Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of the E-Project Managerial Team on fostering independence among Biology Education students at Universitas Jambi Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. The research investigates how managerial technology influences students' ability to manage tasks autonomously in an academic setting. Using a mixed-methods approach with an exploratory sequential design, the study combines quantitative data from questionnaires with qualitative insights. A random sampling method was applied to select participants from 143 students. Data analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS 24, employing descriptive statistics, normality, linearity, and regression tests to interpret the relationships between variables. The normality test returned a significance value of 0.614, while the linearity test showed a value of 0.482, confirming the appropriate distribution and relationships of the data. Results from the regression analysis (F value of 36.487, p = 0.001) revealed a statistically significant positive influence of the E-Project Managerial Team on students' independence. Descriptive analysis also indicated that while some students held neutral views, a considerable portion acknowledged improvements in their self-management and autonomy due to the team's involvement. This research uniquely integrates managerial technology with biology education, highlighting how digital project management tools can enhance student independence. It contributes to the growing literature on educational technology by offering innovative methods for promoting autonomy, time management, and individual skill development among students. This work provides practical insights for educators seeking to implement technological solutions to support self-directed learning.

Abstract

The mangrove forest has unique characteristics, plays a role in ecological and economic functions, and is a natural resource that has not been optimally utilized. This research was conducted in Tungkal 1 Village, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency, Jambi, to identify the potential utilization of mangrove plants as entrepreneur-based products. The research method involved surveys selected using snowball sampling, interviews with various stakeholders, and data analysis on respondent characteristics, knowledge, understanding, mangrove-based products, community involvement, support, accessibility, and economically valuable strategies for utilizing mangrove plants. The results show that the majority of the community has knowledge about mangrove forests, but their understanding of the potential utilization is still low. Mangrove-based products such as ecotourism, handicrafts, and sustainable fish farming have high economic potential. The level of community involvement in mangrove conservation and support for preservation efforts is high. In conclusion, mangrove management in Tungkal 1 Village can serve as a successful example in supporting sustainable local economic growth while preserving the important

Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimal concentration of Bacillus licheniformis required in the formation of liquid sugar from cassava waste, the value of sugar and value starch contained in degraded cassava skin waste. The design used in this study was Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 treatment concentration of cassava leaf extract (Manihot utilissima Pohl.), Ie 0 concentration, 1.5 ml concentration, 2.5 ml concentration and 3.5 ml of concentration B. licheneformis. Data were analyzed using analisis (ANOVA) followed by Duncan's range test (DMRT) with a 5% confidence level. The results of the study showed that all treatments had a significant effect on the administration of B. licheniformis concentrations. Treatment using 1.5 ml B. licheniformis concentration on cassava skin substrate weighing 1 gram after Duncan's test range (DMRT) with 5% confidence level resulted Reduction sugar value of 6.07%.

Abstract

Angso Duo Market is the largest traditional market in the city of Jambi, with an area of ± 5 Ha. The amount of waste produced by Angso Duo market every day is around 105 tons per day with a ratio of 70% biodegradable waste, 25% recycled (organic and paper) and 5% other waste. Of the 75% of waste that is around 60% is waste in the form of vegetables, most of which are mustard and cabbage. Vegetable waste has great potential to be used as organic fertilizer because it has good and complex nutrients such as protein, fat carbohydrates, calcium, phosphorus, iron, vitamins A, B and C, folic acid, fiber, water and sodium. The advantage of liquid organic fertilizer is that it contains enough nitrogen as a constituent of plant protein and chlorophyll. The results showed 6 types of bacteria namely Planococus, Neisseria, Halobacter, Azomonas, Azotobacter and Bruccella which were formulated into liquid fertilizers with a basic substrate of vegetable cabbage and mustard waste. Then tested the ability of bacteria to dissolve nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium as potential bacteria as liquid fertilizer

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of STEM–Project-Based Learning (PjBL) integrated E-Student Worksheets in cultivating character development specifically curiosity and creative thinking among biology education students. Using a quasi-experimental post-test-only control group design, the research involved 50 participants equally divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group engaged with STEM–PjBL-based E-Worksheets, while the control group used conventional worksheets. Statistical analyses, including tests of normality, homogeneity, and independent t-tests, revealed significant differences between the two groups. Students in the experimental class achieved markedly higher levels of curiosity (M = 83.01; p = 0.001) and creative thinking (M = 79.39; p = 0.003) than their counterparts, demonstrating that the integration of STEM and PjBL within digital worksheets not only increases engagement but also fosters deeper character formation by strengthening inquisitiveness, originality, and problem-solving abilities. The study provides evidence that technology-enhanced project-based learning environments can function as catalytic spaces for nurturing essential 21st-century competencies. The novelty of this research lies in its synthesis of STEM, PjBL, and character education within a single digital learning device an integration rarely explored in higher education. By embedding character attributes directly into project workflows, the E-Worksheets move beyond content delivery toward the cultivation of intellectual dispositions. This study contributes a practical framework for designing character-oriented digital learning tools, offering implications for lecturers, curriculum developers, and instructional technologists seeking to promote holistic student development through innovative, technology-supported pedagogical models.
