Abstract

Equality in education and employment is an important foundation for realizing social justice as mandated by Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. Equality means that every individual has the same rights to access, treatment, and opportunities without discrimination based on gender, religion, ethnicity, social status, or physical condition. In education, equality is realized through equal access to learning facilities, an inclusive curriculum, and equal opportunities for all students to develop. Meanwhile, in the field of employment, equality includes fair opportunities in recruitment, promotion, training, and commensurate income. Education plays a strategic role in building awareness of equality by instilling the values of empathy, tolerance, and social justice. A multicultural approach and inclusive education are key to shaping students who value diversity and reject discrimination. Although various policies have been implemented, such as the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) and affirmative action programs for marginalized groups, challenges such as socio-economic inequality, discrimination, the digital divide, and weak policy implementation remain major obstacles. Therefore, comprehensive efforts are needed, encompassing policy reform, improving teacher quality, and implementing pluralism-based character education to create a just, inclusive, and equal Indonesian society.

Abstract

The formation of Christian character in church-based education often faces challenges when disciplinary approaches rely heavily on punishment and external compliance. This article examines the relevance of behaviorism in shaping Christian character through the lens of positive discipline an approach that emphasizes reinforcement of desirable behavior, nurturing relationships, and the development of intrinsic moral awareness. Using a literature review and a small scale case analysis of contemporary church educational practices, this study evaluates how the principles of reinforcement, modeling, and behavioral consistency can be integrated with Christian values such as love, repentance, and the cultivation of conscience. The findings indicate that behaviorism remains useful when applied selectively within a holistic Christian educational theology. Positive discipline aligns more closely with biblical values because it promotes responsible character growth rather than mere obedience. This article contributes to the pedagogical discourse of church education by proposing an integrative framework that combines behavioristic principles with positive discipline to enhance effective and sustainable Christian character formation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the components of the Christian Religious Education (CRE) curriculum in the family, its design and development, and its concrete implementation. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design through library research, using data sources such as books, academic journals, and relevant articles. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative techniques to produce a systematic and in-depth description. The findings show that the CRE curriculum in the family consists of interconnected components, namely objectives, content, strategies, methods, and evaluation, which must be implemented in an integrated manner. Faith education in the family is carried out through methods such as role modeling, habituation, teaching, discussion, mentoring, and practical application. Effective strategies include parental role modeling, dialogical communication, and love-based discipline. The implementation of the curriculum is realized through concrete activities such as family prayer, family worship, Bible reading, and the application of Christian values in daily life. In conclusion, the success of Christian Religious Education in the family largely depends on the active role and consistency of parents in implementing the curriculum in a holistic and continuous manner. With the right approach, the family can become an effective center of faith education in shaping children who are faithful, character-driven, and prepared to face life’s challenges.

Abstract

This paper discusses the principles of Jesus’ teachings that are relevant for building effective and transformative learning within the context of contemporary education. Jesus is known as the Great Teacher who taught with authority, closeness, and methods capable of transforming the thinking, attitudes, and behavior of His listeners. Through biblical analysis and pedagogical examination, this study identifies several key principles, including the use of stories and parables to facilitate deep understanding, a dialogical approach that encourages active participation, contextualization of the message according to the listeners’ social background, modeling as a form of learning through example, and an emphasis on character transformation as the ultimate goal of education. The study concludes that the principles of Jesus’ teaching are not only effective in delivering content but also play a significant role in shaping the internal transformation of learners. By adapting these principles, modern educators can build learning processes that are more meaningful, holistic, and transformation-oriented.
