Currently, the word "freedom to learn" is not foreign to Indonesian society, especially in the world of education. The independent learning curriculum was designed as an effort by the Ministry of Education and Culture to overcome the learning crisis that has long been faced due to the pandemic. The pandemic has influenced a learning crisis which is characterized by low student learning outcomes. The aim of the independent curriculum is so that education in Indonesia can be like developed countries where students have the freedom to choose according to their interests. Given this, the aim of writing this article is to provide information regarding the independent learning curriculum which is being implemented as an effort to restore learning in Indonesia today. This research is descriptive research with data collection techniques through online data searching or internet searching. In conclusion, the independent curriculum is an important component in the world of education, because the curriculum is a reference for organizing so that educational goals can be achieved. In this independent curriculum, it is prepared by the Government as the policy maker. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of productive zakat utilization and mentoring on the welfare of mustahiq (zakat recipients) at the Baitul Mal of Bener Meriah Regency. Productive zakat is viewed as an important instrument for promoting the economic independence of recipients, while mentoring is expected to strengthen their managerial capacity and business sustainability. This research employs a quantitative descriptive approach with a population of 100 mustahiq and a sample of 50 respondents selected through a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed through multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 18. The results show that productive zakat utilization has a positive and significant effect on the welfare of mustahiq (t-count 4.104 > t-table 2.014), whereas mentoring has no significant effect (t-count 1.136 < t-table 2.014). However, both variables simultaneously have a significant influence on mustahiq welfare (F-count 9.378 > F-table 2.802) with a coefficient of determination of 28.5%. These findings indicate that the effectiveness of productive zakat programs can be enhanced when accompanied by more intensive and continuous mentoring. The study provides practical implications for zakat management institutions to strengthen the mentoring aspect in their economic empowerment programs.

Abstract

The concept of tasyabbuh is often understood textually by some Muslim groups as a form of resemblance to other groups. This understanding triggers caution to avoid imitating the ways, products, or identities of non-Muslims. However, in an increasingly global cultural context, cross-cultural resemblance becomes inevitable. If not properly understood, the prohibition of tasyabbuh can create difficulties for Muslims themselves. In this context, applying the prohibition of tasyabbuh to the boycott movement of pro-Israel products may become a counterproductive action. This movement encourages the use of alternative products as a form of rejection towards Israel. Interestingly, the availability of these alternative products creates a need to resemble the very products being boycotted. This study uses a qualitative approach with critical discourse analysis methods. The findings reveal that the narrowing of the meaning of tasyabbuh in the context of legal prohibition often overlooks interpretations of cultural resemblance, including in product boycott actions. This article revisits the meaning of the tasyabbuh hadith and relates it to the phenomenon of the boycott of pro-Israel products in the contemporary era.
