Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fifth grade students in Science at SDN 21 Temban. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes in Science through the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Cooperative Learning Model. The type of research used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. This study used the Kammis and Mc. Taggart model, which consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 18 fifth-grade students at SDN 21 Temban, comprising 12 boys and 6 girls. Data collection techniques included observation, testing, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model improved learning outcomes. This was evident in the increase in the percentage of students participating in the pre-action phase from 28% to 56% in Cycle I, and to 89% in Cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model improved the science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 21 Temban.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of Pancasila Education of fourth-grade students of SDN 46 Membura due to the learning process still being dominated by lecture methods so that students are less active, less courageous in expressing opinions, and less involved in the learning process. Of the 22 students, many still have not reached the KKTP of 75%. This study aims to determine the improvement in learning outcomes of Pancasila Education of fourth-grade students of SDN 46 Membura through the application of the Make a Match learning model. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model which consists of the planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research was conducted in two cycles with 22 students as research subjects. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Make a Match learning model can improve student learning outcomes. In the pre-action stage, student learning completeness only reached 23%, then increased to 64% in cycle I and increased again to 91% in cycle II. In addition, student activeness and participation during the learning process also increased. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Make a Match learning model can improve the learning outcomes of Pancasila Education for fourth grade students at SDN 46 Membura and create a more active, enjoyable, and meaningful learning atmosphere for students.

Abstract

The learning process is often trapped in rote memorization (surface learning), resulting in low conceptual understanding and weak social interaction among students. The primary issue in this study is the lack of active engagement and the low quality of students' collaborative communication in understanding abstract values in Pancasila Education. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Deep Learning approach and analyze its impact on improving the collaborative communication of fifth-grade students at MI Muhammadiyah Buntu Barana. The method used is descriptive qualitative research. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of the Deep Learning approach through mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning elements successfully creates a profound learning atmosphere. Students do not merely memorize concepts but are able to connect them with social realities. A significant impact is observed in the improvement of collaborative communication, characterized by better listening skills, courage to express opinions, and increased group responsibility. This study implies that Deep Learning can serve as a strategic solution for educators to build democratic character and social skills in students from an early age through meaningful learning.
