Abstract

Profitability remains a central indicator of banking performance, reflecting the ability of institutions to sustain growth and resilience in competitive markets. In the Indonesian context, conventional banks face increasing pressure to balance liquidity and capital adequacy in order to optimize returns while maintaining financial stability. This study aims to analyze the influence of liquidity, measured by Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and capital adequacy, measured by Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), on profitability (ROA) among conventional banking sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Employing a quantitative approach, the research uses purposive sampling with secondary data and applies multiple linear regression analysis to examine 30 firm-year observations. The findings reveal that liquidity does not exert a significant effect on profitability, whereas capital adequacy demonstrates a positive and significant impact. Simultaneously, both variables contribute to explaining variations in profitability, underscoring the importance of capital strength in enhancing bank performance. The novelty of this study lies in its empirical evidence from Indonesian conventional banks, highlighting CAR as a critical determinant of profitability. The results provide practical insights for regulators and bank management in designing strategies that prioritize capital adequacy as a driver of sustainable profitability.

Abstract

The digital era has transformed the business landscape of traditional market traders and MSMEs in various regions, presenting new opportunities while also increasing the risk of online fraud. This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of Article 492 of the New Criminal Code in tackling digital fraud and protecting vulnerable small business actors. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical approach, combining normative legal studies and empirical data from interviews with market traders, MSME associations, cybercrime apparatus, and representatives of e-commerce platforms. This study analyzes primary legal sources, such as Article 492 of the New Criminal Code. The results of the study reveal a significant knowledge gap, with 75% of respondents being unaware of Article 492’s existence. The four main factors of vulnerability identified are low digital literacy, limited access to legal information, weak coordination with law enforcement officials, and dominance of large e-commerce platforms. To overcome this, this study offers a three-pillar coordination model, namely law enforcement, improving legal and digital literacy, and an application-based integrated reporting system. These findings confirm that effective digital criminal law requires not only regulation, but also cross-sector synergy and stronger public legal awareness.

Abstract

Violence against medical and health personnel remains a significant challenge in healthcare services due to its adverse effects on healthcare worker safety, service quality, and the safety culture within hospitals. The low rate of incident reporting, resulting from the absence of an accessible, secure, and integrated reporting mechanism, further limits the effectiveness of violence prevention and response efforts. This community service program aimed to strengthen the violence prevention and response system at Dr. Soeharsono Hospital, Banjarmasin, through capacity building, the development of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Violence Incident Reporting, the establishment of a Violence Prevention and Response Task Force, and the development of the Fast Response Internal digital reporting mechanism. The program was conducted on June 8, 2026, involving 30 participants consisting of hospital management representatives, medical personnel, and healthcare workers using a participatory, needs-based approach. Program evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test instruments, with the results analyzed descriptively. The findings demonstrated an improvement in participants' level of understanding from 49.0% in the pre-test to 95.7% in the post-test. The program also produced several governance instruments, including the organizational structure of the Violence Prevention and Response Task Force, the SOP for Violence Incident Reporting, and the Fast Response Internal digital reporting mechanism integrated with QR Codes, Google Forms, and a monitoring dashboard to support incident reporting, verification, documentation, and systematic follow-up. This program contributes to strengthening hospital governance through the development of an integrated violence prevention and response system and has the potential to be adopted by other healthcare facilities.
