Abstract

Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata or KUKERTA) is a community service initiative by students of the University of Riau. The program aims to apply the knowledge and technology gained during their studies to provide tangible benefits to the community. In 2024, KUKERTA was implemented in Kepenghuluan Karya Mukti, Rimba Melintang District, Rokan Hilir Regency, from July 14 to August 23, 2024. This program was designed to drive sustainable development through the improvement of education, economy, health, agriculture, and fisheries sectors. With a participatory approach, KUKERTA students involved the community in various activities such as workshops, socialization, and hands-on practices. The positive impacts were seen in the form of increased agricultural and fisheries productivity, improved literacy awareness, community health, and optimized utilization of local resources. This program not only brought significant changes to Kepenghuluan Karya Mukti but also strengthened the relationship between the university and the community in achieving shared goals for a better future.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of fuel temperature and fuel sludging time entering the purifier for the purification process and to find out what the fuel temperature settings are and the slugging time to get the maximum purifier clock. The methods used in the research are research experimental, which is descriptive quantitative in nature. The samples taken were HFO purifier working hours data on board MV. Pos Logistic 2 by using tables and graphs quantitative analysis of quantities total hours worked when operated . This research set the temperature and sludging time when operating. The results of the study show the maximum working hours of the HFO purifier on board the MV. Pos Logistic 2 are determined by the temperature setting of the heavy fuel oil entering the purifier and the sludging time setting. Setting temperature and time of HFO purifier sludging from the research results found achievement the maximum working hours for an HFO purifier are when setting a temperature of 90oC and fifty minute sludging time setting (50’). It is known that the results the achievement of working hours for 15 days of data collection reached 362 hours, the maximum working hours presentation amount was 91% of the total working hours standardized in the manual book of 400 hours. The results of this study are suggested to get the maximum working hours when operating a Heavy Fuel Oil Purifier using 380 Cst Heavy Fuel Oil fuel, the temperature setting to enter the furifier is 90oC, the sludging time is 50 minutes and the ship's officers (engine officers) must be able and pay attention to adjustments and settings in the digital control device of the purification system, when changing the use of the type of fuel used on board the ship so that the achievement of Heavy Fuel Oil Purifier working hours can be maximized according to the manual.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini berupa pembinaan guru pembimbing Olimpiade Sains Nasional (OSN) bidang Matematika di Sekolah Menengah se Kecamatan Siak. Pembinaan ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kompetensi guru dalam memahami materi OSN Matematika yang lebih mendalam dan kompleks, serta mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif dan efektif dalam membimbing siswa. Program pembinaan mencakup pretest, penyajian materi, diskusi, dan latihan soal-soal olimpiade yang mencakup bidang Aljabar, Geometri, Teori bilangan dan Kombinatorik. Selain itu, pembinaan ini juga menekankan pada penguasaan teknik problem solving dan pengajaran berorientasi pada pemikiran kritis serta analisis matematis yang tinggi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa Pembinaan Guru Pembimbing OSN bidang Matematika SMA/MA Kecamatan Siak dapat memberdayakan guru bidang studi Matematika di Kecamatan Siak dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal Olimpiade, memotivasi guru pendamping dan pemangku kebijakan untuk mengikutsertakan siswa dalam ajang OSN bidang Matematika, baik yang dilaksanakan oleh pemerintah maupun pihak lainnya. Melalui pembinaan yang berkelanjutan, guru pembimbing dapat lebih siap dalam mendukung siswa untuk bersaing secara kompetitif dan inovatif di bidang Matematika.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the jigsaw type cooperative learning model can improve learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 023901 Binjai on material changes in appearance on earth. This research is Kemmis and Tagart class action research (CAR). The place of research taken by the author is SD Negeri 023901 Which is located at JL. Talam North Binjai District, Binjai City. The subjects of this study were 20th grade students of SD Negeri 023901, consisting of 11 men, 9 women. This study uses the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model. Based on the results of the study which became the conclusion of this study that the application of the jigsaw cooperative learning model in science learning can improve students learning outcomes on the material changes in appearance on earth fourth grade students of SD Negeri 023901 Binjai. This is evidenced by the increase in learning outcomes of class IV students from the pre-cycle with an average of 58,03, in the first cycle with an average of 70,1, and the second cycle with an average 0f 84,96. The level of classical completeness in the pre cycle was 35%, in the first cycle the level of classical completeness increased to 70% , and in the second cycle it was much higher compared to the pre cycle and the first cycle, which was 85%.

Abstract

The evaluation of learning outcomes is an essential component of higher education because it reflects learning achievement and the effectiveness of the instructional process. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of students’ academic performance in the final semester examination of the Basic Statistics course based on class (A, B, C) and gender (male, female). The study employed an explanatory quantitative approach with a factorial design and was analyzed using a two-way analysis of variance (two-way ANOVA). Assumption testing indicated that the residuals were normally distributed (Shapiro–Wilk p = 0.0854) and that variances across groups were homogeneous (Levene p-value = 0.6468), confirming that the ANOVA prerequisites were satisfied. The ANOVA results showed that class had a statistically significant effect on final examination scores (F(2,104) = 2.956; p = 0.00562) and that gender also had a statistically significant effect (F(1,104) = 0.704; p = 0.0032), whereas the class × gender interaction was not statistically significant (F(2,104) = 1.355; p = 0.0626). Post hoc analysis using Tukey’s HSD revealed that differences across classes were primarily driven by the contrast between Class C and Class A (p-adj = 0.0443), while gender-based differences showed a consistent pattern across classes (p-adj = 0.0069). These findings were supported by boxplots and interaction plots that displayed score distributions consistent with the inferential results. Overall, the study indicates that variation in students’ academic performance in the final semester evaluation is independently influenced by class and gender. The findings are expected to inform more data-driven academic decision-making and contribute methodologically to the application of statistical analysis. Based on these results, the study program is advised to standardize instructional implementation and evaluation across classes and to provide more targeted learning support for groups of students who consistently demonstrate lower achievement, so that learning gaps can be reduced in a data-driven manner.Eksplorasi Dinamika Prestasi Akademik pada Evaluasi Akhir Semester Berdasarkan Kelas dan Gender Menggunakan Pendekatan ANOVA Dua ArahABSTRAKEvaluasi hasil belajar merupakan komponen penting dalam pendidikan tinggi karena mencerminkan capaian pembelajaran serta efektivitas proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dinamika prestasi akademik mahasiswa pada ujian akhir semester mata kuliah Statistika Dasar berdasarkan faktor kelas (A, B, C) dan gender (laki-laki, perempuan). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif eksplanatori dengan desain faktorial dan dianalisis melalui Analisis Varians Dua Arah (two-way ANOVA). Uji asumsi menunjukkan residual berdistribusi normal (Shapiro–Wilk ) dan varians antar-kelompok homogen (Levene p-value = 0.6468), sehingga prasyarat ANOVA terpenuhi. Hasil ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa faktor kelas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap skor ujian akhir semester  dan faktor gender juga berpengaruh signifikan , sedangkan interaksi kelas×gender tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan . Uji lanjut Tukey HSD mengungkapkan bahwa perbedaan capaian antar kelas terutama didorong oleh perbedaan Kelas C dan Kelas A (p-adj = 0.0443), sementara perbedaan berdasarkan gender menunjukkan kecenderungan yang konsisten di seluruh kelas  Temuan ini diperkuat oleh boxplot dan interaction plot yang menampilkan pola distribusi skor sejalan dengan hasil inferensial. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variasi prestasi akademik mahasiswa dalam evaluasi akhir semester dipengaruhi secara independen oleh faktor kelas dan gender. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar pengambilan keputusan akademik yang lebih berbasis data, serta memberikan kontribusi metodologis dalam penerapan analisis statistik.  Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, program studi disarankan melakukan standardisasi implementasi pembelajaran dan evaluasi antar kelas serta menyediakan dukungan belajar yang lebih terarah bagi kelompok mahasiswa yang konsisten menunjukkan capaian lebih rendah agar kesenjangan hasil belajar dapat ditekan secara berbasis data.Kata Kunci :Prestasi akademik mahasiswa; Statistika dasar; Evaluasi pembelajaran; ANOVA
