Abstract

Hilla, located in Central Maluku Regency, boasts a gently sloping to steep topography. Extensive green plantations dominate the region. However, water resources, a primary need for the community and agricultural land, remain an unresolved challenge. This community service activity was conducted to assess the potential of groundwater in the Hilla area and provide a basis for effective management. Therefore, geophysical applications, specifically geoelectricity, were utilized to identify potential rock aquifers for groundwater storage. The potential aquifer, based on 2D resistivity cross-section data from geoelectrical readings, was identified at the second location, at a depth of 10-15 meters, and is thought to be formed by sedimentary limestone. This interpretation offers valuable insights for the Hilla community and local government to explore and utilize groundwater resources in the surrounding area. Another positive impact is that the Hilla area can meet its need for reliable and economical groundwater sources directly within its own region, without requiring supply from nearby areas or cities. This ensures that the local community's daily activities are effectively met.

Abstract

Ambon City, located in the Maluku Province, is experiencing rapid development. This rapid development has resulted in an increasing number of areas that should absorb water being covered by roads and buildings, leading to a decrease in water absorption into the ground and frequent flooding in several areas around the coast. This is due to the drastic increase in rainwater volume, which exceeds the capacity of drainage channels (culverts) and ultimately leads to flooding in rivers. Identifying flood-prone areas is crucial for estimating the potential impact of flooding. The results can be one of the flood mitigation efforts in the area. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) can be a solution for obtaining information on identifying and predicting flood-prone areas by creating, transforming, and analyzing field observation data into maps that show flood-prone areas. In this study, various factors and variables were collected and adjusted with specific considerations drawn from multiple references and reference materials to identify and predict flood vulnerability in the area. The analysis indicates that 5.98% of the coastal area in Teluk Ambon Baguala District has a very high vulnerability to flooding, while 58.89% of the coastal area is characterized by a high level of vulnerability to flooding.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas fasies batugamping dan lingkungan pengendapan Formasi Kalipucang berumur Miosen Tengah, dan tersingkap di Karangnunggal, Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat. Pengelompokkan fasies batugamping ini berdasarkan pada tekstur batuan dan komposisi skeletal (bioclast). Fasies batugamping Formasi Kalipucang dapat dikelompokkan menjadi 7 fasies, yaitu: (1) batugamping packstone berkomposisi dominan alga, (2) batugamping rudstone, (3) batugamping packstone berkomposisi dominan foraminifera, (4) batugamping wackestone – packstone berkomposisi foraminifera, (5) batugamping grainstone berkomposisi alga, (6) batugamping grainstone berkomposisi foramifera, dan (7) batugamping packstone berkomposisi coral. Batugamping Formasi Kalipucang ini diinterpretasikan diendapkan dalam lingkungan foreslope–deep shelf margin and barrier– shelf lagoon pada sebuah paparan yang terisolasi dari endapan volkanik.Kata kunci: batugamping, fasies, lingkungan pengendapan, Formasi Kalipucang, Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat

Abstract

Identifikasi bidang gelincir telah dilakukan di Batu Koneng, Kota Ambon dengan menggunakan metode geolistrik konfigurasi dipole-dipole. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menginterpretasi lapisan batuan bawah permukaan di area penelitian melalui nilai resistivitas guna mengetahui adanya potensi bidang gelincir yang menyebabkan longsor. Data pengukuran dilakukan sebanyak 4 lintasan dengan panjang 110 m yang pengolahan datanya menggunakan software Res2Dinv. Hasil interpretasi menunjukkan bahwa di lokasi penelitian terdeteksi litologi lempung dengan variasi nilai resistivitas 8,77-24,9 Ωm. Sedangkan lapisan lain diduga sebagai batu gamping dengan variasi nilai resistivitas 23,0-70,1 Ωm. Bidang gelincir diduga berupa lapisan lempung yang terdeteksi pada semua penampang lintasan, untuk penampang 1 ditemukan pada kedalaman 1,25 m hingga 6,76 m, untuk penampang 2 ditemukan pada kedalaman 1,25 m hingga 8 m. Sedangkan pada penampang 3 pada kedalaman 1,25 m hingga 11 m dan penampang 4 menjadi lapisan yang paling dalam yaitu 1,25 m hingga 24 m.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut peserta didik dan tenaga pendidik di jenjang menengah untuk memiliki literasi digital yang baik. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 3 Ambon dengan tujuan meningkatkan literasi digital melalui pengenalan penggunaan LibreOffice, sebuah perangkat lunak open source yang gratis dan legal. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dan edukatif, yang terdiri dari tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, serta evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Kegiatan ini mendapat respons positif, terlihat dari antusiasme peserta selama sesi pemaparan dan diskusi. Sebagai bentuk evaluasi, peserta mengisi kuesioner untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman peserta terhadap materi mencapai 65,7%, tergolong dalam kategori cukup baik. Pernyataan nomor 3 memperoleh skor rata-rata tertinggi (3,34), sedangkan pernyataan nomor 4 dan 6 memiliki skor terendah (2,51), yang menunjukkan bahwa aspek waktu dan minat terhadap penggunaan LibreOffice masih perlu ditingkatkan.
