Abstract

The purpose of this study is to design and develop a synchronous generator virtual laboratory for undergraduate student courses, which can be treated as an accessorial tool for enhancing instruction. Firstly, the study reviews the general concept and algorithm of synchronous generator model. Secondly, the simulation method of this system is discussed. Finally, the paper introduces its example and analysis. One of the major objectives of this project is the dynamics of synchronous generators connected to the 500 kV EHV Jamali (Jawa-Madura-Bali) System under unbalanced steady state condition that could be modeled as a balanced synchronous generator’s model with unbalanced voltage inputs. The balanced synchronous generator model based on the rotor’s qd0 reference frame was chosen to substitute generator’s model embeded in loadflow analysis. The verification of the proposed generator’s model was checked by comparing it with a PSS Tecquiment NE9070 simulator. The unbalanced voltage inputs of generator were derived utilizing the loadflow analysis by determining the phase and sequence currents, and average bus voltages of the 500 kV EHV Jamali grid considering unbalanced portion variations. Meanwhile, the load locations having significant effect on the test generators are obtained by using the electricity tracing method. The developed virtual laboratory with a given example demonstrated the usefulness of the tool for studying synchronous generator under unbalanced steady-state operation.

Abstract

A “newest” room lighting system always links with environmental issues for reducing the consumption of primary energy such as coal and oil. The process carry out by adding natural lighting as solar lighting into artificial lighting. But the problem in combining these systems depends significantly on the condition of natural lighting, such as on weather conditions and light interference based on building construction (isolated or not isolated). Smart systems such as fuzzy logic can be used solution the problem. From the results of this study is artificial lighting can be reduced by half from its maximum condition but with different error margins depending on amount of light interference obtained. The values of these results can be monitored in real-time with IoT (Internet of Thing) media. Abstract

Audio Low Pass Filter pada sistem komunikasi telepon maupun radio memiliki frekuensi cut-off sebesar 4 KHz. Lebar bidang ini dianggap cukup untuk “memotong” sumber sinyal vokal manusia sebesar 20 KHz. Kebutuhan kanal komunikasi semakin meningkat namun alokasi frekuensi terbatas. Salah satu metode untuk meningkatkan kanal komunikasi adalah “mempersempit” frekuensi cut-off Low Pass Filter. Penelitian ini menggunakan Sallen and Key Butterwworth Low Pass Filter orde 4 dengan frekuensi cut-off divariasi mulai dari 4 KHz sampai 500 Hz. Pada setiap frekuensi cut-off dilakukan pengenalan suara, apakah masih dapat dikenali atau tidak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemotongan sinyal audio dengan frekuensi cut-off 4 KHz, 3,5 KHz, 3 KHz, dan 2,5 KHz, sinyal masih dapat dikenali, sehingga diperoleh lebar bandwidth 2,5 KHz x 2. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dengan bandwidth 5 KHz diperoleh peningkatan kapasitas kanal komunikasi sebesar 66,67%.

Abstract

The electrical engineering department at the Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Nasional (STTNAS), Yogyakarta has recently reconnoitered virtual laboratories for its undergraduate synchronous generator course to complement existing full-scale laboratory equipment. This study explores virtual laboratory development to be treated as an accessorial tool for enhancing instruction. The focus of this synchronous generator course is the dynamic transient behavior of the system after small disturbances as affected by the unbalanced load. The work is mainly carried out through nonlinear simulations under Matlab-Simulink. Results of the first version of the synchronous generator virtual laboratory and details of its development are provided.

Abstract

Kecanggihan teknologi berdampak pada seluruh elemen kehidupan. Pengolahan citra menjadi salah satu bidang yang sangat populer. Salah satunya diterapkan pada identifikasi wajah seseorang yang digunakan sebagai keamanan data, ruangan dan presensi harian. Menggunakan algoritma viola-jones sebagai library deteksi keberadaan wajah yang digerakan dengan metode Histogram of Oriented Gradient yang mengambil nilai rerata gradien dari setiap kontur wajah. Proses dimuat dalam media raspberry pi 3B yang terintegrasi dengan pi camera sebagai detektor wajah. Sampel wajah dinormalisasi ke ukuran 313 x rasio tetap piksel, menghasilkan tingkat kecocokan sebesar 74,629 % dari keseluruhan rerata hasil pengujian.

Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, all activities that involve large numbers of people arereduced to reduce the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus. So the number of people in aroom is important in the current pandemic era. To assist in determining the capacity of thenumber of people in a room, a system can be created to count the number of people in theroom so that the room is always in accordance with the predetermined capacity. Therefore,this study aims to create a system for counting the number of people in an IoT-based roomusing ESP32 as a control center, proximity sensor E18-D80NK to detect the presence ofobjects, 4x4 matrix keypad to enter the specified number of data, DC-DC buck converterstep down as a voltage reducer so that the ESP32 and selonoid doorlock can function, LCDI2C and by using Blynk.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk membuat prototipe sistem keamanan pintu dengan metode pengenalan wajah untuk mengendalikan kunci solenoid pada sebuah pintu. Sistem ini dibuat berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) berfungsi mengendalikan kunci solenoid dan bertukar informasi secara real time. Kunci solenoid akan terbuka secara otomatis saat sensor kamera menangkap citra wajah dan dicocokkan dengan citra yang sebelumnya sudah direkam dan disimpan di database sistem. Sistem dapat dikendalikan menggunakan smartphone/komputer yang terhubung melalui aplikasi Telegram Messenger. Hasil berupa sistem deteksi pengenalan wajah untuk membuka kunci solenoid dengan akurasi 92%. Sistem mampu membuka kunci solenoid secara otomatis berdasarkan kesesuaian citra. Rata-rata waktu pengiriman notifikasi berupa citra dan teks adalah 4 detik dan 0,5 detik. Dengan kata lain sistem telah bekerja dengan baik.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The dangers of cigarette smoke are not only harmful to smokers themselves but also to others. Cigarette smoke released from the mouth of smokers has a bad effect on the health of the person who inhales it, in this case, passive smokers. The research tool is a prototype monitoring and neutralizing cigarette smoke based on IoT using the NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller as a control center, using the MQ-2 sensor, DHT-11 sensor, DC fan, dot matrix P10, speakers and other materials used in the prototype for neutralizing cigarette smoke. This prototype is designed with the layout and components used to function as much as possible with a suitable place in the room. This research begins by reading the state of the room sending data from the ESP sender to the ESP receiver with the Blynk application communication to be processed from reading to neutralization. Abstract

Indonesia has a tropical climate with high rainfall intensity. This often leads to catastrophic flooding during heavy rains. This study aims to monitor the height and flow of river water online which is the initial information about the coming flood disaster. In supervision, using the ESP32 microcontroller technology approach based on the Internet of Things (IoT) is intended to obtain real time information on height and water discharge. In this system the ultrasonic sensor HC-SR 04 is used as a water level reader, the flowrate sensor is used as a water flow reader, the 20x4 LCD is used as a display of the sensor reading results, the LED is used as an indicator light and the speaker is used as a sound notification, and sends data wirelessly. to the Blynk, ThingsSpeak and Telegram apps. In this system, the detection of water level uses an ultrasonic sensor with 3 parameter values ​​that have been made, namely, water height is more than 30 cm, the status read is dangerous, water height is more than 20 cm and less than 30 cm, the status read is standby 2 and water level is less than 20 cm then the status read is safe. Detection of water discharge level using a flowrate sensor with a water discharge parameter value of more than 9 L / min then the status read is standby 1.

Abstract

One of the environmental problems faced by people in Indonesia is environmental pollution as a result of public knowledge about waste management, as a result of public knowledge of types of waste and still mixing waste into one place. This research has designed a garbage bin system that is able to sort out the types of waste, namely metal, organic, and inorganic waste. It uses a capacitive proximity sensor, an inductive proximity sensor, and an esp 32 module. From the results of this study, it is proven that the automatic trash can that is designed can sort out metal, organic, and inorganic types of waste.
