Abstract

Job insecurity is common among students and is usually reflected in their worries or anxiety about their future job prospects. This study aims to examine the relationship between job insecurity and academic burnout, with academic resilience as a mediator. The subject selection method used purposive sampling, with Indonesian students experiencing anxiety about their future. The Job Insecurity Scale (JIS) was used in this study, with a Cronbach's α score of 0.88. Furthermore, the Maslach Burnout Instrument-Student Survey, with a Cronbach's α score of 0.80, was used to measure academic burnout. Finally, the Academic Resilience scale, with a Cronbach's α score of 0.90, was also used. The results indicate that academic resilience can reduce academic burnout, especially in students experiencing academic job insecurity.

Abstract

Mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder, are pervasive mental health conditions that significantly impair emotional regulation, cognitive functioning, and daily life. Advances in neuropsychology have provided valuable insights into the neural mechanisms underlying mood disorders, yet their integration into therapeutic interventions remains underexplored. This study investigates the influence of neuropsychological principles on the effectiveness of therapeutic techniques in managing mood disorders. The research aimed to evaluate the impact of neuropsychology-informed therapeutic techniques on emotional regulation, cognitive performance, and symptom severity in patients with mood disorders. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining a randomized controlled trial (RCT) with qualitative interviews. The study involved 120 participants diagnosed with mood disorders, divided into intervention and control groups. The intervention group received a 10-week program integrating cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and neurofeedback training, while the control group received standard care. Findings revealed significant improvements in emotional regulation and cognitive functioning among the intervention group compared to the control group (p < 0.01). Participants in the intervention group also reported reduced symptom severity and increased resilience.

Abstract

Micro-retirement is a phenomenon currently prevalent in Indonesia. Micro-retirement, or early retirement, is a phenomenon where individual workers, both men and women, decide to take a break from work for a few months or even years. The purpose of this study was to examine whether male and female gender correlation workers' perceptions of micro-retirement decisions. The sample size for this study was 59 people who were still employed. The sample characteristics were employees who were still working, both men and women, working in Indonesia. Researchers distributed questionnaires to the sample to be completed online. This study used a quantitative method by conducting a chi-square correlation test. This method was used to examine whether gender had a significant influence on the perception of micro-retirement among Indonesian employees. If the sig. <0.05, then the null hypothesis is rejected and Hypothesis a is accepted. The result of the correlation test in this study was 0.862. Because the result was more than 0.05, the null hypothesis was accepted. This means there is no relationship between gender and the perception of micro-retirement. This research demonstrates that both men and women can have micro-retirement perceptions. However, gender is not the determining factor in employees' perceptions of early retirement. Several factors influence individuals' perceptions of micro-retirement, including health, work stress, and family.

Abstract

Digital technology and the internet are developing rapidly due to advances in science and technology. The development of the internet has had a positive impact on various mental health services in Indonesia. Cybercounseling is a new innovation in the world of counseling. Cybercounseling is an online counseling service that can be accessed anywhere by its users. The purpose of this study is to discuss the application and challenges of cybercounseling in Indonesia. This study uses a literature review method, analyzing 15 selected articles from an initial pool of 50 articles obtained through multiple databases, using keywords such as “cybercounseling,” “online counseling,” and “Generation Z.” The selection of articles focused on relevance to the development, opportunities, challenges, and recommendations for digital counseling. The findings suggest that cybercounseling aligns with the digital preferences of Generation Z, as its anonymity, accessibility, and flexibility facilitate engagement and reduce barriers to seeking support. However, its effectiveness is constrained by unresolved issues, particularly ethical standards, data security, and confidentiality, highlighting a gap between technological adoption and regulatory readiness. These challenges suggest that successful implementation depends not only on technological availability but also on clear governance and professional preparedness. In conclusion, the literature indicates that cybercounseling is a promising innovation for expanding mental health support for Generation Z in Indonesia. Nevertheless, realizing its potential requires strengthened regulations, reliable infrastructure, and continuous development of counselors’ digital competencies. Addressing these factors is essential to ensure that cybercounseling services are effective, ethical, and responsive to the needs of a digitally connected generation in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

Sexual harassment is a social issue requiring community involvement in prevention and response efforts. One viable strategy is bystander empowerment, enabling individuals to recognize high-risk situations and take safe action. This community service initiative aimed to enhance the understanding and preparedness of *Karang Taruna* (youth organization) members regarding sexual harassment prevention, its impact on victims, victim protection, the role of bystanders, and the "5D" bystander intervention strategy: Direct, Distract, Delegate, Delay, and Document. The activities employed interactive lectures, discussions, case studies, simulations, and reflection. Evaluation was conducted via pre- and post-tests involving 27 participants with paired data. Results showed an increase in the average participant score from 74.74 (pre-test) to 76.96 (post-test), a gain of 2.22 points. These findings indicate that the Justice Defender Program has the potential to strengthen participants' understanding and preparedness as bystanders in preventing sexual harassment. Program sustainability requires reinforcing the material, simulations, and "booster" sessions to ensure that improved understanding evolves into actual intervention skills and behaviors in real-life situations.
