Abstract

The rapid development of the digital economy has intensified consumer interactions with businesses through digital platforms. This condition highlights the urgency of implementing digital business ethics, including transparency in privacy policies, honesty in marketing communication, data protection, and fair algorithmic practices, as key factors in building consumer trust. This paper examines the relationship between digital business ethical practices and consumer trust levels through a review of empirical and conceptual literature (2021–2025). The synthesis indicates that clear ethical practices (transparency, data security, information accuracy, and AI accountability) enhance both emotional and cognitive consumer trust, which in turn strengthens repurchase intention and loyalty. Practical implications and future research directions are provided.

Abstract

The rapid growth of social commerce in Indonesia has opened wide opportu- nities for fashion business owners to leverage social commerce tools built into e-commerce platforms as a means of steering how consumers reach their buying choices. This study aims to examine how three core dimensions of social commerce interactivity, social presence, and informativeness affect fashion purchase decisions on the Shopee platform, using perceived value and emotional trust as mediating factors under the Stimulus Organism Response (SOR) framework. A further aim is to determine whether cognitive or affective processes play a greater role in shaping consumers’ decisions to buy fashion items online. Data were collected from Indonesian Shopee users who had previously bought fashion products from stores run by startup founders, and the data were then analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings supported all of the proposed relationships. Both informativeness (β = 0.553) and interactivity (β = 0.383) showed a positive impact on perceived value, whereas social presence (β = 0.677) had a substantial positive effect on emotional trust. In turn, perceived value (β = 0.506) and emotional trust (β = 0.202) each positively influenced purchase decisions. The proposed model accounted for 74.7% of the variance in perceived value and 45.6% of the variance in purchase decisions, indicating that the cognitive route via perceived value carried more weight than the affective route via emotional trust in driving online fashion purchases. Moreover, informativeness emerged as the most impactful social commerce factor in boosting both perceived value and purchase intention.

Abstract

The increasing competition among scientific journals requires effective digital branding strategies to enhance publication dissemination and journal visibility. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of digital branding in the ADIMAS Journal using the Electronic Word of Mouth (e-WOM) framework. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed through website observation, social media analysis, documentation, and evaluation based on five e-WOM indicators article sharing, user generated content, author testimonials, academic community, and research collaboration. The findings indicate that ADIMAS (ADI Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Jurnal) has established a strong digital presence through Open Journal Systems (OJS), website optimization, and metadata management. However, user engagement, social media interaction, and collaborative promotion remain limited, reducing the effectiveness of publication dissemination. The evaluation demonstrates that integrating e-WOM practices with digital branding can strengthen journal credibility, improve online visibility, and expand the dissemination of scientific publications. This study contributes by providing an integrated evaluation framework that combines digital branding and e-WOM to support sustainable journal development and broader academic communication.

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of mental health challenges among young adults has driven growing interest in affective computing technologies that foster emotional support and psychological well-being. This study aims to design and evaluate an emotionally adaptive chatbot that promotes positive mental well-being through empathetic and user-centered interactions. Grounded in affective and positive computing frameworks, this research examines the influence of Emotion-Adaptive Capability, Perceived Empathy of the Chatbot, and Usability & Interaction Quality on Positive Mental Well-Being. A quantitative approach was employed by distributing an online questionnaire to young adult respondents who had interacted with emotion-aware chatbot systems. The collected data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS to test the hypothesized relationships. The results are expected to demonstrate that chatbots with higher emotional adaptability, greater perceived empathy, and better usability significantly enhance users’ psychological well-being. This study contributes to the development of human-centered affective computing by providing empirical evidence on how emotionally intelligent chatbot design can positively influence mental health outcomes. The findings offer practical implications for designers and developers aiming to create AI systems that are not only functional but also emotionally supportive and aligned with humanistic technology values.
