Abstract

Mount Gupit is an area with gold mineralization potential which is part of the Menoreh Mountains, in the Magelang area. Mineralization potential mapping was carried out using geophysics, namely the Induced Polarization method. Induced Polarization Method measurements were carried out in 5 trajectories in a relatively west to east direction and with varying path lengths. The configuration used is a dipole-dipole configuration with a: 10 meters and n: 1-6. Interpretation is carried out on the results of the Resistivity and Chargeability data inversion. The inversion results show a resistivity range from 2 to 400 Ohm-m. Resistivity values are divided into three criteria, namely low with a value of less than 10 Ohm-m as clay rock, medium with a range of (10-75) Ohm-m as pyroclastic breccia and high with a value greater than 75 Ohm-m as intrusion or chunks of andesite. The inversion results show that the chargeability value varies from 2 to 80 ms. This value is divided into three criteria, namely low (<10 ms), medium (10 to 35) ms and high (>35 ms). Low chargeability values are interpreted as zones that are not mineralized so that there are no metal minerals. The mineralized zone is being interpreted from a moderate chargeability value. Meanwhile, a high chargeability value is interpreted as a zone that is strongly mineralized and contains significant metallic minerals. The existence of a mineralized zone stretches from track 2 to track 5 to the north, while the zone has disappeared or been exhausted in track 1 to the south of the research area.

Abstract

Senawang District is an area in Sumbawa Province with a high level of drought. This study aims to provide additional information about groundwater to support the availability of clean water in Senawang District. The study used Geoelectric-Schlumberger Method as main method of subsurface identification. The acquisition was conducted with 10 points acquisition, with spacing between points is 200 m and the line stretch of 250 m. The results of data processing are a vertical resistivity variation in depth at each point measurement. This result will be interpreted into the type of rock and the presence of groundwater. The interpretation shows that the presence of groundwater aquifer with resistivity of 12.54 – 26.28 m, thickness 4.59 – 7.95 m, depth (upper part of the layer) 23.29 – 50.56 m. The type of groundwaters aquifer in the study area are confined aquifers.

Abstract

Water, serving as a vital resource, finds applications in diverse sectors such as agriculture (irrigation), drinking watersupply, flood control, and hydroelectric power generation. On a smaller scale, the construction of "Embung" or smallartificial reservoirs facilitates water storage during the rainy season for subsequent use in the dry season. Within thestudy area, a reservoir constructed in 2018 has never attained full capacity, a circumstance that piqued the author'sinterest. A combined approach utilizing aerial photogrammetry and ground observation is employed for comprehensiveanalysis. Aerial photogrammetry yields an extensive and accurately depicted geometric representation of geologicalstructures. The investigation focuses on the Semilir Formation, a volcanic formation. Findings reveal that the studyarea manifests a division into nine (9) segments discerned from distinct structural trends. These segments are delineatedby eight (8) faults, with the major fault identified as Fault F6. Fault F6 exhibits a prevailing NNE-SSW trend, consistent with the primary fault on the regional geological map. Notably, Fault F6 encompasses a substantial faultzone traversing the Baturagung Reservoir and stands accountable for the reservoir's leakage.
