Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Using the survey method, this quantitative research aims to examine the effect of work stress on turnover intention, with job burnout as a mediating variable among medical personnel at the Central General Hospital, Prof. R. D. Kandou, Manado. Through random sampling techniques, as many as 105 respondents out of 120 medical personnel were selected as samples, and data was obtained using a closed questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using the SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares) method using SmartPLS 3 software to evaluate the validity and reliability of indicators and test the relationship between variables in the research model. This study found that work stress had a positive and significant effect on job burnout, with an influence value of 0.794, and turnover intention, with an influence value of 0.455. At the same time, job burnout positively affected turnover intention, with an influence value of 0.433. It is proven that the higher the level of work stress in medical personnel, the more likely they are to experience burnout and intend to leave work.

Abstract

The shifting lifestyle trends towards prolonged periods of sitting have led to an increase in health issues such as stress, depression, and even hypertension. In the pursuit of maintaining health, therapy, particularly shower therapy, has become a popular choice for its perceived ability to provide warmth, relaxation, and alleviate fatigue. However, questions arise regarding whether the water temperature in shower therapy changes as water flows at specific rates and how this might influence the therapy's effectiveness. This research aims to observe whether the water temperature in shower therapy is affected by the flow rate using the DS18B20 temperature sensor. The method involves measuring the water temperature at rest and while it flows at various flow rates. Water flow is controlled using a dimmer on the booster pump, while temperature measurements are taken using the DS18B20 temperature sensor and water flow meter sensor. The test results indicate that water at temperatures of 38-43°C flowing through pipes experiences an average temperature decrease of approximately 1.53°C. However, the temperature decrease does not exhibit a linear relationship with the flow rate. These findings suggest the possibility of other factors, such as the surface area of the conduit (pipes), influencing the temperature reduction in shower therapy. Hence, further research to examine the impact of the surface area of the conduit on the temperature reduction in shower therapy is warranted to obtain a more comprehensive understanding.

Abstract

Cardiac arrest can occur at any time, anywhere, and is caused by various conditions and environments. Basic Life Support (BHD) measures can minimize the death rate. The presence of competent helpers during a life-threatening emergency can increase the victim's chances of survival. This assistance is not only provided by health workers, but everyone can do BHD, including members of the Panji Yosua Pria Kaum Bapa. This activity aims to equip the members of Panji Yosua Pria Kaum Bapa GMIM Moria Kali dan GMIM Otniel Kali selatan in terms of Rapid Response when encountering victims who experience cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest by providing Basic Life Support. Training activities are carried out by means of education, simulation and demonstration, but leaflets are also provided as an internalization effort for training participants. The results of this community service show that there was an increase in the average knowledge score after Basic Life Support training was carried out.
