Abstract

This study aims to find out how the management of Lemo beach is based on the current conditions and to determine the appropriate development strategy in the management of Lemo beach tourism, as a marine tourism destination in East Luwu. The research method is descriptive and quantitative. The types of research are field observations, questionnaires and literature studies, techniques and data collection instruments using observation techniques, questionnaires, literature and documentation and data analysis techniques using descriptive techniques and using SWOT analysis. namely visitors or tourists who are used as a source of information needed in research, while the object of research is Lemo Beach as a marine tourism destination. The results showed that from the SWOT Analysis, which uses the EFE Matrix, the IFE Matrix and SWOT Matrix external factors with the highest scores that affect the development of tourist objects are opportunity factors namely the chance of high tourist interest so Lemo beach can be a beautiful tourist spot, while the highest threat is negative impact of tourism. Internal factors with the highest score are strength factors, namely natural potential that supports tourism activities, cool and beautiful air, while the weakness factor is lack of awareness of the environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mechanism and effect of drying corn kernels using a grain dryer (Tray Dryer). This research is a type of experiment research consisting of 2 variables. Variable A is temperature with 3 variable levels (60 ° C, 65 ° C, 70 ° C) and variable B is drying time with 3 variable levels (3 hours, 4 hours and 5 hours). The research sample is corn seed off harvest with an initial water content of 21.1% dried using a rack-shaped dryer (Tray dryer). To find out the temperature changes that occur, the drying process is measured by the temperature of the drying chamber and the temperature of corn kernels using a thermometer. Before and after drying the water content was measured to determine the changes in corn seed moisture content of each treatment used. The results showed that the higher the temperature and the length of the drying process will cause the drying rate to be faster and the decrease in water content will be smaller or slower.

Abstract

The aims of this research was to determine the effect of giving MOL toward growth, survival and production of kale. This research used a completely randomized design, which consists of 4 treatments and 3 replications  consisted of A treatment (24%), B treatment (30%), C treatment (36%)  and control. Parameters that was observed include growth, production and survival. Technique of  data analyzed using analysis of variance. The results showed that the treatment of MOL concentration had an effect on the growth and production of kale. However, it  no effect on the survival rate of kale. The best treatment has resulted from the addition of MOL concentration of 24%  with  characteristics plant height was 46.73 cm, the number of leaves was 45 strands on 28 days after planting, weight per plant was 14.67 g, and weight per polybag was 39,91 g after planting

Abstract

Feed in the cultivation of catfish become the main factor affect the success of cultivation. This study aims to reveal and survival of nursery thorugh adding leaf cassava dust to feed. This study uses a T test (one sample T test) to compare treatments with the provision of organic feed and commercial feed consisting of 3 replications. The dose of feeding is 3% of the weight of the fish for 30 days of maintenance with the frequency of feeding twice a day. Parameters observed included weight growth and survival as well as temperature, pH, DO and NH3 of catfish. The results showed that the provision of organic feed in the African catfish nursery did not have an effect on the parameters of weight growth and survival. Overall treatment of feed with the addition of cassava leaf flour supports catfish growth which can be seen in the growth of catfish weight which increases during maintenance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to to determine the lead contamination and water quality in Tallo River by comparing it with standards quality of waters, to obtain information and data on the effect of industrial waste on the level of lead pollution (Pb) in the watersTallo River, and to analysis the effect of lead on water quality (temperature, pH and dissolved oxygen) in Tallo River. This research was a descriptive study using a survey method. The study was conducted by taking samples of water, soil, and fish at three different stations, namely at the Tello Bridge area, at the area around the section of the Toll Bridge and at the Port of Paotere. The results of this study indicated that lead (Pb) pollution in water, fish and soil, were still below the threshold value. This indicated that water, fish and the land of the Tallo River were still in good condition. Tallo River water quality (temperature, pH and DO), according to Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001, was categorized in the class 3 water criteria. Industrial waste on the Tallo River to Paotere Port had affected the concentration of lead in water, fish and land but has not exceeded the normal threshold. The results of linear regression test showed that effect of lead (Pb) on water temperature only 36% and the remaining 64% determined by other factors (R2= 0,3627), meaning that lead (Pb) in the Tallo River had less effect on temperature. Lead (Pb) in the Tallo River had less effect on DO parameters (R2= 0,4417). According to analysis, lead (Pb) in the Tallo River had high effect on pH parameters (R2= 0,9048).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of liquid smoke concentration to the chemical properties of dumbo catfish fish and to determine the level of panelist acceptance of the organoleptic value of the resulting dumbo catfish fish. This research is a quantitative research (experiment) using Randomized Complete Design (RAL) with variation of liquid smoke concentration 0%, 6%, 8% and 10%. At fogging 4 hours with temperature 60 ℃. Parameters observed included moisture content, fat content, protein content, phenol content, TBA and organoleptics including flavor, aroma, color, and texture. The data obtained will be analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Duncan's advanced test. The results showed that smoked dumbo catfish using liquid smoke most favored by panelists was Dumbo catfish smoke which was produced at 10% liquid smoke concentration treatment.

Abstract

The study was aimed to determine the influence of melinjo flour substitution on the contents of protein, fat, ash, water, and carbohydrates in dodol melinjo and to determine the acceptance of the panelists on dodol melinjo based on the organoleptic test results. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was applied in this study using formulation such as K treatment (0% melinjo flour and 100% glutinous rice flour), A treatment (75% melinjo flour and 25% glutinous rice flour), B treatment (60% melinjo flour and 40% glutinous rice flour), and C treatment (50% melinjo flour and 50% glutinous rice flour). The result show that the best proximate test was resulted in C treatment with the same amount concentration between melinjo flour and glutinous rice flour.

Abstract

Research this aim for knowing influence variation time frying chips of talas (Colocasia esculenta L ., Schott) use vacuum frying to organoleptic quality, moisture content, levels ash, content fat, protein and carbohydrates. The samples used were chips of talas of which were processed using vacuum frying at 90 0C with frying time of 65, 70 and 75 minutes, this study used a complete randomized design (RAL). Results research chips of talas use vacuum frying at a temperature of 90 0C with time frying 75 minutes is treatment best with produce water content (1.21%), levels ash (0.77%), protein (1.97%), fat (25.80%), carbohydrate (70.29%). The level Favorite ( hedonic ) the chips of talas on time frying 75 minutes use vacuum frying with temperature 90 0C is treatment most liked by the panelis both in terms of color, taste, aroma  and texture.

Abstract

Diversifikasi produk perikanan merupakan kegiatan menambah nilai tambah ikan khususnya ikan Bandeng menjadi produk bernilai tambah seperti nugget dan bakso. Pelatihan deversifikasi produk perikanan di daerah Pangkep merupakan kegiatan alih pengetahuan yang dilakukan dengan tujuan: 1) menambah pengetahuan masyarakat khususnya ibu-ibu nelayan yang tinggal di sekitar daerah pesisir dalam aspek teknologi pengolahan hasil perikanaan menjadi nugget ikan. 2) menambah pengetahuan masyarakat khususnya ibu-ibu nelayan yang tinggal di sekitar daerah pesisir dalam aspek teknologi pengolahan hasil perikanaan menjadi bakso ikan, dan  3) menambah pengetahuan praktek pengemasan produk yang aman, menarik dan memenuhi daya simpan produk hasil olahan.  Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Masyarakat, ibu-ibu, dan remaja karangtaruna telah memperoleh pengetahuan dan terampil dalam membuat produk nugget berbahan dasar ikan bandeng, 2)  Masyarakat, ibu-ibu,  dan remaja karangtaruna telah memperoleh pengetahuan dan terampil dalam membuat produk bakso berbahan dasar ikan bandeng, 3) Masyarakat, ibu-ibu,  dan remaja karangtaruna telah memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan membuat kemasan produk yang aman, tahan dan menarik.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine distributioninput and output capacity of water on the vacuums’ shelter and the impact of cultivation system in developing vertikultur device of  pumpenergy. This research is a design building. The data that collected consist of hydrostatic pressure (P), input and output capacity of water distribution, water discharge, plant height and plant production. The data was analyzed by using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the water circulation occurred because P1> P2 with the value of each pressure was P1 4900 kg/ms2 and P2 1960 kg/ms2, the average of inputdistribution capacity was 202.5 ml/sec while the distribution of water output capacity was 184.5 ml / sec, the average of water discharge as long as output experiment was 0,32 ml/sec and input 0,39 ml/sec. Then this device was applied to the kale plant.
