Abstract

The advancement of digital technology in education demands learning innovations that integrate technology with character building for students. This study aims to examine the transformation of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) learning in elementary schools through the use of the CivicEdu platform. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach at SDN Socah 04, involving teachers and fifth-grade students as research subjects. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and questionnaires, then analyzed using an interactive analysis model that includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the use of CivicEdu can improve the quality of PPKn learning, making it more interactive, structured, and student-centered. In addition, this platform facilitates teachers in classroom management, monitoring the learning process, and implementing evaluations more effectively, and receives a positive response from students, marked by increased interest and participation in learning. CivicEdu also has the advantage of integrating character education, national values, and strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile into the learning process. Thus, CivicEdu can be an alternative relevant digital learning platform to support the implementation of the Independent Curriculum and strengthen student character in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the roles of students and teachers in building collaboration in Project Based Learning at Muhammadiyah 1 Elementary School, Bangkalan. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research subjects consisted of fourth-grade teachers, sixth-grade teachers, and students at Muhammadiyah 1 Elementary School, Bangkalan. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews and documentation of student project results. Data were analyzed descriptively to describe the roles of students, teachers, obstacles, and solutions in building collaboration through project-based learning. The results show that students' roles are seen through their involvement in group discussions, task distribution, information seeking, and collaborative project completion. Meanwhile, teachers act as learning designers, group builders, facilitators, mentors, and evaluators during project activities. However, student collaboration has not run optimally because several obstacles are still encountered, such as students dominating the group, passive students, conflicts between members, limited digital facilities, lack of structured learning tools, and limited learning time. This study concludes that the success of building collaboration in Project Based Learning requires the active role of teachers in designing structured learning and the active role of students in participating equally so that collaborative learning objectives can be optimally achieved.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has increased the use of social media among elementary school students. This condition requires an understanding of students' digital behavior so that the use of social media can be done wisely and responsibly. This study aims to describe students' digital behavior in the use of social media through the use of digital literacy LKPD (Student Worksheet) at SDN Petaonan 2. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. The research subjects consist of teachers and students. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and digital literacy LKPD in the form of open-ended questions designed to explore students' experiences, habits, and understanding in using social media. Data was analyzed using content analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that most students have actively used social media for communication, entertainment, and obtaining information. Through LKPD, it was found that students already have a basic understanding of the ethics of using social media, but there is still a tendency to overuse and lack of ability to filter digital content. Schools play a role through restricting the use of mobile phones and providing directions on the wise use of social media. Therefore, collaboration between schools and parents is needed in improving students' digital literacy from an early age.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of implementing inclusive learning that can accommodate the diversity of student characteristics through adaptive learning strategies. Differentiated learning is one approach that can be used to adjust the learning process based on student needs so that all students can be optimally involved in learning activities. This study aims to describe the implementation of differentiated learning on the Unity of Indonesia material in inclusive elementary school classes at each grade level, as well as to identify the forms of learning strategy adjustments applied by teachers based on student characteristics and needs. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The study was conducted at SDN Banyuajuh 2 with research subjects of teachers in grades I, IV, and VI. Data collection techniques were carried out through semi-structured interviews with data analysis using the Miles and Huberman interactive model that includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that teachers apply different differentiated learning strategies according to the characteristics and needs of students at each grade level. In lower grades, learning emphasizes individual assistance and emotional regulation, while in higher grades, it emphasizes strengthening social participation pthrough group activities. Research findings indicate that differentiated learning in inclusive education is not static, but evolves according to the developmental needs of students. Therefore, the implementation of differentiated learning focuses not only on academic aspects but also considers the social and emotional aspects of students in inclusive learning.

Abstract

Pancasila education in primary schools plays a fundamental role in shaping students’ character, particularly in fostering the value of social justice. However, learning practices that remain overly theoretical often limit students’ understanding of how Pancasila values are applied in real-life situations. This study aims to describe the implementation of social justice values through fable storytelling with a poverty theme in fourth-grade Pancasila Education learning. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed in this research. The learning process was implemented using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model and utilized a fable titled “Kancil and the Village Granary Guardian Mouse” as the instructional medium. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and student discussion activities. The findings indicate that fable-based learning enhances students’ understanding of social justice values, increases empathy, and fosters social awareness as well as cooperation among students. Furthermore, the CTL approach encourages active participation, questioning, and the ability to connect learning materials with real-life experiences. Thus, the integration of fable storytelling with contextual learning provides an effective, engaging, and meaningful alternative for Pancasila education in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in civics learning and the civic participation of elementary school students during project-based learning. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The study was conducted at SDN Socah 2, with fifth and sixth-grade students selected using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and a student participation questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of the PjBL model was able to create more active, interactive, and contextual learning through project activities such as poster creation in fifth grade and brochures in sixth grade. Student participation was evident in their active participation in discussions, their ability to work together, their responsibility in completing assignments, and their courage to express their opinions. The questionnaire results showed an average student participation score of 74.7, with a participation percentage reaching 93.38%, which is categorized as very good. Despite constraints such as time constraints and differences in student collaboration skills, the PjBL model was able to provide meaningful learning experiences and encourage the application of civic values in everyday life.
