Abstract

Generation Z employee productivity has become a key determinant of organizational success in the digital era, where organizations are required to adapt to rapid technological advancements and evolving workforce expectations. This study aims to examine the influence of transformational leadership, the work environment, and work engagement on the productivity of Generation Z employees at Putra Store. The study adopts a quantitative approach using an associative research design. The research population consists of all Generation Z employees at Putra Store, with the entire group of 60 employees included as respondents through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method with SmartPLS software. The results indicate that transformational leadership, the work environment, and work engagement each have a positive and significant influence on the work productivity of Generation Z employees, both individually and collectively. These findings demonstrate that enhancing employee productivity requires effective transformational leadership, a conducive and supportive work environment, and high levels of employee engagement. The study provides practical implications for Putra Store in developing human resource management strategies, strengthening organizational practices, and fostering a productive workplace that aligns with the characteristics and expectations of Generation Z employees.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Work Life Balance and job stress on Employee Engagement among Gen Z employees working at Coffee Shops in Surakarta City. This study used a quantitative approach involving 82 Gen Z employee respondents aged 18-27 years with a minimum work period of 3 months. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS software. The results show that Work Life Balance has a significant positive effect, while job stress has a significant negative effect on Employee Engagement. Both variables jointly explain 41% of the variation in Employee Engagement. Work Life Balance is proven to be the most influential factor in enhancing the work engagement of Gen Z employees. These findings indicate that work-life balance should be a priority for coffee shop management. A work environment that supports this balance can help enhance employee well-being and comfort in performing their duties. Therefore, the company needs to implement flexible work policies and manage workloads to minimize stress and boost employee engagement.

Abstract

The dynamics of the agribusiness sector demand that SMEs agilely adapt to technology while maintaining solid coordination within their network of partners and consumers. Driven by this urgency, this study aims to investigate the effect of operational digitalization on supply chain integration, as well as to examine the impact of these variables on business sustainability in the poultry carcass supplier Bebek Ndeso Wonogiri. This study employs a quantitative approach with a survey design, involving 70 respondents consisting of internal and external parties through a purposive sampling technique. Primary data were collected using a Likert scale 1–5 structured questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) based on SmartPLS 4. Based on the data processing results, it is revealed that operational digitalization has a positive and significant effect in establishing reliable supply chain integration, which in turn is proven to have a positive and significant effect on enhancing business sustainability. On the other hand, operational digitalization was recorded as not having a direct significant effect on business sustainability. Substantively, these findings conclude that achieving business sustainability in the poultry carcass industry does not solely rely on technological modernization, but is heavily influenced by the effectiveness of supplier coordination, internal workflow synchronization, and the quality of customer relations. The implication of these findings underscores the importance for business actors to combine the use of digital technology with a comprehensive supply chain integration strategy in order to secure long-term business continuity.
