Abstract

Acute renal colic is one of the most frequent urologic visits in Emergency Department (ED), and early management should focus on early relief of pain. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), opiates, or combination of both are often used to treat this condition. Diclofenac is stated in European Association of Urology (EAU) guideline as first line treatment. Interestingly, it is ketorolac that currently the most common analgesics used in most EDs. A meta-analysis study was designed to investigate whether ketorolac or diclofenac is a better NSAID for early pain relief in acute renal colic patients. Relevant studies were obtained from PubMed, Science Direct, Cochrane, EBSCO, and Proquest. Based on current studies, both ketorolac and diclofenac are found superior than pethidine, while both providing a comparable pain relief with diclofenac regarded as a safer option. Further prospective data is needed in Indonesian clinical settings for its assurance in efficacy and safetyKolik ginjal akut adalah salah satu kunjungan urologi yang paling sering di departemen darurat (Emergency Department/ED), dan manajemen dini fokus untuk mengatasi rasa nyeri.

Abstract

This article presents the innovation of a 360-degree Product Display Stand designed for showcasing products of varying weights, with a focus on developing the transmission system and stepper motor control. The innovation, a collaborative effort with CV. Songo Industries, resulted in a product capable of displaying a 40 Kg electric wheelchair with high precision. Testing was conducted on various stepper motor configurations using the TB6600 driver, demonstrating that increasing pulse/rev improved the smoothness and strength of the rotational movement, although it slowed down the rotation speed. The stand successfully withstood loads up to 50 Kg and likely can handle even heavier loads. With a reinforced pulley mechanism, the Product Display Stand achieved a total torque of up to 280Kg, surpassing the motor's maximum torque of 20Kg. This study provides a foundation for the development of similar products on a larger scale, such as motorcycles or cars, with appropriate adjustments in mechanical design and transmission. The article invites further collaboration with CV. Songo Industries for advanced custom product development.

Abstract

The development of information technology has penetrated various areas. This is driven by improved service, rapid increase in information needs and decision making. General elections that are held every time always leave problems about securities and speed of recapitulation. This is because the process is done in the traditional way. This research tries to apply blockchain technology to the e-Voting system security engineering process so that it creates a votes recapitulation process that is fast, accurate and accompanied by transparency values to maintain the reliability of the existing vote and maintain the confidentiality of the vote data being transacted. Transparency and confidentiality of voter data is a fundamental value in general elections or voting that must exist. Seeing this, blockchain technology deserves to be applied because the principles that needed can be met by applying this technology to the e-Voting system.

Abstract

Iatrogenic injury to the urinary tract is a potential complication of all surgical procedures performed in or retroperitoneum and pelvis. Gynecological surgery in particular has a risk of urinary tract injury due to the close anatomy of the urinary tract and the reproductive system in women. This study aimed to evaluate the relation between pre-operative ureteral catheter use and complications of intraoperative ureteral and bladder trauma in gynaecologic oncology patients undergoing major surgical procedures. This study used cohort data of patients undergoing major surgical procedures at Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Hospital, Manado, recorded in medical records from January 1, 2023 to June 30, 2023. The bivariate test showed that patients who received pre-operative ureteral catheter insertion had fewer urological trauma events (4.5%) compared to patients who did not get pre-operative ureteral catheter (95.5%). The relations between pre-operative ureteral catheters and the incidence of urological trauma was found to be statistically significant with a p-value of 0.019 and the history of chemotherapy had a p-value of 0.036, meanwhile the relations with other variables showed p-values of >0.05. Therefore, the use of pre-operative catheters could not significantly eliminate the occurrence of ureteral trauma because many of the confounding factors were accompanied by several other conditions that were also studied in the multivariate analysis. In conclusion, there is no association between the use of pre-operative ureteral catheters and complications of intraoperative ureteral trauma in gynecologic oncology patients undergoing major surgical procedures. Future studies using samples from more sources are expected to assess the relation between pre-operative ureteral catheter use and the incidence of urological trauma more accurately, and to assess the ease of use of pre-operative ureteral catheter. Abstract

Using the survey method, this quantitative research aims to examine the effect of work stress on turnover intention, with job burnout as a mediating variable among medical personnel at the Central General Hospital, Prof. R. D. Kandou, Manado. Through random sampling techniques, as many as 105 respondents out of 120 medical personnel were selected as samples, and data was obtained using a closed questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using the SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares) method using SmartPLS 3 software to evaluate the validity and reliability of indicators and test the relationship between variables in the research model. This study found that work stress had a positive and significant effect on job burnout, with an influence value of 0.794, and turnover intention, with an influence value of 0.455. At the same time, job burnout positively affected turnover intention, with an influence value of 0.433. It is proven that the higher the level of work stress in medical personnel, the more likely they are to experience burnout and intend to leave work.
