Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in the national economy. MSMEs are a populist economic system that can help alleviate poverty, and their growth has the potential to expand the economic base and contribute significantly to improving the regional economy and national resilience. The large number of MSMEs can become government partners in resource management. The MSME development strategy focuses on the agricultural sector in Karawang Regency. The success or failure of government policies in advancing MSMEs in the agricultural sector in Karawang Regency depends heavily on leadership, work commitment, and service quality. No company can develop or operate well until MSME participants provide exceptional service quality, work commitment, and service leadership. Therefore, it is important to address service problems in the MSME sector, especially in the agricultural sector in Karawang Regency. The main objective of this study is to empirically investigate the impact of servant leadership and work dedication on service quality. Data were collected using an online survey distributed to 259 SMEs in the agricultural industry in Karawang Regency, Indonesia. Data were evaluated using SEM. Hypotheses were assessed directly and jointly using two-step Partial Least Squares (PLS) path modelling. Based on the research findings, servant leadership had a higher influence value of 30.5% in influencing service quality than work commitment, which had a value of 22.4%. Mediation testing using the Sobel test resulted in a t-statistic value of 2.33 1.96 and a one-sided p-value of 0.00 0.05. Abstract

The increasing adoption of AI in critical sectors such as healthcare, finance, transportation, and public services raises significant challenges related to transparency, accountability, and trust in automated decision-making processes, particularly since many AI models still operate as black boxes that are difficult to interpret and audit. This study investigates the potential of integrating blockchain technology to enable trustworthy and transparent AI decision-making and is conducted under the framework to systematically design, implement, and evaluate the proposed solution. The proposed framework records AI inference results and relevant metadata onto the blockchain through smart contracts to ensure data immutability and traceability. A prototype system is developed and evaluated using a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative analysis of transparency and auditability with quantitative measurements of system performance such as latency and overhead. The results demonstrate that blockchain integration significantly enhances auditability, data integrity, and user trust compared to conventional AI systems. However, several limitations are identified, including scalability issues, transaction costs, and increased latency caused by on-chain recording processes. Despite these challenges, the proposed approach shows strong potential to improve the accountability of AI systems in high-risk environments and contributes a practical framework along with empirical insights for organizations seeking to adopt transparent and reliable AI, while also opening opportunities for further development through architectural optimization and the adoption of layer-2 blockchain technologies.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has become a major driving force behind the transformation of higher education in Indonesia, particularly in developing students' strategic management competencies, where active engagement and critical thinking are essential. This study employed a quasi-experimental approach with a pretest–posttest design to evaluate the effectiveness of technology-enhanced learning that integrates a Learning Management System (LMS), strategic simulation, and gamification elements. The research instruments consisted of a strategic competency test based on business case studies, digital literacy and student engagement questionnaires, and classroom observation sheets. Quantitative data were analyzed using paired-sample t-tests and Pearson correlation analysis, while qualitative data were examined through student feedback. This study addresses a gap in the Indonesian higher education literature, which has predominantly focused on student motivation, satisfaction, or engagement without directly assessing measurable improvements in strategic management competencies. The findings reveal that the simultaneous integration of an LMS, digital simulations, and gamification significantly enhances students' abilities in business environment analysis, strategy formulation, decision-making, and performance evaluation, thereby providing a more practical and strategically oriented learning experience. The novelty of this study lies in proposing a systematic and integrated digital learning model that bridges theoretical concepts and practical application through interactive simulations and gamification. This research contributes academically by enriching the literature on digital higher education in Indonesia and offers practical implications for developing adaptive curricula and data-driven instructional designs that foster active student engagement in the digital era.
