Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation and impact of a training program on pesantren manuscript editing for mahasantri (university students from Islamic boarding schools) in Lampung Province through the Khastara digital portal of the National Library of Indonesia. This community service program employed a service-learning approach involving four stages: investigation, preparation, action, and reflection. Participants included 16 mahasantri from 10 pesantren in Lampung Province. Training was conducted through an intensive workshop at the Computer Laboratory of Universitas Ma'arif Lampung, utilizing the digital manuscript Kitab Safinatun Najah accessed via the Khastara portal. Results: reveal significant improvements in participants' philological and digital literacy competencies: 100% of participants successfully accessed and inventoried digital manuscripts through Khastara, 90% mastered standard Arabic-Latin transliteration, and the majority demonstrated proficiency in manuscript description, translation, and basic textual criticism. The program also established productive collaboration between universities, pesantren, and national institutions for preserving Indonesia's Islamic intellectual heritage. The service-learning-based manuscript editing training effectively enhances mahasantri's philological competencies while fostering academic responsibility and cultural preservation awareness. This integrated model offers a sustainable framework for digital philology education that can be adapted by other Islamic higher education institutions.

Abstract

Religious extracurricular activities in Islamic boarding schools play an important role as a means of strengthening Islamic Religious Education (PAI), not only in the cognitive aspect but also in the affective and psychomotor domains. However, their implementation still faces several challenges, such as limited supervisors, lack of method variation, and suboptimal evaluation systems. This study aims to describe the implementation of religious extracurricular activities and to analyze their level of effectiveness in improving Islamic Religious Education in pesantren. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, and data are collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the implementation of religious extracurricular activities has been carried out through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages, although it has not been fully optimal. These activities contribute significantly to improving the success of Islamic Religious Education, especially in the affective and psychomotor aspects, such as increased discipline in worship, religious attitudes, and practical religious skills of students. However, more systematic management and measurable evaluation are still needed to achieve optimal outcomes

Abstract

This research is motivated by the limitations of media innovation in Aswaja learning, which is still dominated by conventional methods, resulting in low student engagement and understanding of abstract material. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Canva-based animated video learning media in Aswaja learning for grade VII at SMP Plus Darul A'mal, Metro City, and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions with triangulation validity tests. The results show that the integration of Canva-based animated videos in the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages of learning can increase students' motivation, active participation, and conceptual understanding in a more contextual manner. The novelty of this research lies in strengthening the integration of creative digital media in Islamic Religious Education learning as a pedagogical strategy that is adaptive to the characteristics of the digital generation. This study concludes that the use of Canva-based animated video media is effective in supporting more interactive and meaningful Aswaja learning. The implications emphasize the importance of improving digital literacy and teacher pedagogical competence in the development of innovative media.
