Abstract

This study aimed to find the effect of mindfulness practices on the quality of junior high school students' learning. The problems that occur in students are that students pay less attention when the teacher explains the material, can understand the material if the lesson is following their interests, some teachers are also considered to use teaching methods that are not very suitable for students, and some teachers are considered too monotonous in teaching students are also often sleepy in class during learning.  This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population in this study was 70. This study was conducted in junior high schools with respondents from the 2023/2024 academic year. The study's results showed a significant favorable influence between mindfulness practices and the quality of student learning, with a t count of 13.706 and a significance value (p) of 0.000 <0.05. From the simple regression analysis calculation results, the R square value was obtained as 0.734, meaning that mindfulness practices affect the quality of learning by 73.4%, and the remaining 26.8% is influenced by other factors not discussed in this study.

Abstract

This study aimed to find the effect of gamification methods on the enthusiasm of Buddhist Sunday School students to learn. The problems that occur are challenges for Buddhist Sunday School teachers in class management such as human resources, facilities and infrastructure and implementation of learning, low enthusiasm for learning of Buddhist Sunday School students, limitations in using learning methods, some students were seen chatting during the worship service, many pre-kindergarten students played during the worship service, and some children arrived late to Buddhist Sunday School. This study used a quantitative research approach by providing questionnaires to respondents. The subjects of this study are 30 people, obtained by a total sampling technique, namely using the entire population as respondents. The study results showed a significant favorable influence between the gamification method and students' enthusiasm for learning. The study result states that the gamification method affects learning enthusiasm by 52.1%, and other factors influence the remaining value of 47.9%. This study has practical implications in education; gamification can be considered in the learning process, such as using points, levels, or challenges to motivate students and make learning more enjoyable.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of mindfulness practice on students' learning anxiety. Students often face problems such as a lack of understanding of the material presented during lessons and difficulty completing assignments. This study uses a quantitative approach, using a survey method. The population consists of 118 students, with a sample of 81 respondents selected through Proportional Random Sampling. The study was conducted on high school students in the 2024/2025 academic year. The study showed a significant favorable influence between mindfulness practices and learning anxiety, with a t-value of 7.303 and a significance level of 0.000 (<0.05). Simple regression analysis produced an R-squared value of 0.375, indicating that mindfulness practices explain 37.5% of the variation in learning anxiety, while other factors influence the remaining 62.5%.

Abstract

The variables of audio-visual learning media with cognitive learning outcomes were examined to determine the strength and magnitude of the influence. The problem among students was that using media made them understand the material better if there were pictures. It is more enjoyable to use media because of examples of the material. The approach used in this research is quantitative involving 34 respondents with a survey method. The study was conducted in junior high schools with student respondents. Before conducting a simple linear regression test, the initial stage is tested with a validity test and then a reliability test. This result shows that the significance value is less than 0.05 and the R square value is 0.499. This means that audio-visual-based learning media affects cognitive learning outcomes with a nominal amount of 49.9%, as well as other influencing factors by 50.1%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Mindfulness-Based Social Emotional Learning (MBSEL) on students' learning focus in private junior high schools. Problems often faced by students include putting their heads on the table when bored, scribbling as a sign of lack of attention, chatting while the teacher is teaching, and using cell phones to check notifications. In addition, less interactive teaching methods also play a role in decreasing learning focus. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study population included 140 students, with a sample of 104 students selected using proportional random sampling techniques. Respondents came from grades VII to IX students in the 2024/2025 academic year. The analysis showed a positive and significant effect between MBSEL and students' learning focus, with a tcount value of 8.034 and a significance value of p <0.05. Simple regression produced an R² value of 0.388, indicating that MBSEL contributed 38.8% to increasing students' learning focus, while 61.2% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study. This finding confirms the importance of implementing MBSEL to improve students' learning focus.
