Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Natural Science learning on the five senses material and describe the learning motivation of students in the lower grades of UPT SDN 01 Mekar Laras. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with research subjects of second-grade teachers and students who were selected purposively because they were directly involved in AI-assisted learning. Data were collected through observation of the learning process, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model which includes data condensation, data presentation, and drawing and verifying conclusions. The results showed that the use of AI in science learning created a more interactive, interesting, and enjoyable learning atmosphere. Students appeared more enthusiastic, actively participated in learning activities, and showed a higher interest in the five senses material. Teachers also utilized AI as a medium to present material in a more varied and easy-to-understand way. These findings indicate that the use of AI can support the creation of a more meaningful learning experience and encourage the emergence of student learning motivation in science learning in lower grades.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the EduLearn app-based, cross-disciplinary learning medium on elementary school students' Indonesian language literacy skills and their understanding of Pancasila values. This quantitative study employed a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of 28 students in the experimental group (using the EduLearn app) and 28 students in the control group (using conventional media). Data were collected through expert validation and pretest-posttest instruments. Validation results indicated that the EduLearn medium was highly suitable for use, with a validity score of 91.00%. An Independent Samples t-Test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) for both dependent variables, a finding reinforced by the MANOVA test (F-calculated = 48.215; Sig. = 0.000). The experimental group's average posttest scores reached 86.79 for Indonesian language literacy (N-Gain = 0.69) and 87.86 for the understanding of Pancasila values ​​(N-Gain = 0.71), significantly surpassing the control group. Effect size calculations (Cohen's d) of 2.32 and 2.37 confirmed the medium's effectiveness as falling within the "very high" category. In conclusion, the EduLearn app proved effective in simultaneously enhancing elementary school students' literacy skills and their understanding of Pancasila values
