Abstract

Planning an off-site wastewater treatment system is one of the meaningful aspects in supporting the infrastructure of an area or region. This study aims to determine the population for the next 10 years, domestic water demand, non-domestic water demand, clean water demand and black water wastewater discharge and gray water wastewater discharge and planning wastewater treatment plants (WWTP). This research collects data in the form of primary data, secondary data and planning of wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) for the next 10 years. The calculation of the population for the next 10 years, namely in 2032, is 745 people and domestic water demand (Qd) = 0.518 liters / second and non-domestic water demand (Qn) = 0.026 liters / second and clean water demand = 0.625 liters / second and black water waste discharge (Q_BW) = 0.100 liters / second and gray water waste discharge (Q_GW) = 0.500 liters / second.

Abstract

Cassava must go through several manufacturing processes before it becomes chips on the market, including the process of stirring the dough. The stirring process is an important stage in various food industries. In the stirring process, the viscosity change in the dough is influenced by various factors, including the stirring process time and speed in stirring. Research on dough viscosity is important because it is directly related to the quality of the final product. The purpose of this study is to provide recommendations to users, both in the context of using horizontal mixers and the process of making similar products. The type of research used is quantitative research based on experimental methods that aim to test a hypothesis by collecting data that can be measured using statistics, mathematics, and computing. The independent variables in this study are rotation speed (20, 40, and 80 rpm) and stirring time (5 minutes, 10 minutes, and 15 minutes). From these independent variables calculations and data analysis, the optimal setting was obtained using a rotation speed of 80 rpm and a stirring time of 15 minutes with a dough viscosity of 1411.12 PaS. The rotation speed of 80 rpm has more even data or more consistent data compared to the rotation speed values of 20 rpm and 40 rpm.

Abstract

Merjosari Village, Lowokwaru District, Malang City, some residents in RW 06 run a home industry producing lontong, contributing to economic growth and employment. However, this industry's growth impacts the environment, especially the accumulation of banana leaf waste from lontong wrappers. This waste is often dumped on the riverbank, resulting in a decline in environmental quality and pollution, while waste management officers cannot handle the increasing volume of waste. The remaining leaves are generally thrown away, potentially creating environmental problems if not appropriately managed, including the risk of flooding. Although often considered waste, banana leaves have the potential to be useful compost material. Proper processing of banana leaves can be an effective organic fertilizer, reduce waste volume, and utilize resources sustainably. However, the high cellulose in banana leaves can slow decomposition if not appropriately handled. Another obstacle is the lack of knowledge and access to efficient technology for processing banana leaves into compost. Environmental factors such as humidity and temperature also affect the quality of compost. Therefore, making banana leaf compost with rice husk biochar can be an effective solution that benefits the community and the environment. Training in making banana leaf compost with the addition of rice husk biochar effectively increases community capacity, reduces organic waste, and opens up new economic opportunities through environmentally friendly waste management.ABSTRAKDesa Mejosari di Kelurahan Merjosari, Kecamatan Lowokwaru, Kota Malang, sebagian warganya di wilayah RW 06 menjalankan industri rumah tangga yang memproduksi lontong, yang berkontribusi pada peningkatan ekonomi dan lapangan kerja. Namun, pertumbuhan industri tersebut berdampak pada lingkungan, khususnya penumpukan limbah daun pisang dari pembungkus lontong. Limbah ini sering dibuang di tepi sungai, yang mengakibatkan penurunan kualitas lingkungan dan pencemaran, termasuk risiko bencana seperti banjir. Meski sering dianggap limbah, daun pisang memiliki potensi sebagai bahan kompos yang berguna. Pengolahan yang tepat, daun pisang dapat menjadi pupuk organik yang efektif, mengurangi volume limbah, dan memanfaatkan sumber daya secara berkelanjutan. Namun, tinggi selulosa dalam daun pisang dapat memperlambat proses dekomposisi jika tidak ditangani dengan baik. Kendala lain adalah kurangnya pengetahuan dan akses terhadap teknologi yang efisien untuk pengolahan daun pisang menjadi kompos. Oleh karena itu, penerapan metode pembuatan kompos daun pisang dengan biochar sekam padi bisa menjadi solusi yang efektif, memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat dan lingkungan. Pelatihan pembuatan kompos daun pisang dengan tambahan biochar sekam padi, efektif dalam menekan limbah organik, sekaligus membuka peluang ekonomi baru melalui pengelolaan sampah yang ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Desa Banyukapah Kecamatan Kedungdung Kabupaten Sampang terdapat Daerah Irigasi Sumber Nyukapah yang luas operasionalnya 15 hektar, yang merupakan jaringan irigasi permukaan. Kebutuhan air irigasi pada musim kemarau di Daearah Irigasi Sumber Nyukapah masih kurang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui potensi air tanah dalam mencukupi kebutuhan air irigasi dan mengetahui potensi perubahan status daerah irigasi permukaan menjadi air tanah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengukur debit air di pompa dan menghitung kapasitas tampungan mata air serta menganalisis potensi aliran dasar melalui pengalihragaman hujan menjadi debit. Dari hasil penelitian di dapatkan debit air yang tersedia di tampungan mata air yaitu 0,009 m³/det dan untuk sumur pompa sebesar 0,017 m³/det dan kondisi air permukaan rata-rata 0,011 m³/det. Kebutuhan air irigasi di D.I Sumber Nyukapah berdasarkan pola tata tanam eksisting yaitu sebesar 0,002 – 0,032 m³/det. Indeks pertanaman untuk 15 hektar pada pola tanam padi-padi-padi mencapai 300%. Keseimbangan air antara ketersediaan dan kebutuhan air irigasi belum mencukupi atau masih adanya defisit air yaitu pada pemakaian air dengan sumur pompa dan tampungan air tanah terutama pada bulan juli agustus September pada masa tanan II dan pada bulan tersebut adalah musim kemarau. Berdasarkan hal itu maka Daerah Irigasi Sumber Nyukapah masih belum bisa dialihkan menjadi jaringan irigasi air tanah karena potensi air tanah nya belum mencukupi kebutuhan air irigasi. Kata kunci: Air Tanah, Kebutuhan Air, Pola Tanam, Jaringan Irigasi, Keseimbangan Air.
