Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the increase in educational fees and the quality of educational services among the 2024–2025 cohort of students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Tribuana Kalabahi. The background of this research is based on adjustments in educational fees (tuition and credit fees) that demand improvements in professional, responsive, and timely academic service quality. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational approach. The research population consisted of 525 students, with a sample size of 84 respondents determined through the Slovin formula. Data collection utilized a five-point Likert scale questionnaire, ranging from strongly agree, agree, neutral/undecided, disagree, to strongly disagree. The data analysis techniques applied included descriptive statistical analysis, validity and reliability tests, Pearson Product-Moment correlation test, significance test (t-test), and the coefficient of determination. The results of the correlation analysis showed a coefficient value of 0.329 with a significance of 0.002 ($p < 0.05$), which means there is a positive and significant relationship between the increase in educational fees and service quality. The coefficient of determination analysis showed that the educational fees variable contributed 10.9% to service quality, while the remaining 89.1% was influenced by other factors. This study concludes that the increase in educational fees aligns with the improvement of service quality, falling within the low but definite correlation category. The university is advised to increase transparency in financial management and to continuously optimize faculty performance and academic calendar punctuality to meet student expectations.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study was motivated by a shift in the meaning of the belis practice among the Abui people in Manetwati Village. Belis, which was originally understood as a symbol of respect, responsibility, and a bond of kinship, has gradually shifted in meaning to become more oriented toward material values and social status. This situation has given rise to various social problems, such as economic burdens, inter-family conflicts, and potential injustices that may conflict with Christian values. Therefore, this study aims to examine the practice of the belis tradition and to identify the theological-educational values embedded in its implementation among the Abui ethnic group in Manetwati Village. This study employs a qualitative approach with an exploratory research design. Data collection techniques included interviews and documentation involving traditional leaders, church leaders, and local residents. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the practice of belis among the Abui ethnic group in Manetwati Village continues to play a significant role as part of the traditional customs surrounding marriage. Belis is understood as a symbol of respect for women, men’s responsibility, and a bond strengthening family ties between both parties. Theology Education Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tribuana Kalabahi University. Advisor: I Agnes M. Kolly, S.Si.Teol., M.Fil. This study aims to describe the perceptions of female victims of dating violence in the Theology Education Program at Tribuana Kalabahi University. This study was motivated by the phenomenon of dating violence, which impacts the psychological, social, and academic well-being of victims and is influenced by patriarchal culture and power dynamics within relationships. The research method employed was qualitative, with a sample of 4 female students who had experienced dating violence. The results of the study indicate that the forms of violence experienced include physical, verbal/psychological violence, as well as possessive behavior and excessive control. Of these three forms, the most dominant is verbal and psychological violence, characterized by controlling behavior, restrictions on social interactions, and the emotional pressure experienced by the victims. The victims’ perceptions of this violence varied; some interpreted it as a form of love and affection, while others recognized that these actions constituted harmful violence.
