Abstract

The dominance of conventional lecture-based instruction in class XI of SMAN 1 Percut Sei Tuan was identified as the primary determinant of learning boredom among students, establishing the central focus of this investigation. This uniform instructional approach progressively diminished student activeness, intensified academic disengagement, and degraded both attentional capacity and motivational orientation. Accordingly, this study was designed to analyze the relationship between lecture method hegemony and cognitive fatigue while assessing the relative effectiveness of diversified instructional strategies. Through a descriptive qualitative framework, participatory observation and documentation served as primary instruments for examining pedagogical patterns, classroom atmosphere, and students' behavioral responses. Empirical results demonstrated that lecture-dominated instruction produced measurable learning boredom, characterized by minimal constructive participation, deteriorating attentiveness, and disruptive manifestations including drowsiness and contextually irrelevant conversation. This condition shifted markedly when interactive pedagogical elements were introduced through questioning techniques, structured peer discussion, and contextualization of subject matter within students' experiential realities. These findings collectively affirm that instructional approaches embracing variety, interactivity, and innovation represent a pedagogically superior alternative, demonstrating greater capacity to cultivate meaningful student engagement and sustain intrinsic learning motivation than lecture-centered conventional instruction.

Abstract

Inflation is a key macroeconomic indicator reflecting economic stability and public welfare. In Indonesia, controlling inflation remains a primary priority of monetary policy due to its broad impact on purchasing power and national economic growth. This study aims to comprehensively examine the influence of money supply and the rupiah exchange rate on inflation through a systematic literature review. The research applies a descriptive qualitative approach by analyzing various empirical studies and relevant monetary economic theories. The findings reveal that the effect of money supply on inflation remains inconsistent; some studies show a negative relationship when increased liquidity is balanced by production capacity growth, while others indicate a positive correlation as predicted by the quantity theory of money. In contrast, the exchange rate consistently demonstrates a positive and significant effect: rupiah depreciation raises import prices and production costs, which are subsequently passed on to consumer prices. Collectively, both variables jointly determine inflation dynamics. It is concluded that effective inflation control requires coordinated monetary policies, integrating money supply management and exchange rate stabilization to maintain sustainable price stability in Indonesia.

Abstract

Intergenerational poverty is one of the most complex structural issues in human development in Indonesia. Social assistance programs implemented by the government, such as the Family Hope Program (PKH), Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT), and the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP), are expected to be instruments to break the chain of poverty passed down from one generation to the next. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of social assistance programs in breaking the chain of intergenerational poverty in Indonesia, covering four generations: Generation X (1965–1980), Millennial Generation (1981–1996), Generation Z (1997–2012), and Generation Alpha (2013–2025). The method used is descriptive qualitative research with a literature study approach, utilizing secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics, the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Bappenas, the World Bank, and national and international scientific journals. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model. The research results show that social assistance has partially improved access to education and health care, but its effectiveness in ending intergenerational poverty remains limited due to targeting issues, recipient dependency, regional disparities, and weak program integration with economic empowerment. The novelty of this research lies in its comparative analysis across four generations within a single intergenerational poverty framework, a topic that has not been widely studied before.
