Abstract

This community service program aims to optimize the reservoir potential in Karangasem Village, Sukoharjo Regency, through floating net cages and fish farming training. Addressing the lack of technical expertise among the "GP" Fish Farmers Group, the program enabled them to utilize the reservoir for economic and sustainable fish farming activities. The program encompassed three phases: preparation, implementation, and monitoring. During preparation, the necessary resources and permits were secured. The implementation phase featured interactive training on the design, construction, and maintenance of floating net cages and practical skills for gourami fish farming a species with high economic value. The program yielded significant improvements in participants' knowledge and skills. Pre- and post-training assessments demonstrated a 32.13% increase in knowledge, with average scores rising from 61.39 to 81.11. Participants successfully constructed operational floating net cages with technical specifications, including floating drums, iron frames, nets, and wooden pathways. Their active engagement during discussions and practice sessions highlighted enthusiasm for expanding gourami fish farming individually and collectively. The initiative emphasized practical solutions for utilizing the reservoir's freshwater efficiently and creating economic opportunities through aquaculture. Future recommendations include integrating digital marketing strategies to broaden the market reach of fish products and workshops on product innovation, such as ready-to-cook gourami or other fish-based items. Ongoing mentoring and periodic evaluations are essential to ensure the program’s sustainability and effectiveness. This program demonstrates the potential of community-driven aquaculture to enhance rural economic resilience and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Kereta Api merupakan moda transportasi penumpang dan barang yang memiliki berbagai keunggulan. Diantaranya kapasitas angkut yang besar, efisien, aman, serta nyaman. Salah satu faktor yang menunjang keamanan dan kenyamanan perjalanan Kerata Api adalah sistem suspensi. Sistem suspensi ini berfungsi meredam getaran akibat pergerakan kereta dan rel. Komponen penting dalam sistem suspensi adalah shock absorber, yang berfungsi meredam gaya osilasi dan mendispersikan energi kinetik dari guncangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prosedur assembling shock absorber yang sesuai standar, viskositas oil damper yang tepat, serta pengaruh kondisi komponen terhadap kualitas shock absorber di PT KAI (Persero) UPT Balai Yasa Surabaya Gubeng. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksperimental dan komparatif untuk membandingkan dua variabel, yaitu viskositas oli SAE 10 dan SAE 40. Parameter pengujian meliputi grafik perbandingan antara force dan velocity, peak velocity, gas test, dan seal drag. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa oli SAE 40 dengan viskositas tinggi menghasilkan redaman yang lambat dan tidak memenuhi standar, terutama pada posisi rebound pada kecepatan 95mm/sec dengan force 363,19Kgf (di bawah batas toleransi 370-630 Kgf). Hasil gas test menunjukkan 6,67Kgf, serta pengujian seal drag sebesar 20,43Kgf  telah melebihi standar 5-15Kgf. Sebaliknya, oli SAE 10 menunjukkan performa yang lebih baik. Pada posisi rebound, gaya tetap dalam batas standar, yaitu sebesar 401,45Kgf pada kecepatan 102,52mm/sec. Gas test  sebesar 4,23 Kgf dan seal drag sebesar 7,07 Kgf juga memenuhi standar. Sehingga proses assembling dan viskositas yang dipakai dalam assembling sangat berpengaruh terhadap hasil pengujian. Pemilihan komponen shock absorber yang tidak sesuai standar dapat mempengaruhi hasil dari gas test dan seal drag. sebab berdampak pada hasil pengujian yang tidak sesuai standar.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company operating in the international standard Agro chemical industry. Products produced by PT. XYZ is ethanol, SCP30 and humic compounds. The aim of this research is to analyze SCP30 product defects, determine the factors that cause defects, and analyze how production control is implemented. The research used the QCC method and the research itself was carried out at PT. XYZ which is located in Kebakkramat. The author carried out research by observing the production process time and conducting direct interviews in order to find out and conclude the causes of product defects. Based on findings in the field, there are 3 types of defects, namely less dry, soft and burnt defects. After carrying out analysis, observation and interviews with related parties, it can be concluded that the causes of product defects occur. then we can propose improvements using the 5W+1H analysis. After improvements and implementation of QCC, it was found that the defect reduction was 7.11%, although it was still above the company standard, namely 6%. The decrease in soft and less dry defects reached zero defects while burnt defects increased. However, it is not a problem for the company because it can still be used compared to other defects. Next, standardization is made. This research can still be continued until it reaches zero defect

Abstract

Feed is a main factor influencing fish growth. However, feed formulation using traditional methods such as the Pearson Square is often considered complex and time-consuming for fish farmers. This study aims to design and development an Android-based application named “Hitung Pakan”, which can calculate fish feed formulations quickly and accurately. The research employed the waterfall method, including requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The application was developed using Java programming language and tested by 10 respondents from a fish farming group. The results showed no differences between the application’s calculations and manual calculations using Pearson Square method equations. This indicates that the developed application provides accurately results, simplifies the formulation process, and reduces human error. Therefore, the application is feasible to be used as a formulation tool in fish farming group.Keywords - Android Application, Calculation Efficiency, Fish Feed Formulation, Pearson Square.

Abstract

Digital technology, especially SolidWorks software and 3D printing, has brought significant changes to the modern manufacturing industry, increasing efficiency, productivity, and product quality. The problems faced by vocational school graduates are related to their lack of skills in operating the software. Community service activities aim to provide solutions, with direct training, to overcome the skills gap that arises due to the lack of facilities and competent teachers in the vocational school environment. Training methods include delivering material with practical exercises and using evaluations to measure participants' understanding. The main goal is to improve product design skills using SolidWorks and operating 3D printing machines. Based on the training carried out, it shows an increase in participants' knowledge regarding the operation of SolidWorks software and 3D printing. This can be seen from the increase in post-test scores of 6.34% compared to the pre-test. In addition, the participants' 3D printed parts showed better quality in terms of dimensional accuracy, visual surface roughness, and fewer defective parts compared to before the training.

Abstract

Batik is an ancestral heritage of the Indonesian people that has been preserved to this day, particularly on the island of Java. In Java, the centers of the batik industry are located in Pekalongan, Yogyakarta, Surakarta, and Sukoharjo. In Sukoharjo, there are several home industries producing batik cloth, especially in the Krendetan Sukoharjo area, which specializes in both written and stamped batik. The batik-making process in these home industries is performed manually using simple tools. A preliminary survey revealed that the batik-making process involves repetitive tasks and imposes a high workload, particularly in the batik stamping process. This study aims to determine energy expenditure during work, energy expenditure during rest, and energy consumption needs for workers in the batik industry. The research was conducted in the stamping section and the boiling process to remove wax from the fabric. The results showed that energy expenditure during the batik stamping process was 382 kcal/hour, while in the boiling process it was 402 kcal/hour. Energy expenditure during rest was 354 kcal/hour in the stamping process and 367 kcal/hour in the boiling process. Energy consumption during the stamping process was 29 kcal/hour, and in the boiling process, it was 36 kcal/hour. The required rest time for the stamping process was 7.43 minutes per 15 minutes of work, while for the boiling process it was 5 minutes per 30 minutes of work.

Abstract

Brem Putih Wonogiri merupakan makanan khas dari Kabupaten Wonogiri yang diproduksi secara turun temurun, khususnya di Kecamatan Nguntoronadi sebagai sentra industri Brem putih terbesar di wilayah tersebut. Proses produksinya yang masih tradisional, seperti penggunaan tungku dan oven dengan ventilasi minim, berdampak pada aspek ergonomi lingkungan kerja fisik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis suhu dan kebisingan di dua bagian produksi, yaitu ruang dapur dan ruang pencetakan berdasarkan waktu kerja yaitu pagi, siang dan sore hari. Penelitian ini berjenis deskriptif kuantitatif, variabel terikat dalam penelitin ini yaitu kenyamanan dan produktivitas pekerja. Sedangkan variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah data hasil obervasi pengukuran aspek suhu dan kebisingan di lima UMKM tepatnya di ruang dapur dan ruang pencetakan berdasarkan waktu kerja pagi, siang, dan sore hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik uji beda (analisis variansi dan uji nonparametriks).  Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi dasar pertimbangan dalam penerapan intervensi ergonomi yang tepat sesuai waktu dan ruang kerja.
