Abstract

The statistics training using the SPSS application in the Management Department, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Pattimura aims to enhance students' understanding and skills in analyzing quantitative research data. In today’s era of technological advancement, proficiency in statistics and its applications is crucial for students to produce competent and high-quality research. This training involved 22 students and was conducted in the Marketing and Business Laboratory through lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice. The speaker, a lecturer from La Trobe University, Australia, provided insights into using SPSS for both descriptive and inferential data analysis. The step-by-step application of SPSS for descriptive and inferential statistics was demonstrated with practical examples, making it easier for students to understand.

Abstract

The research aims to find out the regression of job achievement motivation towards employee's working satisfaction, the regression of characteristic leadership towards employee's working satisfaction, internal culture towards employee's working satisfaction, job achievement motivation towards employee's working performance, the influence of characteristic leadership towards working performance, the regression of internal culture towards employee's working performance, and the regression of working satisfaction towards employee's working performance in PT. Pura Barutama, the company from Indonesia. The sample is 105 employees. The Questionnaire is used as the instrument while the data analysis is done by using Structural Equation Modeling program. The research found that there is a significant effect of achievement motivation variable towards working satisfaction shown by positive regression. It is also proven by the regression that characteristic leadership is not influential towards working satisfaction of employee; internal culture has a positive effect towards working satisfaction. Meanwhile, achievement motivation has positive regression towards working performance. Characteristic leadership towards working performance is also proven to have regression. Internal culture has a positive effect towards the working performance and working satisfaction also has a positive effect towards working performance.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is one of the keys to enhancing the economic independence of society, especially amidst the challenges of the global economy and digital transformation. This service program aims to provide training and counselling to students and alumni of the Management Department who are also entrepreneurs, in order to enhance their skills and understanding in managing independent businesses. The methods used include interactive workshops, case-based business simulations, and personal mentoring. The results show a significant improvement in participants' understanding of basic entrepreneurship concepts, financial management, and digital technology adaptation strategies. In addition, changes in participants' mindsets regarding business risks and the importance of innovation were also achieved. This program successfully created an adaptive and innovative entrepreneurial community, thereby supporting the sustainable development of a locally-based economy. Abstract

The corona virus diseases 2019 (Covid-19) has spread widely in Indonesia since the beginning of 2020. Until recently, this pandemic has gradually disturbed the whole social and economic sectors including banking industry. Bankers are facing various challenges and uncertainties in sustaining their businesses and simultaneously anticipating the better situation in the future. This research is aimed to identify the impact of capital adequacy, loan distribution, and efficiency on the profitability of Bank Maluku Malut in the Covid-19 pandemic period. This bank is basically categorized as a commercial bank. However, it also being recognized as a regional development bank. In total, there were 26 regional development banks in Indonesia. All financial data of Bank Maluku Malut which are required for analysis in this research are gathered from the Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK). These data were analyzed using a multiple linear regression model. It was found that the loan distribution has a significant and positive influence on the profitability. Meanwhile, the efficiency has a significant but negative impact on the profitability. The other finding is that the capital adequacy has no impact on the bank’s profitability.
