Abstract

Community-based tourism development in Terak Village, Central Bangka Regency, has considerable potential due to its natural tourism resources and local community involvement. However, these resources require capacity building to support more integrated and directed tourism development. This community engagement program aimed to strengthen local understanding of destination development through the 6A framework (Attractions, Accessibility, Amenities, Accommodation, Ancillary, and Activities) and Sapta Pesona. The activity was part of the Community Development Village Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Bangka Belitung, which was initiated in 2025 through preliminary data collection on the tourism potential and existing conditions of Terak Village. The socialization activity was conducted on July 30, 2026, at the Tahura Mangkol Multipurpose Hall and involved members of Pokdarwis Bujang Squad, the Youth Organization, and local tourism practitioners. The activity employed socialization, participatory discussion, and descriptive evaluation based on participant engagement and the relevance of the materials to local tourism development needs. The results indicate that strengthening the 6A framework helped participants understand destination development more systematically, while Sapta Pesona provided a value-based foundation for improving the quality of the tourism environment and visitor experience. The activity also served as an initial step toward strengthening local capacity and shared understanding among tourism stakeholders.
