Abstract

Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS), is a device provided by the airport service to assist a pilot parked the plane on the righr place. On Aircraft parking control activities in the airport, the pilot is assisted by a marshaller that aims to be steering the movement of aircraft to the correct parking spot. The more density of the movement of aircraft on the apron activity requires the use of alternative technology to substitute marshaller, this technology is called Visual Docking Guidance Syatem (VDGS). VDGS display design uses three pieces o f board o f dot matrix display that is made into one to form a combination in accordance with the appearance on the VDGS on the market. Display used is a superbright LED dot matrix. The controller is a three pieces of. PIC 16F84A microcontroller and a series o f shift registers to display the movement of the aircraft to the right, to the left, straight and stops and also display the aircraft identity.

Abstract

The desire of students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Salam Magelang to be able to make a printed circuit board is something that is very important to be welcomed and followed up wisely so that the desire of the students is not just a wishful dream but will be a reality. This activity is meant to be an effort not only to overcome difficulties at certain times (short-term activities), but is expected to be sustainable for the future (longer term). Looking at the fact, of course, should be strived to realize the handling of the problem at least for the near term. For that required activities that are practical and immediate benefits can be taken as the activity can be a short course or short training. To solve the problem, it is realized by holding a short course / training course on PCB Layout Creation with DIP TRACE and Dry Film Photoresist technology followed by etching process, drilling and installation of components that will be useful for students who want to do the main final work related with the manufacture of tools / hardware. Keywords: Making PCB, DIP TRACE, Dry Photoresist film

Abstract

Temperature is a part of the natural condition that  related to human activities. Many human activity is affected by temperature fluctuation factors. For example, in this case is a temperature monitoring at these broiler farms and database monitoring center computer. Room temperature for  places are two examples of the human activities that the temperature factor is concerned. Until now, time temperature monitoring activity is done manually, thus it is need a monitoring tool that can be viewed from  the computer interface.To save time and cost, application for temperature monitoring equipment is made so that the results can be seen from a distance. The applications are user friendly, so users can easily find out the temperature value.Application for temperature monitoring equipment is useful to support the activities of monitoring the temperature. From the experimental results, the application for temperature monitoring equipment that uses radio frequency results can be viewed from a computer interface, so as to streamline the performance of temperature monitoring.

Abstract

Digital image was needed us a medium of information that can be transmitted by cable or wireless media. To obtain digital images must use a tool such as a camera. Users can use the camera to get a digital image with the remote sensing method on an object in a particular place. In the daily activities, users can take advantages of the digital image (pictures or video) that are useful for media documentation, monitoring system in somewhere and others. The design of this tool using LS_Y201camera to capture a digital image and wireless as a data transmission media. In this case a wireless media use Ultra High Frequency transmitter and receiver that support for remote sensing. Users run the tool through an application that is connected with a wireless media. This application is designed byDelphi7. Applications and wireless camera was made for simulation media of remote sensing and monitoring system in the blank spot area. The test result of applications and tools that use the Ultra High Frequency (wireless), can be viewed from a computer interface. In this case, the signal strength ofthe transmitter greatly affect the maximum distance that can be taken to make capture process. The test results are as follows: the best results at a distance of 10 meters = 011110102 (12210); distance of 20 meters = 011100112 (11510); distance of 30 meters = 011110102 (12210); distance of 40 meters =011011112 (11110); distance of 50 meters = 011100102 (11410). So the best distance to digital images transmission through a wireless networks are at a distance of 40 meters.

Abstract

Digital image processing of a system capable of generating digital image data and software as a medium to display the digital image data that uses radio waves to send data in HEX and convert in the form of images. Linksprite camera which enable to produce the digital image data and utilize the arduino UNO as a controller to send commands to the camera image capture and send the digital image data to the PC. The process of digital image based data transmission by radio waves utilizing the XBee Pro Series 1 . Results of testing the system implemented in the outdoor can take a longer distance when compared with the application of the system in the room . At a distance of 10-250 meters complete the full HEX data transmission and produces good images , with time ranging 2m.29s.39ms-2m.36s.56ms. Distance of 260-450 meters with a time of 2m.05s.02ms - 06ms 2m 01s but the picture quality is not good. At a distance of 500-530 meters with a time of 1m.10s.23ms-0m.50s.59ms produce images that are very less. While the distance of > 550 meters is the limit HEX data transmission capability to the receiver. The ability of the system mileage in the process of data transfer shorter if applied indoors. Distance of 1-60 meters with a time of 2m.29s.39ms - 60ms.2m.34s produce good quality images. At a distance of 80 meters with a time of 1m.25s.59ms produce poor images, and with a distance of 90 meters with a time 0m.35s.49ms produce images that are very less . While the distance of > 100 system not able to perform HEX data transmission

Abstract

The geographical position of Indonesia is located in an earthquake-prone area that is potentially most earthquake-tsunami, it takes a transmission medium to connect the cameramonitoring results between the sender and receiver of information or data that may provide information to the natural disasters. The transmission media can be a media streaming seawater and alarm monitoring that is connected with vibration sensor that functions as a medium for early warning of natural disasters. From the test results it can be concluded that the alarm system warning of earthquakes, able to work well as vibration sensor detects vibration. As well as video streaming process can run well on a LAN network using HTTP protocol 8080. Society as a client can access the video streaming server via the address specified by the application server.

Abstract

The limited ground marshall, yellow line and others at an airport will affect when parking aircraft. Aviation technology has provided solutions, among others, by attaching to aircraft equipment known as the Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS), is a tool provided by the airport to help a pilot park his plane without the help of a marshaller to direct the movement of planes to the  correct parking. However, not all airports are equipped with sophisticated equipment. So this research aims to create a system that can make it easier for pilots to park aircraft while in Apron. To overcome this problem, a VDGS tool was designed which was designed using a TF Mini Lidar sensor and programmed for aircraft parking systems at pioneering airports. This tool is able to provide information on the distance of the plane as far as 12 meters given a condition that the aircraft will display identification of guidance or collision prevention that will STOP if the aircraft is at a distance of 1-3 meters, and GO identification if the aircraft is at a distance of 4-12 meters so that this tool can serves as a guide to the position of the aircraft when parking right in the designated parking area and prevent aircraft crashes when parking when entering the apron area at the pioneer airport.

Abstract

Communication is the process of delivering information from a node to other nodes. In general, communication in the form of voice and data must be understood by both nodes. Flight data communication is used for pilots to collect information from the devices used. In this research, ARINC 429 data communication system is simulated using visual basic 2010 express. By using a GUI, the input data is obtained from the flight radarpro24 application. The data are representation of altitude and airspeed of Lion Air commercial flight JT922. The 32 bits of binary data are converted into decimal format. It was concluded that the altitude and airspeed data can be read and analyzed using this format.

Abstract

The development of unmanned aircraft technology encourage for new infrastructure and development in the tourism sector. Challenges for the development of tourism in Gunungkidul Regency included the development of tourism and cultural villages, access roads to tourism objects, and coastal tourism objects. So, the community service partner was the Gunungkidul Regency Tourism Office. The main objective in this community service activity was to increase knowledge and skills of UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) to support the development of tourism facilities, particularly in aerial photo taking. The target achieved at this stage was to increase knowledge about UAVs and the ability to control UAV aircraft for taking aerial photographs to support tourism in Gunung Kidul. Increasing ability to control UAVs was done through practice. While increasing knowledge was done through explanation about UAVs. This activity has been able to achieve the expected goals and targets, so that partner can recognize and be able to control the UAV.

Abstract

As we know, digital systems have been used in everyday life or in industry today because they are more useful than analog systems. Because it is important to develop digital systems, many new digital devices have been designed in complex ways. Some of these devices are called microprocessors, microcontrollers or microchips. It is very important to have very high speed performance in all devices. In this study, a tool was designed, namely, the Arichmetic Logic Unit or it can be called ALU. An important part of Field Programmable Gate Arrays or also known as FPGA, ALU generally has functions to perform arithmetic and logic calculations. Based on the results of the testing of the tools that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the design of the Arichmetic Logic Unit on the Spartan 2 FPGA. with the arithmetic operations performed are the ADDER (A + B) and SUBTRACTOR (A - B) operations, the logical operations performed are the OR (A OR B) and AND (A AND B) operations. It has been simulated and implemented with results that match the specifications of the design.
