Abstract

The energy transition in Indonesia represents a complex policy challenge that intertwines political will, economic interests, and environmental imperatives. Public understanding and acceptance of this transition are largely influenced by how the media and communication actors construct narratives around sustainability, fossil fuel dependency, and renewable energy adoption. This study aims to analyze the role of media and communication strategies in shaping public policy narratives and influencing stakeholder perceptions regarding Indonesia’s energy transition. A qualitative content analysis was conducted on 150 media articles, government press releases, and public statements published between 2019 and 2024, complemented by in-depth interviews with journalists, policymakers, and energy experts. The findings reveal that the Indonesian media often frames the energy transition within political and economic contexts rather than environmental urgency, leading to fragmented public understanding. Communication strategies employed by the government emphasize national development and energy sovereignty but lack consistency in sustainability messaging. The study concludes that effective and transparent communication—supported by collaborative framing between media and policy institutions—is essential to foster inclusive public engagement and accelerate the nation’s shift toward clean energy

Abstract

The rapid growth of augmented reality (AR) technology has significantly transformed the retail landscape by providing innovative ways to enhance consumer experiences and influence purchasing decisions. As retail businesses increasingly incorporate AR applications, understanding their impact on consumer purchase intention and user experience is crucial. This study aims to analyze the role of AR-driven applications in retail and assess their influence on consumer behavior. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining a survey and semi-structured interviews to gather data from 300 retail consumers who have interacted with AR applications in both in-store and online settings. Quantitative data were analyzed using regression analysis to determine the relationship between AR features and purchase intention, while qualitative data were thematically analyzed to explore the user experience. The results indicate that AR applications with high interactivity and realism significantly increase consumer purchase intention and enhance user satisfaction. Moreover, user satisfaction was found to mediate the relationship between AR interactivity and purchase intention. This study highlights the transformative potential of AR in retail, providing actionable insights for retailers to optimize their AR offerings. The findings contribute to the growing body of knowledge on AR in retail and offer valuable guidance for integrating AR technology into retail strategies.

Abstract

The evolution of dynamic storytelling in game design has been significantly influenced by advances in procedural generation techniques, allowing for the creation of adaptive and player-driven narratives. While traditional narratives in games follow a linear path, procedural generation enables stories to evolve based on player choices, offering unique and personalized experiences. This research aims to explore the potential of procedural narrative generation in enhancing player engagement and learning outcomes in educational games. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of player engagement, knowledge retention, and problem-solving abilities with qualitative insights from participant interviews. A total of 240 participants were divided into three groups: those who interacted with games featuring fully procedural narratives, semi-procedural narratives, and traditional static narratives. The results show that players in the fully procedural narrative group demonstrated higher levels of engagement and cognitive performance, particularly in knowledge retention and problem-solving. These findings indicate that procedural narratives can significantly enhance player immersion and educational outcomes, providing a more interactive and personalized gaming experience. The study concludes that the integration of procedural generation in narrative design offers a promising avenue for improving educational game design, fostering deeper engagement and more effective learning.

Abstract

The rapid evolution of immersive technologies, such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), is reshaping the landscape of entrepreneurship, particularly within the context of social innovation. As digital technologies continue to disrupt traditional business models, entrepreneurs are leveraging these innovations to create socially impactful ventures that not only meet market demands but also address critical societal challenges. This study investigates how immersive technologies are integrated into entrepreneurial practices to foster social sustainability, with a particular focus on businesses aiming to create positive change within marginalized communities. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, including qualitative interviews with entrepreneurs and quantitative analysis of business outcomes. The findings demonstrate that entrepreneurs using VR and AR technologies report increased customer engagement, enhanced operational efficiency, and a measurable social impact, particularly in the fields of education, healthcare, and community development. The study concludes that integrating immersive technologies with human-centered values enables businesses to create sustainable models that balance economic success with social good. This research contributes to the growing field of social entrepreneurship by highlighting the potential of digital innovations to drive social change and offering practical insights into how entrepreneurs can use these technologies to address global challenges.
