Abstract

Algorithmic management has become increasingly prevalent in modern workplaces, where AI-mediated systems monitor, assign, and evaluate employee tasks. The introduction of these technologies raises concerns regarding employee perceptions, engagement, and performance outcomes. Understanding how psychological safety influences employee adaptation to AI supervision is critical for designing effective and human-centered management systems. The study aims to examine the mediating role of psychological safety in the relationship between algorithmic management and employee performance. It investigates whether transparency, feedback clarity, and perceived fairness of algorithmic systems impact performance outcomes through employees’ perceptions of a psychologically safe work environment. A cross-sectional research design was employed, involving 312 employees from organizations utilizing AI-mediated management. Data were collected through validated survey instruments assessing algorithmic management exposure and psychological safety, complemented by objective performance metrics from organizational dashboards. Structural equation modeling was applied to test the hypothesized mediation effects. Findings indicate that psychological safety significantly mediates the effect of algorithmic management on both task completion and quality. Employees perceiving higher transparency and fair feedback demonstrate elevated safety, which translates into improved performance. The study underscores that AI systems must account for human perceptions to achieve sustainable productivity. Evidence from this research provides guidance for managers, system designers, and policymakers in developing AI-mediated supervision that balances efficiency with employee well-being.

Abstract

Quantum teleportation through optical communication channels is one of the promising technologies to create secure communication systems in the future. This study aims to evaluate the efficiency of quantum teleportation through various types of optical communication channels, such as standard optical fibers, low-loss optical fibers, and free photon-based communication lines. The research was conducted using a quantitative experimental method, measuring the success rate of teleportation based on channel length, channel type, and environmental disturbances. The results showed that low-loss optical fibers had the highest efficiency, with a success rate of 85% at distances of up to 50 km. The free photon-based path shows good performance at short distances, but decreases drastically at longer distances due to atmospheric disturbances. The study also found that photon loss and environmental disturbances are the main factors affecting entanglement stability, especially in channels more than 75 km long. The conclusion of this study confirms that low-loss optical fiber is the best choice to support quantum teleportation on a local to medium scale. The main challenges in the development of this technology are the reduction of photon loss and the management of environmental disturbances. Further research is needed to address these limitati

Abstract

Quantum coherence has been shown to play a crucial role in optimizing energy transfer in photosynthetic systems, especially in the Fenna-Matthews-Olson (FMO) complex, which is responsible for efficiently capturing light energy in photosynthetic bacteria. While quantum coherence is often considered fragile and short-lived in biological systems, recent studies have indicated its potential for sustaining long-lived coherence, facilitating highly efficient energy transfer. This research investigates the implications of long-lived quantum coherence in the FMO complex for energy transfer efficiency, exploring how coherence persistence enhances the system’s performance. The objective of this study is to analyze the effects of long-lived quantum coherence on energy transfer efficiency in the FMO complex under varying environmental conditions, such as temperature and bath coupling. The results demonstrate that long-lived quantum coherence directly correlates with higher energy transfer efficiency, with temperature and environmental factors playing a significant role in maintaining coherence. The study shows that the FMO complex utilizes quantum coherence as an active resource to optimize energy conversion, achieving efficiencies well beyond classical expectations. In conclusion, this research underscores the importance of quantum coherence in biological energy transfer processes and offers insights into bio-inspired quantum systems for efficient energy harvesting.

Abstract

Background. Increasing carbon emissions in developing countries is a serious challenge in climate change mitigation efforts. Renewable energies such as solar, wind, and biomass have great potential to reduce carbon footprint while increasing access to sustainable energy. Purpose. This study aims to analyze the potential of renewable energy in reducing carbon emissions in developing countries, as well as identify the main obstacles that hinder its utilization. Method. The research method uses a quantitative and qualitative approach, involving data analysis from various international reports as well as case studies from several developing countries. The data was analyzed to measure the potential of renewable energy, the level of utilization, and its impact on reducing carbon emissions. Results. The results show that although the potential of renewable energy is high, its utilization is still low due to infrastructure limitations, inconsistent policies, and inadequate funding. Conclusion. The study concludes that renewable energy can be an important solution in reducing carbon footprints in developing countries with stable policy support and international collaboration. Investment in infrastructure and local capacity building is needed to overcome implementation constraints.

Abstract

The post-Reformasi era in Indonesia since 1998 has witnessed a dynamic resurgence of Islamic politics, featuring a complex landscape of both large moderate civil society organizations and formal Islamist political parties. This study aimed to comparatively analyze the evolution, political strategies, and societal impact of these diverse Islamic movements in Indonesia’s democratic transition. A qualitative research methodology was employed, utilizing a case study approach. Data was gathered through discourse analysis of party manifestos and public statements, as well as in-depth interviews with political and religious leaders. The findings reveal a strategic divergence: Nahdlatul Ulama has largely focused on influencing politics from a civil society perspective, promoting cultural Islam and pluralism. In contrast, Islamist parties have pursued formal state power, often employing identity politics. This has created a continuous negotiation within the public sphere between substantive Islamic values and formalist political agendas. The study concludes that Indonesian Islamic political movements are not monolithic. The enduring influence of moderate mass organizations acts as a crucial counterbalance to the formal political aspirations of Islamist parties, shaping a unique and contested model of Islamic democracy.
