Abstract

One of data grouping process method is k-harmonic clustering method (KHM) which has a relatively short and simple process. However, it has a weakness at cluster center point. Randomly formed cluster center point causes difficulty to converge solutions. One way to solve the problem at the cluster center point requires a method which has a global solution for KHM. The method is Improved artificial bee colony (IABC), improvement of artificial bee colony (ABC) method based on behavior patterns of honey bee colony in food searching process. Advantage of the IABC method is able to have more optimum global solution. This research proposes a new method of clustering using improved artificial bee colony and K-Harmonic means (IABC-KHM) to optimize the center point in clusters that lead to global solution. In this study, the IABC is functioned for finding the most optimum cluster center point for the data clustering process using KHM. Furthermore, the performance test of the IABC-KHM clustering method is compared with ABC and ABC-KHM methods on three different datasets. The result of mean value of best function of IABC-KHM method of Iris dataset is 152,87, Contraceptive Method Choice dataset is 918,54, and Wine dataset is 31,01. Moreover, the result of the average value of the best F-Measure method IABC-KHM Iris dataset is 0.90, the Contraceptive Method Choice dataset is 0.41, the Wine dataset is 0.95. To conclude, IABC-KHM method has successfully optimized the position of cluster center point that directs the cluster result which has global solution.

Abstract

The school information system, especially the Industrial Work Practices activity attendance system at SMKN 1 Jetis, is still done manually, that is, it still uses books and you have to fill in an activity journal every day in that book. After the internship ends, students are asked to collect the books, which the teacher will use to collect data on whether the student skipped class, permission and so on. Meanwhile, teachers do not have other data that can be used for data collection if the book is damaged or lost. This problem occurs because there is no system or application that is able to provide convenience for the process of collecting data and checking accurately. This information system created uses web or mobile technology which is tailored to the needs of system users and can make it easier for teachers to carry out the process of checking student attendance at internship activities through this attendance application, and we also provide a comparison of this application with other applications in order to determine the quality application quality and to determine the development of application features aimed at making it easier for users to use the application.

Abstract

Abstract

Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is one of the key indicators to determine the economic condition of a region in a certain period. GRDP at constant prices has a positive and significant effect on economic growth . This study aims to predict economic growth in East Java before and during the Covid-19 pandemic based on the structural components of regional revenue and expenditure budget realization using panel data regression with data sources from the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance. The results of this study, the best model is the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) with R-Squared 0.99991 and Adj. R-Squared 0.99987. MSE, MAD and MAPE values on the training data are 338724.9919, 259.7182 and 0.6296 respectively. While the MSE, MAD and MAPE values in the testing data are 1716324.2736, 445.7959 and 1.0692 respectively. At the 95% confidence level, Locally Generated Revenue (LGR), Transfers to Regional and Village Funds (TRVF), and Other Revenue (OR) are not significant in the model or have little effect. But at the 99.9% confidence level, all factors (cross section) have a very significant effect. This can be interpreted that local wisdom, or the characteristics of each region/city has a major contribution to economic growth.

Abstract

Strategic decision  making in institutional settings is often constrained by the fragmentation and heterogeneity of data across multiple sources. This study addresses this critical gap by developing and validating an interactive web-based dashboard designed to consolidate and transform heterogeneous institutional data from seven distinct sources into actionable insights. A complex feature engineering pipeline was necessitated, involving comprehensive data integration and structural consistency checks. Techniques like Text Normalization and Feature Mapping were applied to clean over a lot of inconsistent entries, alongside Feature Binning and Extraction to generate analytically robust metrics. The system was implemented using Python for data processing and ReactJS for the dynamic interface, and its viability was validated via structured User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The subsequent descriptive analysis provided key insights into student demographics, geographical reach, and enrollment compliance across academic levels. Crucially, the comprehensive UAT resulted in an outstanding overall acceptance score of very worthy. However, feedback analysis indicated a dominant user focus on visual aspects, with noted complaints regarding the suboptimal color scheme and contrast impacting user experience. The findings confirm that complex feature engineering is a viable and effective strategy for transforming fragmented institutional data into an immediately deployable strategic resource. This system offers a validated blueprint for data consolidation in higher education. Future work is accordingly  directed toward revising the color palette and contrast ratios to enhance visual clarity and user experience, alongside continuous optimization of data completeness to maintain the dashboard’s utility

Abstract

This community service study describes the optimization of a public information service chatbot in Gebang Putih Urban Village, Surabaya. The previous Telegram-based chatbot relied on command-based interaction, requiring citizens to type specific keywords and read long messages, which likely increased interaction cost. The study aims to transform the chatbot into button-based interaction and redesign its information architecture so that services are organized hierarchically and presented in shorter steps. A descriptive qualitative research and development (R&D) approach is applied at the development and internal validation stage. Service content is aligned with the official SSWALFA portal and the Surabaya Dukcapil website, and implemented using the low-code platform ManyChat. The resulting chatbot features more structured interaction flows, with clearer service categories, requirements, and procedures. These design improvements are expected to reduce interaction cost and enhance the potential usability of the chatbot.

Abstract

The weather has a significant impact on human activities. Weather data are used in various industries. Recently, Augmented Reality (AR) technology has been widely used to enhance content representation through multidimensional visualization. Television stations utilize AR to capture viewers' attention in the programs they broadcast; AR has the potential to enhance communication between viewers and the content. Our research on developing an AR application for an engaging immersive reality implementation aims to simulate a virtual stage in TV broadcasts, displaying real-time weather data from the Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) using the latest SQL database. The implementation of the AR system as a multimedia mode in delivering weather information increases the attractiveness and engagement of viewers. This system operates by translating weather data from SQL into key parameters for pre-built 3D visualizations, which appear at marked coordinates. This application runs on the Windows platform and can be managed via Android, allowing presenters to convey engaging scenarios. Research on East Java BMKG data showed that the design function to transform BMKG data into a virtual weather animation data was significantly successful in both synchronizations.
