Abstract

Abstract

In 2022, Indo Global Mandiri University (UIGM) will construct the Faculty of Medicine building. In the initial planning of the development project, the construction of a 6-storey building was carried out, but after the implementation process was carried out, 5 floors were proposed to add floors, where initially the building only had 6 floors, it was made into a 7-storey building. The purpose of this research is to determine the structural behavior of the UIGM Palembang medical faculty building due to the addition of floors, whether the building meets the safety requirements in accordance with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) reference for planning the latest earthquake resistance due to the addition of an earthquake, which in this study used software assistance ETABS and Response Spectrum analysis. Results of evaluation of structural behavior due to the addition of floors with a building height of 32.5 m in safe conditions as required by SNI 1726-2019 All deviations between floors are said to be okay, which means the UIGM Faculty of Medicine Building has met safety requirements according to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) reference . The P-Delta value for the 7-storey building in the x and y directions still meets the requirements of SNI 1726:2019, which is still below the P-Delta limit. The addition of a floor to the UIGM Faculty of Medicine Building is categorized as safe because the behavior of the building structure does not indicate an unsafe condition (Not OK)

Abstract

Clay soil subgrades have high pore water characteristics, which is a unique problem for civil structures such as buildings and road pavements. Lime contains compounds such as the element Calcium Oxide (CaO) of 79.43%. In reaction with clay minerals or other minerals, lime forms a strong calcium silicate gel that binds to soil particles. Different types of lime mixtures used are 0%, 12%, 15%, and 18% to soil weight with 28 days of soaking for four (4) days. From the two tests that have been carried out, namely soil compaction (Standard Proctor) and UCS (Unconfined Compression Streght) Soaked and Unsoaked, the optimum values obtained in soil compaction (Standard Proctor) and UCS (Unconfined Compression Streght) Soaked and Unsoaked are in the variation of soil addition + 18%. In the soil compaction test (Standard Proctor), the dry volume weight was 1.744 gr/cm3 and the optimum moisture content value was 16.03% and in UCS (Unconfined Compression Streght) Soaked the largest Qu value was 1.116 kg/cm2, and UCS (Unconfined Compression Streght) Unsoaked the largest Qu value was 2.714 kg/cm2.

Abstract

School building is the main component of supporting teaching and learning and becomes one of the determining factors for improving the  quality of an educational institusional. The availability of facilities and infrastrctureis in important elemen as a support of  the  success of the education and teaching process in the school environment, so that proper maintenance and maintenance are needed in the use of the building, The research employed survey and interview methods. Based on the findings, five buildings were classified as lightly damaged: Building A of SDN 187, Building C of SDN 190, Building D of SDN 190, and two other Building Bs (school names not specified). One building, Building A of SDN 183, was found to be moderately damaged. Three buildings were classified as severely damaged: Building B of SDN 183, Building B of SDN 187, and a building at SDN 193. Of the total nine buildings assessed, the damage distribution was as follows: 56% lightly damaged, 11% moderately damaged, and 33% severely damaged. The total estimated repair cost for the five public elementary schools in Kalidoni District, Palembang City is Rp1,258,764,563.04 (one billion, two hundred fifty-eight million, seven hundred sixty-four thousand, five hundred sixty-three rupiah).
