Abstract

The Thematic Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata Tematik/KKN-T) is a form of community engagement aimed at enhancing social, environmental, and educational awareness within the community. This program was implemented in RT 02 RW 01, Sawah Lebar Sub-district, Ratu Agung District, Bengkulu City. The identified issues included low environmental management awareness, limited educational activities for children, and underutilization of the surrounding community spaces. The methods applied in this program consisted of observation, participatory approaches, direct education, and community-based practical activities. The implemented programs included environmental cleanliness socialization, learning assistance for children, health exercise activities, and the utilization of recycled materials as environmental education media. The results indicated increased community participation, improved awareness of environmental cleanliness, and enhanced learning motivation among children. This KKN-T program is expected to provide sustainable positive impacts and strengthen the role of students as agents of change in the community

Abstract

Educational disparities in underdeveloped regions remain a persistent issue within the Indonesian education system. Limited educational facilities, the dominant role of teachers, and challenges in the implementation of educational digitalization are key factors affecting the quality of learning in these areas. This study aims to examine educational disparities in underdeveloped regions by analyzing limitations in educational facilities, the role of teachers, and the challenges of educational digitalization. The study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method. Data were collected from academic journal articles, official government reports, documents from international organizations, and relevant online media published within the last five years. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive qualitative techniques through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that inadequate educational facilities remain a major barrier to effective learning in underdeveloped regions. Teachers play a critical role in sustaining educational processes; however, the heavy reliance on teachers reflects insufficient systemic support. Educational digitalization offers potential to reduce educational disparities, yet its implementation is constrained by limited technological infrastructure and uneven digital literacy. The study highlights the importance of integrated and context-sensitive policy approaches to address educational disparities in underdeveloped regions.

Abstract

PThe rapid development of digital technology has changed public information consumption patterns and encouraged print media organizations to adapt in order to remain relevant within an increasingly competitive media industry. This study aims to analyze the transformation of Harian Rakyat Bengkulu from print media to digital media and to identify forms of editorial adaptation during the disruption era. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis was based on five dimensions of media convergence: technology, multimedia content, ownership, collaboration, and coordination. The findings show that the transformation of Harian Rakyat Bengkulu has taken place through the use of a news website, electronic newspaper, and social media as information distribution channels. Technological convergence is the most dominant aspect because digital devices have accelerated news production and distribution while expanding audience reach. Ownership convergence also plays an important role through management policies, technological investment, and corporate strategies designed to respond to the decline of print readership. Collaboration is reflected in the establishment of a digital team and cooperation with other media organizations within the same network. However, multimedia content development remains limited because digital news still relies mainly on text and photographs, while video, audio, infographics, and interactive content have not been used optimally. Coordination between print and digital editorial teams also needs to be strengthened. The study concludes that the transformation has progressed, but its sustainability requires greater content innovation, improved human resource competence, and more integrated editorial management.. terintegrasi.
