Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation and impact of a training program on pesantren manuscript editing for mahasantri (university students from Islamic boarding schools) in Lampung Province through the Khastara digital portal of the National Library of Indonesia. This community service program employed a service-learning approach involving four stages: investigation, preparation, action, and reflection. Participants included 16 mahasantri from 10 pesantren in Lampung Province. Training was conducted through an intensive workshop at the Computer Laboratory of Universitas Ma'arif Lampung, utilizing the digital manuscript Kitab Safinatun Najah accessed via the Khastara portal. Results: reveal significant improvements in participants' philological and digital literacy competencies: 100% of participants successfully accessed and inventoried digital manuscripts through Khastara, 90% mastered standard Arabic-Latin transliteration, and the majority demonstrated proficiency in manuscript description, translation, and basic textual criticism. The program also established productive collaboration between universities, pesantren, and national institutions for preserving Indonesia's Islamic intellectual heritage. The service-learning-based manuscript editing training effectively enhances mahasantri's philological competencies while fostering academic responsibility and cultural preservation awareness. This integrated model offers a sustainable framework for digital philology education that can be adapted by other Islamic higher education institutions.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of the role of parents as primary educators in children's religious education, particularly in Dusun II, Kagungan Ratu Village, Tulang Bawang Udik District, West Tulang Bawang Regency. Lifestyle changes, the influence of technology, and time constraints pose challenges that can reduce the intensity and quality of religious education at home. This study aims to describe the role of parents in children's religious education, identify the obstacles faced, and discover effective approaches that can be applied. The research employs a qualitative method with descriptive field research. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Purposive sampling was used to select four families who met the criteria. Data analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification, using technique and source triangulation. The results show that the role of parents includes providing role models, teaching religious values, habituating worship practices, and creating a religious environment at home. Obstacles faced include time constraints due to work, low consistency in role modeling, and the negative influence of technology and the environment. Despite this, parents strive to overcome these challenges through strategies such as positive habituation, strict supervision, and involving children in religious activities. This study recommends increasing awareness and providing support for parents so they can carry out their roles optimally in shaping children's religiosity.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on microsites using Canva AI Code Generator in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SMK Ma'arif 1 Metro. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) combined with an effectiveness test through a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research subjects involved 25 grade X students. The research instruments included material expert validation sheets, media expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. Data were analyzed using the percentage of feasibility, paired t-test, and Normalized Gain (N-Gain). The results showed that the developed microsite media obtained a very valid category based on validation from material experts (95.71%) and media experts (83.68%). The practicality of the media was categorized as very practical based on student responses (83.02%) and teacher responses (86.67%). The effectiveness test showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes, with an average pretest score of 61.60 to 91.80 in the posttest (t = -8.557; p < 0.05). The N-Gain value of 0.76 is in the high category. These findings indicate that the Canva AI Code Generator-based microsite is valid, practical, and effective as a learning medium for Islamic Religious Education in vocational schools.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of low learning motivation among Generation Z students who tend to be bored with traditional memorization methods in learning Akidah Akhlak. Based on this, this study aims to explore in depth the learning experiences of students at MTs Darul Ulum in using the Drill and Practice method with a Gamification approach. This type of research is field research with a qualitative-phenomenological approach. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model. The results show that the use of gamification elements such as points, leaderboards, and instant challenges effectively changed students' perceptions from the burden of memorization to a fun, competitive challenge. The main supporting factors in this implementation are the availability of supporting infrastructure, teacher readiness in managing interactive media, and high student internal motivation to gain recognition of competence. However, the study also identified an inhibiting factor in the form of time pressure that triggers anxiety in a small number of students with slow learning speeds, thus risking lowering their self-confidence. Phenomenologically, this experience is interpreted as an interactive process that increases self-efficacy, but still requires the role of the teacher as a mentor to maintain a balance between extrinsic motivation and instilling the value of sincerity so that the essence of religious learning is maintained.

Abstract

This research is motivated by low student learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) lessons, caused by the use of conventional learning methods and the lack of use of interactive learning media. This condition results in low student activity, attention, and participation in the learning process. This study aims to determine the application of the Duck Race interactive learning media on the Online Stopwatch website, analyze changes in student learning motivation, and identify supporting factors and obstacles in its use. This study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, implemented in two cycles: Cycle I and Cycle II, with seventh-grade students of SMP Islam Plus Hidayatut Thullab, Central Lampung as the subjects. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis employed an interactive analysis model that encompasses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the application of the Duck Race interactive learning media increased student learning motivation from Cycle I to Cycle II. In Cycle I, student learning motivation began to increase but was not evenly distributed. However, in Cycle II, significant improvements were seen, indicated by increased student activity, attention, enthusiasm, and participation in learning. Furthermore, the use of this media can create a more active, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment. The successful implementation of this learning media is supported by the availability of technological facilities, teacher creativity, and student enthusiasm. However, there are challenges in its implementation, such as limited learning time and internet connection stability. Therefore, the interactive learning media Duck Race can be an effective, innovative alternative to increase student motivation in Islamic Religious Education (ISE)..

Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers' efforts in strengthening religious moderation towards the formation of student character and identify supporting and inhibiting factors at SD Negeri 2 Rukti Endah. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) model Kemmis and McTaggart which is implemented in two cycles through the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, while data analysis uses the interactive model of Miles and Huberman and percentage analysis to measure changes in students' tolerance character. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Problem Based Learning method and role playing is effective in improving students' tolerance character, which is demonstrated through the habit of saying salam, praying before and after studying, carrying out religious worship, and appreciating the celebration of religious holidays. This study shows that students not only understand the concept of tolerance theoretically, but are also able to implement it in everyday life, which reflects the values of tasamuh, musawah, shura, and tahadhdhur. Supporting factors include a multicultural school environment, inclusive policies, participatory learning strategies, and teacher role models. While inhibiting factors include limited time, the absence of structured programs, lack of teacher training, and external environmental influences. Overall, this study emphasizes the importance of contextual and experiential learning in strengthening religious moderation and the need for collaboration between schools, teachers, and parents in shaping students' character.
