Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly changed the way people communicate, particularly through social media as the primary medium for disseminating information. Community Information Groups (KIM) play a strategic role as local information agents responsible for delivering educational and informative content to the public. However, limited skills in designing engaging social media content remain a major challenge in improving communication effectiveness. This community service activity aims to improve digital literacy and content design skills among KIM Jabar Pinter Digital members through a seminar on the use of Canva. The method used was an interactive seminar with a participatory approach, including lectures, demonstrations, and discussions. The results showed an increase in participants' understanding of visual design principles, the use of Canva, and their ability to create more engaging and communicative social media content. This activity contributed to strengthening digital literacy and improving the quality of information dissemination within the community.

Abstract

This research focuses on designing an intuitive and engaging user interface (UI) for the food ordering app at Cafe Masbon Appetit. In the rapidly evolving digital technology landscape, the challenge of interface design often arises when it fails to match actual user needs. This directly impacts low levels of user satisfaction and engagement, a crucial issue that needs to be addressed to ensure the app's adoption and sustainability. To address this issue, we adopted a Design Thinking approach. This methodology was chosen for its ability to foster innovative, human-centered solutions, to improve user convenience, ease of use, and overall interaction with the app. The research process began with the collection of comprehensive user needs data through in-depth interviews and questionnaires distributed to the target audience. The collected information was then analyzed to identify pain points and user preferences. Based on the data obtained, the design solution was realized in the form of an interactive prototype. This prototype was then tested for effectiveness through a series of user tests to validate its functionality and usability. The research results consistently showed that the app successfully provided significant convenience in the food ordering process, increased time efficiency, and delivered a significantly better user experience. This was reflected in the high usability scores, which reflected a substantial level of user satisfaction.

Abstract

This decision support system is designed to address the problem of selecting the best contractor at PT Integrasi Kreasi Zee (Zee Studio), a crucial issue given the project's significance to the company. By implementing the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, a weighted addition algorithm, this system provides a comprehensive analysis tool that enables decision-makers to solve complex problems and produce more qualified and appropriate contractor choices. The system development utilizes the Rational Unified Process (RUP) method to ensure a structured, iterative, and architecture-centered approach, thereby ensuring the resulting system functions optimally according to the company's operational needs and is easy to manage throughout its development life cycle.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has driven digital transformation across various sectors, including education. The Garut District Education Office requires an effective information system to manage educational indicator data for Senior High Schools (SMA). This research aims to design and develop a web-based e-reporting application to automate the reporting process of secondary education Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The system development methodology employs the waterfall model with an object-oriented approach. The application was developed using PHP, MySQL, and modern web technologies. The research findings demonstrate that the e-reporting application successfully addresses the problem of manual work accumulation, accelerates the reporting process, and generates accurate information for educational policy decision-making

Abstract

Lighting on a volleyball court plays a critical role in ensuring visual comfort and player safety during evening training sessions and matches. However, many existing installations still rely on conventional, manually operated lighting that lacks dynamic control over color and intensity, limiting both user experience and energy efficiency. This study proposes the design and implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT)–based smart lighting system for a volleyball court that incorporates color-control capabilities using RGB LED luminaires. The system is built on a NodeMCU (ESP8266) microcontroller as the main controller, a Wi‑Fi network for communication, and the Blynk application as a mobile interface for remote operation. The research follows a system design and development methodology, covering requirements analysis, hardware–software co‑design, implementation, and experimental evaluation. Test results demonstrate that the system can reliably control on/off status, brightness levels, and RGB color in real time through the Blynk interface while maintaining stable wireless connectivity. These findings indicate that the proposed IoT-based smart lighting solution simplifies lighting management, enhances the flexibility of illumination, and offers potential gains in energy efficiency, making it a promising approach for modern, efficient, and interactive volleyball court lighting.
