Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited empirical research that simultaneously examines the influence of discipline and learning fatigue on the Quran memorization ability at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level in Indonesia. The study aims to (1) analyze the effect of discipline, (2) test the effect of learning fatigue, and (3) measure the combined effect of both on the Quran memorization ability of students in the Tahfidz program at MTs Muammar Gandi, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, academic year 2025/2026. The research uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto correlational-regression design. A population of 39 students was taken entirely through total sampling; after data cleaning, 34 students remained. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire, non-participant observation, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression with SPSS 26. The results show that discipline has a significant positive effect partially (t = 3.444; Sig. = 0.002), learning fatigue has no significant partial effect (t = -1.397; Sig. = 0.172), but both simultaneously have a significant effect (F = 10.890; Sig. = 0.000) with a contribution of 28.7%. These findings support Skinner's behaviorism theory and Ebbinghaus's forgetting curve, which suggest that Quran memorization is more determined by discipline than temporary fatigue. The study concludes that discipline is the main factor in the success of Tahfidz programs. Practical implications: Madrasah and pesantren managers need to strengthen the discipline system of muroja’ah and early detection of fatigue.

Abstract

This study analyzed: (1) the implementation of online training for Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers; (2) teachers' digital literacy following the training and its application in classroom instruction; and (3) the supporting and constraining factors affecting the implementation of online training and teachers' digital literacy in Talaud Islands Regency. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with thirteen informants selected through purposive sampling, including six IRE teachers, the Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office, an IRE supervisor, one principal, and four students. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis and were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The trustworthiness of the findings was enhanced through source and method triangulation and member checking. The findings revealed that online training was delivered through webinars, workshops, technical guidance programs, distance education, and independent digital learning. The training covered instructional planning, curriculum implementation, interactive learning media, digital assessment tools such as Quizizz and Google Forms, and digital literacy competencies. Zoom Meetings was the most frequently used platform, although teacher participation remained uneven. Teachers' digital literacy improved across information access, digital platform utilization, digital media development, digital assessment, digital ethics, and technology integration in IRE instruction. However, teachers' levels of digital literacy varied and were influenced not only by online training but also by self-directed learning, teacher professional education programs, teacher working groups, professional learning communities, and peer support. Supporting factors included teachers' motivation, institutional support from schools, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and supervisors, as well as the availability of technological facilities. The primary constraints included unstable internet connectivity, limited access to digital devices, inadequate digital competencies, and inconsistent institutional support across different areas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of the EdLink Learning Management System (LMS) and its effect on the learning motivation of postgraduate students at IAIN Parepare. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The sample consisted of 35 active postgraduate students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. Descriptive statistics were used to identify patterns of EdLink LMS usage, including the duration and frequency of access, as well as to describe the supporting and hindering factors perceived by students. Simple linear regression was applied to test the effect of EdLink LMS use on students’ learning motivation. The findings show that most students had used EdLink since their first semester (77.14%) and accessed it several times a week (68.57%). The regression analysis revealed that the use of EdLink LMS had a positive and significant effect on learning motivation, with an R Square value of 0.447. These findings indicate that optimizing LMS implementation and strengthening technical support are important strategies for enhancing students’ learning motivation.
