Abstract

ABSTRACT Objectives: This paper aims to answer the question of how the relationship between law and moralism, as well as how to internalize moral principles in making laws and regulations in Indonesia. Methodology: This study used a philosophical approach that aimed to explore the relationship between law and morals from the perspective of John Austin, Kelsen, and H. L. A Hart. It also used the transcendental perspectives in exploring the importance of internalizing moral principles in making laws and regulations in Indonesia. The research method in the article used descriptive normative research methods, with interpretative data processing techniques regarding the importance of moral aspects in making laws and regulations in Indonesia. Findings: The dominance of the philosophy of positivism has broad implications. The closure of the law to morality raised by adherents of legalism, legal positivism, or reinerechtslehre does not only raise injustice everywhere but also appear with a face of totalitarian or repressive law. Law and moral relations, according to John Austin (1790-1859), are diametrically separated and tend to favor the law (the law negates morals), while Hans Kelsen and Austin place religious and moral inferiority while favoring positive law. According to Kelsen, the law deals with the form (formal), not the content (material); then, Hart tries to offer the principle of morality as a minimum legal requirement in which the pattern of the relationship is cooperative or independent dialogue. Whereas in the transcendent perspective, law and morals are in a dialogue-integrative relationship. The legislators should have spiritual intelligence; that is, they do not want to be bound and limited by existing standards but want to go beyond and transcend the existing situations (transcendental).  With spirituality, the legislators, who are in accordance with the principle, can produce laws that show the emancipatory of legal transcendency. The laws do not only humanize humans but are also oriented to moral values that originate from God. Benefit: The benefit of this paper is to be the basis for guarding moral values in making the Law, starting from the preparation and initiative for the submission of the draft law, discussion of the draft law, and approval of the draft law. Originality/novelty: Internalization of moral principles in law can produce laws that can make people happy and answer the problems of human life. At least three elements are fulfilled, namely justice, efficacy, and legal certainty. Keywords: transcendency, morals, the formation of laws

Abstract

This community service activity aims to examine the strategic role of the Indonesian language in the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar concept in the elementary school environment of Berau Regency. The primary targets of this activity are elementary school teachers in Berau Regency. The methods used in this activity include workshops, training, consultations, and the development of training materials. Guidance from the PkM Team contributes significantly by providing information, strategies, and approaches that support teachers in using proper Indonesian. Additionally, this PkM initiative enhances collaboration between schools, parents, and other relevant parties in efforts to ensure clarity and fluency in communication through the Indonesian language, helping create an academic environment conducive to the exchange of thoughts and ideas. This community service activity has made a significant contribution to the ability to use the Indonesian language well, not only supporting effective communication among school stakeholders but also facilitating a more inclusive and participatory learning process.

Abstract

Rapat Dewan Council Unesco Global Geopark (UGG) yang digelar di Thailand, Minggu tanggal 4 September 2022, ditetapkan berdasarkan berbagai pertimbangan/konsiderasi sejumlah aspek dari hasill asesement yang telah dilakukan, ditetapkankan bahwa kawasan Maros Geopark resmi menjadi warisan dunia atau UNESCO Global Geopark. Meskipun lokasi wisata ini sudah mendunia namun masih banyak pramuwisata lokal yang masih memiliki kemampuan yang masih kurang dalam menghadapi wisatawan asing. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini yaitu meningkatkan: 1) kesiapan dan kapasitas mitra dalam kemampuan basic safety dan health management, serta transfer teknologi, 2) keterampilan mitra bantuan hidup dasar serta edukasi tentang pencegahan kecelakaan di area wisata, 3) keterampilan advokasi dalam mengatasi masalah sanitasi lingkungan di lokasi wisata, 4) pengetahuan dan keterampilan hospitality dan public speaking kepariwisataan. Diharapkan mampu mengatasi masalah kesehatan, ekonomi, Sosial Kemasyarakatan, dan masalah Teknologi, Komunikasi dan Informasi. Masalah tersebut berdampak pada produksi, manajemen dan pemasaran. metode yang digunakan berupa ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab, simulasi/praktik. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini yaitu Himpunan Pramuwisata Indonesia Cabang Maros. Adapun tahapan kegiatan terdiri dari sosialisasi, pelaksanaan pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan dan evaluasi serta keberlanjutan program. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra. Peningkatan pengetahuan mitra meningkat dari 63% menjadi 85% setelah dilakukan pelatihan. Selain itu, terdapat peningkatan keterampilan manajemen kesehatan dan keselamatan mitra di tempat wisata.

Abstract

Penguasaan media digital dan Artificial Intelligence (AI) menjadi kebutuhan penting dalam pengembangan pendidikan nilai-nilai Islam di era modern yang dinamis. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Phatnawitya, Yala, Thailand, dengan tujuan meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) dan AI secara optimal dalam proses pembelajaran. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra mencakup keterbatasan dalam penggunaan media digital yang relevan serta kurang optimalnya integrasi teknologi AI dalam mengajarkan nilai-nilai keislaman secara efektif. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, solusi yang diterapkan meliputi pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran berbasis AR dan AI, serta pelatihan integrasi teknologi AR dan AI dalam pengajaran nilai-nilai Islam. Evaluasi program dilakukan melalui pretest dan posttest yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan praktis peserta. Rata-rata skor meningkat dari 1,2 menjadi 3,9 dalam skala 4, dengan peningkatan skor minimum dari 0,0 menjadi 3,0. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa program ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi teknis guru serta mendorong pengembangan pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif, kontekstual, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan pendidikan abad ke-21.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of legal education in enhancing legal awareness and compliance of society in Indonesia. The research employs a normative juridical method using a statute approach and a conceptual approach through the examination of scholars’ opinions. The data consist of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials, which were analyzed qualitatively through stages of data reduction, classification, interpretation, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that legal education, both through formal and non-formal channels, significantly contributes to fostering law-abiding citizens. First, legal education develops public knowledge of the principles of the rule of law in Indonesia. Second, it strengthens understanding of the content, objectives, benefits, and sanctions of legal rules. Third, it cultivates a positive attitude toward law based on accurate knowledge and comprehension. Fourth, it encourages consistent behavior in upholding legal norms and regulations. Therefore, legal education plays a strategic role in improving legal awareness and ensuring compliance with the law, ultimately contributing to the realization of a law-abiding society in Indonesia. Keywords: Legal Education; Legal Awareness; Legal Compliance; Indonesia
