Abstract

Land, as a natural resource, has various pressures along with the increase in the human population which has caused a decrease in the quality and land productivity. Decreasing soil quality is caused by nutrients that are washed away by rain and erosion mainly occurs on land that does not apply appropriate conservation management. The rate of erosion and sedimentation in an area illustrates the condition of the watershed management system. This study aims to predict the rate of soil erosion in the Krueng Pirak watershed in North Aceh Regency. The method used in this study is the survey method as follows: preparation, observation, data analysis and presentation of results. The results showed that the calculation of erosion predictions in the Krueng Pirak sub-watershed in North Aceh had different predictive values for each Land Mapping Unit (LMU). The highest erosion prediction is in LMU21 of 882.38 tons / ha / year with coconut vegetation, while the lowest is in LMU14 which only has 0.29 tons / ha / year. This happens because of the low carbon content of forest vegetation. For the Krueng Pirak sub-watershed area, there are several LMU areas that need to be preserved, including LMU2, LMU4, LMU6, LMU9, LMU10, LMU13, LMU15, LMU16, LMU17 and LMU21. This is because the value of predicted erosion in this area exceeds acceptable erosion values. Some conservation efforts that need to be done are in LMU 11 by integrating rubber plants with cassava plants. PL 12, SPL 13, SPL 15 by integrating the main crops with corn, upland rice, cassava, peanuts and plant residues used as mulch. Conservation in LMU16 and LMU21 is carried out by reforestation by covering the soil at the beginning of the year, while in LMU17 conservation is done by combining teak plantations with pea and green bean plants. Keywords: Sub-watershed, Prediction of Erosion, Conservation, LMU

Abstract

A systematic evaluation of the environmental regulations that apply to emerging pollutants at the international level, with a particular focus on Indonesia, is to be conducted. The search for articles and documents was conducted according to the PRISMA statement (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) in databases including PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Jane’s, Dimensions, Google Scholar, and the Comprehensive System of Standards and Evaluation of the Indonesian Ministry of the Interior. A total of 3089 documents were examined, and based on the inclusion, exclusion, and quality criteria, two tables were created: the first comprising 24 scientific publications and the second containing 7 Indonesian standards. The regulation of developing contaminants is a crucial matter that necessitates the involvement of many sectors, including political, economic, social, and environmental domains. To achieve this, it is essential to coordinate the government and society while taking into account the experiences of other nations for its execution. The challenges related to access to information and educational programs significantly affect compliance with environmental standards, and there is a paucity of scientific knowledge regarding this topic

Abstract

Satisfaction of XL Prepaid Cards among students at the University of Muhammadiyah Palembang (UMP), both simultaneously and partially. The research is associative, using a questionnaire as the data collection technique. The population consists of 100 UMP students who have used XL Prepaid Cards. The data analysis method combines qualitative and quantitative approaches, employing multiple linear regression, F and t tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results show a positive and significant effect of Product Quality and Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction. The regression equation is Y = 0.435 + 0.596 X1 + 0.244 X2. Simultaneously, Fcount (73.663) > Ftable (2.36) with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.1, indicating a significant joint effect. Partially, Product Quality has a significant effect (tcount = 5.269 > ttable = 1.290, sig. 0.000 < 0.1), and so does Service Quality (tcount = 2.160 > ttable = 1.290, sig. 0.000 < 0.1). The Adjusted R Square value is 59.5%, meaning that Product and Service Quality contribute 59.5% to Customer Satisfaction, while 40.5% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

In  2016,  the  Italian  Parliament  passed  a  law  that  extended  to  same-sex  couples  most  of  the  rights  of  married  heterosexual  couples. However, the  possibility  of  a  partner  in  a  same-sex  couple  adopting  the  biological  children  of  the  other  partner  so  contro-versial that  it  had  to  be  deleted  in  order  for  the  law  to  pass,  thus  denying  lesbian  and  gay  was  parents  the  legal  protection  they  need.  In  this  article,  we  analyze  the  speeches of  Parliamentarians  who  opposed  the  section  of  the  bill  concerning  lesbian  and  gay  parenthood. The  empirical  analysis  shows  different  discursive  strategies  deployed  by  MPs  to  combat  the  challenges  to  the  heteronormative family,  whose  common  reference  is  the  hegemonic  model  of  gender  which  has  characterized  the  resistance  of  the  Catholic  Church to  the  recognition  of  non-heterosexual  reproduction  and  kinship.  Findings  highlight  that  the  opposition  to  the  recognition  of  gay  and lesbian  parents  contributes  to  reiterating  restrictive  standards  of  motherhood  and  to  maintaining  the  institutionalization  of  sexualities and  reproduction  within  the  patriarchal  order.  Implications  of  the  research  findings  for  public  and  social  policies  are  discussed.
