Abstract

This study evaluates the extent to which Financial Technology (Fintech), particularly mobile banking from Bank Bengkulu, contributes to the ease of conducting digital transactions and the performance of “Sahabat Kita” MSMEs that produce Bengkulu's signature kalamangsi syrup. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through interviews, direct observation, and document collection. The findings of this study indicate that mobile banking makes an important contribution to simplifying the transaction process, promoting efficiency, and expanding the market reach for MSMEs, despite challenges related to digital literacy and information security. It can be concluded that Fintech successfully supports MSME performance through a payment system that is easy and accessible to many parties.

Abstract

Waste management issues in residential areas remain a challenge due to low public awareness in sorting and managing waste. This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge, awareness, and participation of the community, particularly children, regarding the importance of waste management and environmental structuring through the provision of information media. The program was implemented by students of Thematic Community Service Program (KKN-T) Group 19, University of Dehasen Bengkulu, in RT 32 RW 08, Sawah Lebar Baru Sub-district, Bengkulu City. The methods employed included a participatory approach through observation, interviews, documentation, waste management education, a waste recycling creativity competition, and the creation of waste education boards and directional signs. The results of the activity indicated an increase in participants' understanding of the differences between organic and inorganic waste, enhanced children's creativity in utilizing used goods through the 3R concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), and the availability of information media that supports environmental structuring. The program also received positive responses and support from the local community. Thus, this community service activity serves as an effective initial step in fostering an environmental care culture and promoting sustainable waste management within the community.
