Abstract

The purpose of this study was to: determine the interactional effects of teaching technique towards student’s speaking skill that was taught by role plays and filling information gap (both are communicative language teaching) to the students. The research method used was experimental one. Sample size of 60 students consisting of 30 for experimental class and 30 for control class taken from Private University in East Jakarta, and the sampling technique used is cluster sampling. Research instruments used were the test to distinguish the effect of teaching techniques towards student’s speaking skill in the form of oral test (5 items for scoring), that have been tested valid and reliable with coefficient of reliability at 0.839 and 0.705. The research uses two-ways ANOVA test. The result showed there is a significant effect of teaching technique towards student’s speaking skill, as Fobserved = 95.553 > Ftable = 2.77 and Sig = 0.000 < 0.05. The results contribute most to the increasing of student’s speaking skill

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to: determine the interactional effects of teaching technique and language attitude towards student’s speaking skill; determine the effect of teaching technique towards student’s speaking skill; determine the effect of language attitude towards student’s speaking skill; that were taught by role plays and filling information gap (both are communicative language teaching) to the students with different language attitudes. The research method used was experimental one. Sample size of 60 students consisting of 30 for experimental class and 30 for control class taken from Private University in East Jakarta, and the sampling technique used is cluster sampling. Research instruments used were the test to distinguish student’s language attitude in the form of preferential test (20 items) and speaking skill in the form of oral test (5 items for scoring), that have been tested valid and reliable with coefficient of reliability at 0.839 and 0.705. The research uses two-ways ANOVA test. The results showed: 1) There is a significant effect of teaching technique towards student’s speaking skill, as Fobserved = 95.553 > Ftable = 2.77 and Sig = 0.000 < 0.05. 2) There is a significant effect of language attitude towards student’s speaking skill as Fobserved = 10.617 > Ftable = 2.77 and Sig = 0.002 < 0.05. 3) There are significant interactional effects of teaching technique and language attitude towards student’s speaking skill as Fobserved = 8.199 > Ftable = 2.77 and Sig = 0.006 < 0.05. 4) The group of students with positive language attitude would achieve more in speaking skill compared to another groups of language attitude if taught by using role plays technique. Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a significant relationship between reading habits of text and student vocabulary achievement or not. This research was conducted in ninth grade students of SMP 192 Jakarta. Samples were taken as many as 36 students in IX-4 based on the Random Sampling Cluster Technique. The research method used is Ex-Post Facto, meaning that the research is conducted after the facts occur and the data are available. So, the authors only see the effect on the dependent variable based on the documentary supported by library references. Data from the independent variables were collected by questionnaire test techniques and the dependent variables were collected by subjective test techniques. The results of statistical calculations using the Product Moment Test are 0.879. The r-table value of the significant level is 0.05 and the degree of freedom (N-2) = 34 is 0.339. Interpretation of the rxy value to the r-table value is obtained that rxy is higher than r-table (0.879> 0.339). Therefore, the null hypothesis (H0), which says that there is no correlation between students' reading habits in English texts and vocabulary achievement in ninth grade students of SMP 192 Jakarta, is rejected. Meanwhile the alternative hypothesis (Ha), which says that there is a relationship between the reading habits of English text students and vocabulary achievement in ninth grade students of SMP 192 Jakarta, is accepted based on a 5% significance level.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to analyze about suffixes use in English textbook for senior high school on tenth grade. Morphology is the study of morphemes which are the smallest significant units of grammar. There are two kinds of morphology, they are derivational and inflectional. Affixes such as suffixes, infixes, prefixes, ablaut and reduplication are kinds of derivational morphology, meanwhile plural, possessive, past time, progressive, comparative and superlative are kinds of inflectional morphology. Morphology relates to grammar. Grammar is one apsect in studying English. The apsects in grammar sometimes confuse not only the students but also the teachers. Data was taken from English textbooks used by senior high school, English Zone and English book. The participants of this research were the grade tenth students in senior high school. To do the research they were asked to Based on the analyses, it is found that the aspects of grammar focus are revealed in every word. The results of this research are

Abstract

The objective of this paper focused to describe communication strategy used by local guide in museum kesejarahan jakarta, especially types of strategy in communication and the function of each strategy for the local guide to solving their problem on the museum. Communication strategy is the important things that the guide needed to build good conversation with the foreigners visitor there. The objective of this study are to find out the most dominant type of types of strategy in communication and the functions of each strategy when the guide faced the problem when guiding, the writer used descriptive qualitative method. The data is in the conversation. The data collection was done by collecting the data from observation and the conversation problem with each foreigners tourist. The writer analyzes some conversation that can be shown as the problem faced by the tour guide and it used theory by Marianne Celce Murcia in journal of Ekayati and Saniaty. It can be classified into 5 types of communication strategy. The dominant of those theory were interaction strategy.

Abstract

This study examines the challenges faced by the Kotabaru District Office in managing its document archives manually and proposes a web-based electronic archive information system (E-Arsip) as a solution. The research identifies inefficiencies in the current system, such as slow document retrieval, potential document degradation, and organizational issues. A web-based system offers a digital solution that improves access to and the preservation of archives while maintaining document authenticity. This study uses qualitative research methods, including observations, interviews, and document analysis, to design a comprehensive E-Archive system that ensures secure, efficient, and organized document management. The findings show that the system can significantly improve the office’s document handling and support the digital transformation of government administrative processes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan merancang sistem informasi pelacakan dokumen di PT. Pupuk Kujang Cikampek. Saat ini, perusahaan tersebut menghadapi tantangan dalam mengelola dokumen secara efisien karena sistem manual yang digunakan, yang rentan terhadap kesalahan, keterlambatan, dan sulitnya menemukan dokumen yang diperlukan. Dengan begitu penulis ingin merancang sebuah aplikasi yang berbasis website pelacakan dokumen secara online sehingga datayang diterima lebih akurat. Metode yang dipakai dalam merancang aplikasi berbasis website ini menggunakan metode pengembangan sistem model prototyping. Sistem informasi yang dirancang diharapkan dapat mengatasi permasalahan ini dengan menyediakan solusi yang lebih baik dalam manajemen dokumen, mulai dari proses pengarsipan, pencarian, hingga pengelolaan dokumen secara keseluruhan. Dengan sistem ini, perusahaan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan produktivitas, mengurangi biaya operasional, serta meningkatkan layanan kepada pelanggan. Penelitian ini juga memberikan kontribusi ilmiah dalam pengembangan teknologi informasi terkait manajemen dokumen yang dapat diaplikasikan pada berbagai industri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis secara empiris pengaruh kecerdasan adversitas dan efikasi diri secara parsial maupun simultan terhadap kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner, wawancara dan observasi. Teknik pegambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear berganda yang diolah menggunakan software Statistitical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh negatif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan adversitas dengan kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja, terdapat pengaruh negatif dan signifikan antara efikasi diri dengan kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja dan terdapat pengaruh negatif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan adversitas dan efikasi diri secara bersama-sama dengan kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja. Maka, disimpulkan jika terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antar kecerdasan adversitas dan efikasi diri dengan kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir, yang artinya semakin tinggi kecerdasan adversitas dan efikasi diri yang dimiliki mahasiswa maka akan semakin rendah pula kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja pada mahasiswa.
