Abstract

Mekartani Farm is a comunity located at Jl. Mataram III RW 06, Kelurahan Mekar Jaya, Kecamatan Sukmajaya, Depok City, West Java Mekartani Farm is managed by Mr. Ferryzar. The implementation of PLTS aims to reduce the electricity costs that are still charged to local residents due to planting activities. The study analyzed solar irradiation data as well as data on total electricity loads and daily energy needs at the Mekartani Farm. The PLTS system designed at the Mekartani Farm is capable of generating 1347.7 kWh of energy in a year and has batteries with a capacity of 100 Ah, three of which are arranged in parallel to provide a backup for two days of autonomy. Using a 400 WP solar panel of two parallel-set units with an efficiency of 20.57%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan menganalisis rangka alat pengasapan ikan dengan memperhatikan material, distribusi beban, serta aspek ergonomis dan fungsional sesuai dengan kondisi lapangan. Metode eksperimen digunakan dengan merancang dan menguji alat dalam kondisi terkontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan desain alat pengasapan dengan dimensi 270 x 2750 mm, menggunakan bearing Pillow Block ASB UCF202, rangka berukuran 25 x 25 mm, dan motor penggerak DC 12 Volt 80 rpm. Uji Von Mises Stress maksimal sebesar 2,439 M.Pa dengan perubahan jarak 0,0542426 mm dan safety factor 15 ul, menunjukkan bahwa desain ini sangat aman dengan perubahan geometri minimal. Alat ini cocok untuk digunakan secara portabel di sentra Asap Indah, Desa Wonosari, Demak.

Abstract

Environmental pollution due to waste cooking oil is a problem that is currently being faced by residents of RW 04 Kampung Kebon Duren-Cilodong-Depok, West Java. Community service carried out by the lecturer team of the Energy Conversion Engineering Study Program of the Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ) was to introduce and to train in making laundry soap made from used cooking oil. It was also as an effort to empower Kampung Kebon Duren-Cilodong, Depok in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. The implementation of community service begins with the presentation of material about used cooking oil and the purpose of using used cooking oil, preparing tools and materials, procedures for making soap from used cooking oil, and packaging soap. This activity, in general, consists of 1) pre-activity, 2) activity planning, 3) pre-implementation of training activities, 4) counseling and mentoring, and 5) activity evaluation. This training program creates entrepreneurship opportunities and educates residents on how to process used cooking oil which is household waste to be converted into a product that is worth selling so that it is not simply thrown into the environment because it can pollute the environment.  Keywords, Used Cooking Oil, Soap, Environment, Training, Community Service   Pencemaran lingkungan akibat limbah minyak jelantah merupakan permasalahan yang saat ini sedang dihadapi oleh Warga RW 04 Kampung Kebon Duren-Cilodong-Depok.Pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh tim dosen program studi Teknik Konversi Energi PNJ adalah pelatihan pembuatan sabun cuci berbahan dasar minyak jelantah sebagai upaya pemberdayaan Kampung Kebon Duren-Cilodong, Depok. Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat diawali dengan pemaparan materi tentang bahaya minyak jelantah bagi kesehatan dan lingkungan serta tujuan pemanfaatan minyak jelantah, persiapan alat dan bahan, prosedur pembuatan sabun cuci dari minyak jelantah dan pengemasan sabun. Kegiatan ini, secara garis besar terdiri atas: 1) pra kegiatan, 2) perencanaan kegiatan, 3) pre-pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan, 4) penyuluhan dan pendampingan, serta 5) evaluasi kegiatan. Program pelatihan ini menciptakan peluang berwirausaha dan mengedukasi warga terkait cara untuk mengolah minyak jelantah yang merupakan limbah rumah tangga untuk diubah menjadi produk bernilai jual sehingga tidak dibuang begitu saja ke lingkungan karena dapat mencemari lingkungan.   Kata-kata kunci: Minyak Jelantah, Sabun Cuci, Lingkungan, Pelatihan, Pengabdian Masyarakat

Abstract

The provision of food, the provision of energy and the provision of information are controlled to improve people's welfare. In 2011, national electricity production by PLN was 11% new and renewable energy. 6% PLTA and 5% PLTP. PLN plans Geothermal Energy to be 13% and Hydro Power Plant still 6%. The availability of PhHPP independently has been developed by many communities. PhHPP with a water wheel drive capacity of around 100 watts, just enough for home lighting. Even though the area's hydro energy potential is quite abundant. The developments that have been carried out have several weaknesses; The PhHPP with a plump turbine type requires a high head, which becomes an obstacle for agricultural irrigation, while PhHPP with a water wheel type has low efficiency. Research was conducted to develop PhHPP with a more efficient low head crossflow turbine type. Development of PhHPP with cross flow turbine type with actual energy potential, head 2 m and flow velocity 1 m/s. Development begins with numerical simulations to optimize the runner width and diameter ratio. Simulation results of the RNG k-ε model for a total inlet pressure of 20114 pascals and an outlet of 0 pascals, the optimum point is at the crossflow turbine runner diameter and turbine width ratio of 0.56.
