Abstract

In 2019, the case of Covid 19 (corona virus) became a global pandemic, including in Indonesia. The government and the Church in Indonesia responded by doing social distancing with an appeal to congregation members to worship at home. This is an experience that refreshes the faith of the elderly who have not been able to reach the Church due to physical decline, but because of the decrease in the death rate the Church can return to church in the Church. This then creates a dilemma among the elderly because the church has to return to the church building, so the physically limited elderly can no longer go to church because the house church has been completed. The purpose of this study is to provide theological considerations with various sources to consider the practice of house churches for the elderly after Covid 19. The method used is hermeneutics on the implementation of house churches as well as physiological and psychological analysis of the elderly. The result of this research is that house churches are a new thing in the Christian world, because the prototype according to the Bible can be found in the worship patterns of the early church initiated by the Apostles. And the house church concept answers the needs of the elderly who have not been able to go to church for so long because of decreased physical abilities and psychological changes. Thus the House Church can be an option for the Church to make it a special Church program to answer the spiritual needs of the elderly who cannot reach the Church after COVID-19 in Indonesia. The Elderly Home Church is very friendly for the elderly.

Abstract

Land and the people who live on it have intimate interconnections. This is expressed in the form of local wisdom. Local wisdom itself has made many valuable contributions to land management by paying attention to aspects of sustainable ecosystems (sustainability). One of the local wisdoms is tranggang-trangbu in the Wangsina Community of Langkuru Village, Pureman District, Alor Regency. This local wisdom is based on the belief that even years are good years and odd years are bad years. Therefore, the Wangsina people will only plant in even years, while their agricultural land is rested on odd years. The location for the implementation of this tradition is on three large mountain slopes and will be cleared one by one (rotation system) every even year, so that the total time to rest the land that has been cultivated is 6 years. However, several problems arise in the implementation of this local wisdom, because this tradition is clashed with theological and economic understanding. These things, make the Wangsina people "giddy" in practicing their local wisdom. the method of writing this article is descriptive qualitative. Therefore, this paper aims to examine this tradition from the perspective of contextual theology in order to produce an understanding of land-friendly contextual theology in the Wangsina community.

Abstract

The 2025 Community Empowerment Joint Lecture (KBPM) of Tribuana Kalabahi University in Maru Village, Pura Island, was held with the aim of increasing community economic independence through the utilisation of local potential. The method used was a participatory action approach involving housewives, fishermen, students, field assistants (DPL), and the village government. The results of the activity showed the creation of two innovative flagship products, namely Butter Sweet (Bungaa corn product) and Sambal Ikan Tali, which were produced using modern techniques, packaged hygienically, and began to be introduced through digital platforms. In addition to producing value-added products, this programme also encouraged active community participation, improved technical skills, and fostered confidence to introduce products to a wider market. The conclusion of this activity is that the synergy between academics, the community, and the village government is capable of bringing about sustainable empowerment based on local potential. The success of KBPM in Maru Village is a model of collaboration that can be replicated in other villages in order to strengthen local identity while opening up economic opportunities for the community in the era of the global market.
