Abstract

Pendahuluan: Dismenorea dapat dialami oleh setiap wanita yang sedang dalam masa menstruasi. Remaja adalah kelompok usia yang rentan terhadap dismenorea. Menurut data analisis dari The National Health Examination Survey terdapat 20-90% prevalensi wanita yang mengeluh terjadinya dismenorea, 15% diantaranya sudah sampai mengakibatkan dismenorea berat dan terjadi pada wanita usia 12-17 tahun. Ada beberapa manajemen nyeri untuk mengatasi dismenorea, salah satunya adalah dengan mengkonsumsi rebusan jahe. Metode: Literatur mancanegara ditelusuri melalui sarana media elektronik dengan penuntun kata kunci. Artikel terseleksi sejumlah 4, yang masing-masing mewakili satu pengaruh jahe terhadap penurunan nyeri disminorea dan memberi informasi yang bervariatif. Hasil : Adanya perbedaan tingkat nyeri menstruasi pada responden dengan pemberian perlakuan yang sama, dapat disebabkan oleh perbedaan persepsi responden terhadap nyeri dan upaya penghilang nyeri. Pembahasan : Salah satu cara nonfarmakologi yang dapat diberikan untuk penanganan nyeri yaitu dengan pemberian jahe untuk dikonsumsi. Beberapa komponen kimia jahe  seperti gingerol, shogaol dan zingerone memberi efek farmakologi dan fisiologi seperti antioksidan, anti inflamasi, analgesik, antikarsinogenik, non-toksik dan non-mutagenik meskipun pada konsentrasi tinggi. Kesimpulan : Simpulan berdasarkan analisa yang telah dilakukan adalah penggunaan jahe efektif untuk mengurangi nyeri disminorea

Abstract

Anemia terjadi ketika konsentrasi hemoglobin berada di bawah 11 g/dL selama kehamilan, dan jika konsentrasi hemoglobin berada di bawah 7 g/dL, maka disebut sebagai anemia berat. Anemia pada kehamilan memiliki potensi fatalitas jika tidak diatasi segera. Dampaknya meliputi risiko keguguran, persalinan prematur, persalinan yang memakan waktu lama, atonia uteri, perdarahan, risiko syok dan bahkan kematian. Pencegahan anemia selama kehamilan dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan edukasi mengenai kondisi ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh penyuluhan pada ibu hamil terhadap pencegahan anemia selama kehamilan. Metode yang digunakan adalah tinjauan pustaka dengan mengakses sumber melalui Google Scholar dan PubMed. Dari 10 artikel yang digunakan (8 jurnal nasional dan 2 jurnal internasional), semua diterbitkan dalam 5 tahun terakhir dan membahas pengaruh media edukasi terhadap pengetahuan ibu hamil mengenai anemia. Hasil analisis beberapa penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media edukasi pada ibu hamil berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai anemia. Para profesional kesehatan disarankan untuk memanfaatkan pendidikan melalui media edukasi sebagai bagian dari upaya pencegahan anemia selama kehamilan.

Abstract

HIGHLIGHTS Pregnant women are prone to suffer from anemia. Jackfruit seeds milk can be consumed as a non-pharmacological treatment to prevent and overcome anemia in pregnant women.   ABSTRACT Objective: This study aimed to investigate the impact of administering jackfruit seeds milk on hemoglobin levels in third trimester pregnant women at Bangetayu Health Center in Semarang, Indonesia. Materials and Methods: This study utilized a quasi-experimental approach with pre- and post-test control groups. The study included a sample of 35 out of 107 third trimester pregnant women from the Bangetayu Health Center in Semarang, Indonesia. The study was conducted between January and February 2022. The research sample comprised 35 respondents, divided into 17 control groups and 18 intervention groups. Purposive sampling was utilized as the sample technique. Data analysis involved both univariate and bivariate analysis techniques. The analysis involved utilizing chi-square test and independent t-test. This study utilized the SPSS software version 23 for data analysis. Results: The intervention group had an average hemoglobin level of 10.2 g/dL before treatment and 10.7 g/dL after therapy. The average hemoglobin level in the control group increased from 12.1 g/dL before to 12.4 g/dL after. The results indicated a p-value of 0.000 and a Relative Risk (RR) of 1.2. Conclusion: The consumption of jackfruit seed milk had an effect on the hemoglobin levels of third-trimester pregnant women at the health center in Bangetayu, Semarang, Indonesia. Failure to consume jackfruit seed milk results in 1.2 times decrease in the likelihood of boosting hemoglobin levels.

Abstract

Background: Preeclampsia is a pregnancy-specific syndrome characterized by the onset of hypertension that occurs after 20 weeks of gestation, often accompanied by proteinuria and/or various organ failures including thrombocytopenia, hepatocellular necrosis, renal insufficiency, brain disorders, or pulmonary edema. One of the prevention efforts that can be done through health education activities. Health education is a collection of experiences that have a good influence on the habits, attitudes, and knowledge about the health of a person, community, and country. Health education can be done with several media to provide knowledge to pregnant women. Objective: to analyze more deeply the effectiveness of health education through media to increase the knowledge of pregnant women towards preeclampsia prevention efforts that are in accordance with previous studies by reviewing several studies. Methods: This review uses several national and international sources that have been published from databases (PubMed and Google Scholar) taken within the last 10 years from 2019-2023. The articles obtained in the search amounted to 10 journals with 6 national journals and 4 international journals. Results: the literature review shows that the provision of health education through the media is very influential in increasing the knowledge of pregnant women towards preeclampsia prevention efforts. These results are expected to provide interventions in the scope of midwifery and increase knowledge, especially for midwives and pregnant women to be able to make early prevention efforts in dealing with preeclampsia.

Abstract

Mothers who accept their pregnancy positively can prepare themselves and carry out their role well. Achieving her role as a mother through psychological changes during pregnancy is a woman's task that must be achieved because failure can have a negative impact. The number of pregnant women at the Bangetayu Community Health Center is 30 people. Nearly 60% of pregnant women have poor parenting self-efficacy. Parenting self-efficacy is very necessary during pregnancy and the postpartum period. The solution to this problem aims to increase parenting self-efficacy and optimize the motivation of pregnant women to increase knowledge with a discussion approach among pregnant women through telling story group discussions. The implementation of activities involving the application of science and technology was carried out twice, namely on October 8, 2023, and November 5, 2023, targeting pregnant women at the Bangetayu Community Health Center, Semarang City. Science and technology transfer begins with a pre-test and ends with a post-test. Education is delivered using an easy-to-understand method: providing material and forming groups to tell stories. Parenting self-efficacy of pregnant women from the pre-test and post-test results increased by 8.85%. The most important thing about this activity is that mothers will teach other pregnant women.

Abstract

Background: Pregnant women often face psychological challenges, such as anxiety and stress, which can negatively impact maternal health and fetal development. One alternative approach to managing anxiety and stress is art therapy, which enables pregnant women to express emotions creatively to enhance psychological well-being. Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of art therapy in managing anxiety and stress in pregnant women. Method: A literature review was conducted by accessing sources from Google Scholar, PubMed, and ScienceDirect. A total of 10 selected articles, consisting of 6 international journals and 4 national journals published within the last 10 years, were analyzed. The included studies focused on the implementation of art therapy to reduce anxiety and stress in pregnant women. Results: The analysis of several studies revealed that art therapy has a significant effect on reducing anxiety and stress levels among pregnant women. This therapy provides positive psychological and emotional benefits by creating opportunities for relaxation and self-expression. Conclusion: Art therapy is effective in reducing anxiety and stress among pregnant women. This knowledge can be utilized by healthcare professionals as a non-pharmacological intervention to improve the mental health of pregnant women during pregnancy.   Keywords: Anxiety; Art Therapy; Pregnancy; Stress.   Pendahuluan: Ibu hamil sering menghadapi tantangan psikologis, seperti kecemasan dan stres, yang dapat berdampak negatif pada kesehatan ibu serta perkembangan janin. Salah satu pendekatan alternatif untuk mengatasi kecemasan dan stres adalah melalui art therapy, yang memungkinkan ibu mengekspresikan emosi secara kreatif guna meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis. Tujuan: Untuk mengevaluasi penatalaksanaan art therapy terhadap kecemasan dan stres ibu hamil. Metode: Kajian literatur dilakukan dengan mengakses sumber dari Google Scholar, PubMed, dan ScienceDirect. Sebanyak 10 artikel terpilih, terdiri dari 6 jurnal internasional dan 4 jurnal nasional yang diterbitkan dalam 10 tahun terakhir, digunakan sebagai dasar analisis. Penelitian yang disertakan mencakup penatalaksanaan art therapy untuk mengurangi kecemasan dan stres pada ibu hamil. Hasil: Analisis dari beberapa penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa art therapy secara signifikan berpengaruh dalam menurunkan tingkat kecemasan dan stres pada ibu hamil. Terapi ini memberikan manfaat positif, baik secara psikologis maupun emosional dengan menciptakan ruang untuk relaksasi dan ekspresi diri. Simpulan: Art therapy efektif dalam menurunkan kecemasan dan stres pada ibu hamil. Pengetahuan ini dapat dimanfaatkan oleh tenaga kesehatan sebagai bagian dari intervensi non-farmakologi untuk meningkatkan kesehatan mental ibu selama kehamilan.   Kata Kunci: Art Therapy; Ibu Hamil; Kecemasan; Stres.

Abstract

Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) in pregnant women is a condition experienced by pregnant women due to an imbalance in energy and protein nutritional intake, so that the substances needed by the body are not met. LiLA which is below 23.5 cm indicates that the pregnant woman has CED. This literature review aims to examine the management of CED in pregnancy by reviewing several research articles. This literature review method involves searching for articles using several databases via Google Scholar and Pubmed. Interventions that can be carried out include meeting nutritional needs and energy intake by providing additional foods high in calories and high in protein based on local ingredients.

Abstract

Pregnancy is a physiological process in a woman. A pregnant woman willexperience changes in her body system during pregnancy. Pregnant women will besusceptible to anemia due to several things such as hemodilution and lack of ironintake. Anemia is included in a global problem which in Indonesia itself has arelatively high incidence rate, namely 48.9% in 2018, so an effective strategy isneeded to overcome this problem. The aim of this research is to determine the non-pharmacological management of anemia in pregnancy. The method used was aliterature review of 10 research articles contained in computerized databases(Google Scholar and Wiley) in the last 5 years using the keywords anemia, anemiamanagement, non-pharmacology and pregnancy. As a result, non-pharmacologicaltreatment of pregnancy with anemia can be done by consuming tomato herbal tea,chayote, mung bean juice, vegetable juice combined with various other ingredientssuch as spinach-lime-honey juice, dates, tempeh, and jackfruit seed milk, becausethe high vitamin C and iron contained in it make it a good source of nutrients toincrease hemoglobin production and maintain body health. The conclusion is,vitamin C and iron are an ideal combination of compounds to overcome anemia inpregnant women, because iron helps the production of hemoglobin and vitamin Cincrease iron absorption, thereby helping to overcome and prevent anemia andimprove the health of the mother and fetus

Abstract

Traditional Indonesian massage is a form of physical therapy and part of cultural identity and ancestral heritage that is maintained and passed on from generation to generation. The phenomenon of traditional Indonesian massage is an important part of the culture and healing tradition, which includes various massage techniques passed down from ancestors and has roots in beliefs, traditional healing practices, and the local heritage of the Indonesian people. Fever in babies can cause anxiety in the mother. A safe solution that minimizes drug side effects is non-pharmacological therapy. This research aimed to determine the impact of traditional massage on reducing fever in babies. This type of research is quantitative research. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique with a total of 60 babies who had fever criteria. Data analysis used the t-test. The study's results showed that the average temperature measurement for babies before the traditional massage was 38.15 degrees Celsius (low fever), while the average temperature measurement for babies after the traditional massage was 36.78 degrees Celsius (normal). The results of the statistical hypothesis analysis show that traditional massage has a significant effect on reducing fever in babies. This means traditional massage can significantly reduce fever in babies, with an average reduction of 1.37 degrees Celsius. This research contributes to providing information to mothers and midwives about the benefits of baby massage for treating fever, baby growth and development.
