Abstract

This study describes the quality management of the Tabana Bhakti Buwana Program at shaping student character at MAS Tarbiyatul Banin Banat, focusing on the implementation of the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis involving the Madrasah Head, Program Coordinator, Deputy Head for Curriculum, and three group mentor teachers; the data were then analyzed using the interactive model developed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The findings indicate that operational planning and implementation are well-directed and comprehensively documented. However, the stages regarding quality standard setting, monitoring (checking), and corrective actions remain weak. The Madrasah lacks official implementation guidelines beyond the initial proposal; evaluation documents are not fully archived; and the extension of the program duration from two weeks to one month (scheduled for 2026) lacks formal documentation. To date, the program's success has relied more on the commitment of individual administrators than on an established quality management system. By applying the PDCA framework—rather than the POAC model commonly used in previous studies—this research successfully identifies specific stages of the TBB Program management that require strengthening.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to comprehensively examine the principal's strategy in formulating, implementing, and evaluating the Accelerated Learning Group Program (KBC) as an effort to improve students' academic quality and realize the competitiveness of the madrasah at MTsN 1 Trenggalek. Method: This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation studies, while data analysis used the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. Data validity was tested through source and technique triangulation. Result: The formulation of the KBC Program was carried out through needs analysis, comparative studies, the establishment of a management team, the development of an academic system, and collaboration with parents. Implementation centered on compressing learning time, strengthening independent learning through Self-Directed Learning Units (UKBM), and direct monitoring. At the evaluation stage, the focus was directed toward learning achievement and program outcomes.Novelty: This study provides concrete evidence linking the stages of the principal's strategic management systematically with a credit-semester-based acceleration program in madrasahs, while also revealing gaps between student grouping policies and field practices that affect students' psychosocial well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze library digitalization as a framework for Continuous Improvement in improving the quality of sustainable literacy after school accreditation at SMP Negeri 20 Surabaya through the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, head librarian, librarian, and teacher. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña through data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that library digitalization has been implemented through all stages of the PDCA cycle. The Plan stage involved planning digital facilities and collections, the Do stage involved the use of INLISLite for collection management and library services, the Check stage involved evaluation and utilization of service data, while the Act stage involved maintenance, problem solving, and service development adjustments. However, monitoring has not been conducted regularly, and evaluation results have not been consistently used as a basis for subsequent service development. The novelty of this study lies in applying PDCA to analyze library digitalization as a Continuous Improvement mechanism for sustaining literacy quality in the post-accreditation context.
