Abstract

Early marriage remains a social problem that affects adolescents’ health, education, and well-being. The high rate of early marriage in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province indicates the need for preventive efforts starting at school age. This community service activity aimed to improve adolescents’ knowledge and awareness regarding the causes, impacts, and prevention strategies of early marriage. The program was conducted on July 27, 2026, at the Computer Laboratory of SMP Negeri 2 Lubuk Besar and involved 43 eighth-grade students. The methods included interactive lectures, slide presentations, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The results showed that participants were enthusiastic, actively asked questions, and demonstrated a better understanding of the risks of early marriage related to health, education, economic conditions, and social life. In addition, students showed increased awareness of prioritizing education and planning their future more carefully before marriage. School-based education can serve as an effective preventive strategy to support efforts to reduce early marriage rates in Central Bangka Regency.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of housewives in Lubuk Lingkuk Village regarding the utilization of *kelulut* (stingless bee) honey to create economically valuable food products. The activity employed a participatory empowerment approach, comprising stages of needs identification, preparation, outreach, training, hands-on practice, and evaluation. Fifteen housewives participated in the training, which utilized demonstration and "learning-by-doing" methods to cover *kelulut* honey mochi production, packaging, production cost calculation, pricing, and marketing. The results demonstrated that participants were able to independently execute the entire process, from mochi production to packaging. Evaluation revealed an 83% increase in participants' knowledge, based on pre-test and post-test results. This initiative provided participants with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to transform *kelulut* honey into value-added processed products. The training holds the potential to boost the productivity of housewives, create home-based business opportunities, and foster family economic self-reliance based on local resources.
