Abstract

Anemia of pregnancy can cause high morbidity and mortality rates. This study aims to explore the maternal knowledge level of anemia of pregnancy reviewed based on age, education and parity. This study has 30 samples. The results shows that the maternal knowledge level of anemia on pregnancy is as follows: mothers <20 years of age had low level of knowledge (77,78%); mothers with low education had low level of knowledge (80%); and primigravid mothers had low level of knowedge as well (75%). Thus, it can be concluded that low level of knowledge regarding anemia on pregnancy can generally be found in mothers whose age is <20 years, with low education, and who are expecting their first child.

Abstract

Abstract

Kepercayaan diri ibu menyusui merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan menyusui dan dapat menjadi prediktor keputusan ibu menyusui atau tidak. Ibu dengan self efficacy rendah dalam mempunyai risiko tiga kali lebih besar untuk menunda inisiasi menyusui dan menghentikan pemberian ASI eksklusif sebelum waktunya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai pengaruh pemberian kombinasi akupresur dan afirmasi positif terhadap efikasi diri menyusui. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi eksperimen yaitu desain single-group pretest-posttest tanpa kelompok kontrol. Penelitian dilakukan di UPTD Puskesmas I Wilayah Kerja Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Denpasar Selatan, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 34 ibu nifas yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi purposive sampling. Peneliti menggunakan kuesioner Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale-Short Form (BSES-SF) untuk mengumpulkan data, dan melakukan analisis data dengan menggunakan uji univariat dan Uji Wilcoxon. Hasilnya menunjukkan nilai z sebesar -5,045, dengan Asymp.Sig dua sisi. sebesar 0,000 (nilai p<0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian akupresur dan afirmasi positif mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap self efficacy menyusui. Penerapan akupresur dan afirmasi positif dapat meningkatkan rasa percaya diri ibu menyusui pada tahap awal menyusui.

Abstract

Midwives are part of the frontline health workers who are in direct contact with clients and have a risk of being exposed to Covid-19. To protect oneself during direct contact with clients, it is mandatory to adhere to infection prevention and control practices, which include administrative, environmental and engineering controls as well as proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the behavior of midwives in the use of appropriate PPE in midwifery services during the Covid-19 pandemic and the adaptation of new habits. The design of this study was cross-sectional analytic. The subject of the study was the Pomegranate Midwife in Denpasar City who had an Independent Midwife Practice who continued to provide services during the Covid-19 pandemic with a sample of 63 people according to the inclusion criteria. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between age (p=0.012), work experience (p= 0.011), attitude (p= 0.01) and knowledge (p= 0.014) with behavior in the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). appropriate level in providing midwifery services during the Covid-19 pandemic. So that to maintain good service quality, midwives in providing services continue to apply health protocols, maintain service quality by maintaining knowledge, and use appropriate levels in midwifery services.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Ketidaknyamanan berupa nyeri punggung bawah yang tidak ditangani secara memadai pada ibu hamil berpotensi menurunkan kualitas hidup dan mengganggu pola tidur. Namun, hanya sebagian kecil dari mereka yang secara aktif mencari pertolongan profesional, termasuk kepada bidan, ketika mengalami keluhan selama masa kehamilan. Tujuan: Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas intervensi gabungan PRABA (Pranayama, Afirmasi, dan Balasana) serta kompres jahe merah dalam mengelola nyeri punggung dan meningkatkan kualitas tidur. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi experiment dengan pendekatan one group pretest-posttest. Sebanyak 30 ibu hamil pada trimester kedua dan ketiga dipilih sebagai partisipan melalui teknik purposive sampling. Intervensi dilakukan selama empat minggu dengan pelatihan PRABA dan kompres jahe merah. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji paired t test. Hasil: Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan kualitas tidur (PSQI, p = 0,000) dan penurunan nyeri punggung (NRS, p = 0,000). Simpulan: Kesimpulannya, intervensi PRABA dan kompres jahe merah efektif sebagai pendekatan non-farmakologis untuk ibu hamil.

Abstract

Background: Affective touch aims to convey affection to children. This touch is closely related to emotional needs and social bonds, which strengthen relationships between individuals. Children in orphanages often experience a lack of affective touch, which causes persistent stress.Objectives: To determine caregivers' perceptions of the social-emotional development of babies and children who receive baby massage as daily affective touch at the Metta Mama and Maggha Foundations.Methods: This research is a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach. The sample consisted of 25 caregivers, using the total population. Data was collected through focus group discussions (FGDs), with each group consisting of 8-9 caregivers.Results: Some participants have the perception that a socially healthy child is a child who is able to adapt and interact with others, some participants have the perception that children need social-emotional aspects such as the need for affection, attention, the need to be loved, a sense of security, and a desire to be understood, some participants have the perception that the role of caregivers is very large because it replaces the role of parents, most participants said that baby massage has been done on children aged 0-6 months, some participants have the perception that baby massage can affect the calmness, comfort of babies so that they can be more optimal in carrying out daily activities, some participants have the perception that children who are socially-emotionally healthy behave more understandingly, confidently and more quickly accept the information given and all participants have the perception that it is very important to apply parenting patterns with touch, because of the lack of touch in orphanages.Conclusions: According to caregivers at the Metta Mama & Maggha Foundation, it is important to implement parenting patterns with touch in the form of baby massage as Daily Affective Touch in children's social-emotional development
