Abstract

This research was aimed to know the phenomenon of the water evaporation speed of breadfruits crackers in the vacuum frying process used the mathematic model apply. Breadfruits crackers were fried on the 60 cmHg, 65cm Hg, and 70 cmHg with the duration of frying was 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and 60 minutes. The parameter of this research was the change water content  and water evaporation speed. Data processing was using SPSS version 2.0 and the mathematic model was using Microsoft Excel. The result of the research showed that the vacuum pressure and the duration of the frying process were influential toward the change in the water content and water evaporation speed of breadfruit crackers during frying process in the vacuum pressure. The less the vacuum pressure is the longer the frying process will be the less water content of breadfruit crackers produced

Abstract

This study aims to design the tool and know the tool's performance that is total average number of seeds that falling with planting tools designed. The research's data of result of were obtained from testing of the tool's performance on three seedbed with one time test on every seedbed. The first seedbed on right lane is 2.4 seeds/falling point and left lane is 2.3 seeds/falling point. The second seedbed on right lane is 2.2 seeds / falling point and left lane is 2.3 seed / falling point. The third seedbed on right lane is 2.2 seeds / falling point and left lane is 2.3 seeds / falling point. While for planting spacing first seedbed on right lane is 5.14 cm / falling point and left lane is 5.10 cm / falling point, second seedbed on right lane is 5.14 cm / falling point and left lane is 5.11 cm / fall point, third seedbed on right lane is 5.14 cm / fall point and left lane is 5.11 cm / fall point.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the modification of the drying machine using coconut shell fuel and to determine the fuel requirements during the drying process of grain (rice grain). This research is a design research. The procedure for carrying out this research includes designing tools, making frames, making framework that can be used by thermometers and fans, as well as making furnaces. During the research process the parameters observed were the consumption of fuel used during the drying process. The research data was obtained from the results of the test machine dryer. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that consumption of coconut shell fuel for 4 hours of drying was 13.5 kg. The drying result from wet grain is 18 kg to 16.2 kg dry grain with an average dry water content of 12.76%

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the  demonstration methods on the subjects of agricultural tools and machines class X Plantations Agribusiness of SMK Negeri 6 Takalar. This research is quasi experiment in  pre-test and post-test form with number of population is 21 people and all the population is used to be sample. Data obtained by documentation technique, testing, and observation. Research procedure includes stages: pre-test, treatment, post-test. The results of the research showed that the application of the demonstration learning methods is effective and can increase student achievement in subjects agricultural tools and machines of class X ATP of SMK Negeri 6 Takalar, Takalar district. This was evident in the pre-test and post-testt which  increased. Based on the quantitative analysis of this research showed that the classical learning completeness in the pre-test about 14.28%, on a post-test increased to 90.48% with the effectiveness level of learning demonstration methods stood at 80.73 a scale of 100

Abstract

Inadequate disposal of livestock manure has caused environmental pollution around the village, both water, soil and air (smell). Animal waste in the form of liquid is deliberately flowed into the river while solid waste is left piled up around the cage. The occurrence of odor and pollution is sometimes triggered social conflict, with complaints from local communities. With a population of 35 head of cattle for a farmer group, assuming the average per cow yields 15 kg of solid waste, the waste produced can reach approximately 525 kg per day. The lack of knowledge and the low educational background of the cattle ranchers in the Arabica Village makes the awareness of the environment to be lacking, as well as the technology of processing animal waste and the benefits. Biogas Reaktors of animal waste, although they have heard but lack of knowledge of how to make biogas installations and the assumption that the budget is spent to build the technology makes them prefer to allocate these funds to other things in order for the survival of livestock business can be sustainable. By looking at the existing potential, of course, if managed properly, Arabica Village can become an energy independent village and is a new business opportunity, for biogas products and residues from the installation of biogas in the form of organic fertilizer.

Abstract

This research aims to know the formulationsbolu kukus cake by using sweet potato flour and to know the varieties of sweet potatoes in the creation of bolu kukus cake. The research method using Random Complete. The results that it is processed using the techniques of analysis investigated a variety of ANOVA with a further DMRT (Duncan Multiple Rate). The results showed that most preferred by the panelists on the treatment A3Z3 with the formulation of flour 40% and sweet potato flour purple 60%

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the chemical and hedonic quality on catfish sangkuriang smoke with the different of concentration salt which  processed using methods smoke cabinet. This study used a complete randomized design (CRD). The data analyzed using the analysis range and the further DMRT. Data processed using data on the program SPSS version 20.Parameters observed in research is water content, fat content, protein content and value hedonik catfishes sangkuriang smoke.The result showed the best treatment derived from treatment a salt concentration of 17%.either on chemical analysis and of testing hedonik

Abstract

This study aims to know the guava leaf powder concentration and level of panelist acceptance on the quality of pindang eggs produced. The research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with treatment of guava leaf powder solution concentration of 30%, 45% and 60%. The parameters observed in this research were water content, protein content, and hedonic value of pindang eggs. The analytical technique used in this study is the analysis of variance analyzed using SPSS version 22. The results showed the chemical quality of the pindang egg with the addition of guava leaf powder which was used in a very significant effect on the reduction in water content and the resulting protein  egg pindang  content. Organoleptic test results on color, texture, aroma and taste most preferred by the panelist that is on the of treatment C with concentration of guava leaf powder addition 60%

Abstract

The objectives of the research were (1) find out the concentration of tartrate acid (2) extraction timeof betacyanin on red dragon fruit skin.  The research employed  experimental research using Complete Randomized Design (CRD) factorial pattern by the concentration of tartrate acid 0.50%, 0.75%, 1% and 1.25% and extraction time 3 days, 4 days and 5 days. The obtained data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The result showed that (1) the extraction using tartrate acid concentration of 1% for3 days  (K3T1)  produced  the highest  level  of betacyanin content (2)  analysis of  pH  (3,  5,  6,  7, 8)  and temperature (40oC, 50oC, 60oC) showed the extraction of the red dragon fruit skin were stable at pH 7.Extract without treatment of optimum pH addition stabilized at 40oC, while the result of red dragon fruitskin’s extraction by addition of optimum pH stabilized at 50oC.

Abstract

This research was aims to know the mechanism of heat transfer in starchy food during roasting process using sand as a medium for heat transfer. This research is experimental research, and the research samples were shrimp crackers roasted at the temperature of 120, 140 and 160 oC within roasting time of 10, 15, 20 and 25 seconds. During the roasting process, the temperature of sand and crackers was measured using a thermocouple to know the change in temperature that happened. The parameters being observed the temperature, water content of crackers and rate of heat transfer. The research results showed that during the roasting process, the changes of temperature, water content of the crackers and rate of heat transfer. The higher the temperature and the length of time roasting cause the temperature of the crackers to increase closer to the temperature of the sand with the decrease in the water content of crackers and increase in the rate of heat transfer
