Abstract

The development of Financial Institutions including Financial Technology (Fintech) in providing loans to borrowers is increasingly important in the current business financing system. This study aims to determine the perceptions of borrowers by exploring their views on lending practices pro- vided by financial institutions and fintech and identifying the factors that influence the institution’s decision to provide loans to them. This study uses a qualitative research method by asking a number of questions to debtors in one of the Micro and Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) commu- nities in the city of Bandung, Indonesia. The questionnaire form is in the form of open-ended ques- tions and is distributed to 47 MSMEs in the city with various types of business fields. The results show that the factors that influence the success of borrowers in obtaining credit from both financial institutions and fintech are the factors classified as 5 Cs of credit in terms of Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, and Conditions. All these factors are summarized as soft information and hard information, which are applied by financial institutions and financial technology institutions.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze marketing strategies by utilizing association data mining algorithms, specifically Apriori and FP-Growth, to increase sales in e-commerce companies. The data used consists of actual sales data from Blibli.com, analyzed using RapidMiner to identify significant purchasing patterns. The analysis results show a strong association between products such as "Mother & Baby Needs – Body Skin Care" (support 0.108, confidence 0.476) and "Skin Care – Household Care" (support 0.195, confidence 0.443). These patterns indicate opportunities to design marketing strategies based on product bundling, discounts, and personalized digital promotions. The Apriori algorithm provides more intuitive and relevant results for marketing analysis compared to FP-Growth, which is better suited for larger datasets. The proposed marketing strategies include digital campaigns, bundling offers, push notifications, and event marketing that emphasize consumers' functional and emotional values. This study highlights the importance of understanding consumer transaction patterns in designing effective marketing strategies to enhance customer appeal and e-commerce company profits. By applying data mining, companies can create more personalized and efficient shopping experiences tailored to market needs.

Abstract

The large number of lecturers and universities does not necessarily result in high research publications because Indonesian research publications are still low at the international level. This study aims to determine work motivation and perceptions of organizational support for proactive research behavior (case study of lecturers at the LP3I Jakarta Polytechnic): a self-determination theory approach. This study uses quantitative research with a sample of 99 lecturers at the LP3I Jakarta Polytechnic. The results show that work motivation, both intrinsic and extrinsic, significantly encourages proactive behavior. Motivated lecturers tend to be more initiative and oriented towards improving performance. In addition, perceptions of organizational support also have a positive effect; lecturers who feel supported tend to be more proactive. Simultaneously, these two variables explain 64% of the variance in proactive behavior, underlining the importance of internal and external factors. The implication is that the LP3I Jakarta Polytechnic needs to apply a holistic approach, combining the development of lecturers' work motivation (through training, recognition, etc.) with the creation of a supportive environment (constructive feedback, resources, etc.). This integrated strategy will foster proactive behavior, which ultimately improves the quality of the institution.

Abstract

The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), established in 2021, integrates various research institutions in Indonesia to focus on research and innovation without regulatory duties. This study investigates the impact of servant leadership, auditor competence, and risk culture on the effectiveness of internal audits at BRIN, utilizing a quantitative method with data collected via questionnaires from BRIN's Main Inspectorate. The results indicate that servant leadership significantly influences the creation of a risk culture but not internal audit effectiveness directly. However, auditor competence and risk culture significantly enhance internal audit effectiveness. Additionally, servant leadership indirectly improves internal audit effectiveness through the creation of a risk culture. The study highlights the need for fostering a risk culture and enhancing auditor competence to improve internal audit effectiveness in newly established institutions like BRIN.

Abstract

Objectives: The COVID pandemic proved that humans are not hesitant to adopt technology in the banking industry, especially as a method of payment. In Indonesia, this fact is demonstrated by the value of e-wallet transactions in 2021 which reached 18,5 billion USD. The implementation of QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) in the payment systems of e-wallets compels every e-wallet provider to intensify their marketing activities to overcome competitors. Previous studies on this topic primarily focused on factors that influence customer engagement on social media using traditional approaches, such as interviews and statistical methods to process the data. This research aims to overcome the limitations of previous research by using machine learning methods in predicting the customer engagement type of primary data collected directly from social media in this case Twitter.Methodology: In this paper, we propose the application of machine learning methods such as XGBoost, Random Forest, Decision Tree, and KNN to predict the most likely engagement type of a tweet related to e-wallet content using 15.756 data which are directly collected from Twitter.Finding: This research successfully found that XGBoost and KNN are the machine learning algorithms that perform best and the results in prediction from using the combined dataset and the individual e-wallet brands dataset are similar. Conclusion: Even though the prediction accuracy in this research is good, this research still has many limitations. Thus, future research in the same field would benefit from a larger amount of data to accommodate machine learning algorithms that are more complex like deep learning.
