Abstract

Untuk membentuk suatu produk dibutuhkan pahat yang berputar yag mana setiap giginya melakukan pemotongan sehingga terjadi pengurangan material bila menggunakan mesin frais vertikal yag sumbu spindelnya tegak lurus dengan meja. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar nilai kekasaran permukaan benda uji  baja stainless steel dengan variasi kecepatan potong. Adapun metode yang digunakan secara eksperimental dimana alat pemotongnya pahat HSS dan benda uji stainless steel  menggunakan mesin frais vertikal. Dengan melakukan variasi kecepatan potong 59,346 m/min, 79,128 m/min, 98,910 m/min, 118,692 m/min dan 138,474 m/min kedalaman pemakanan konstan 1 mm diperoleh berbagai nilai kekasaran Ra dan waktu pemotongan. Setelah pengujian dilakukan dengan mesin frais maka nilai kekasaran permukaan benda uji untuk varasi kecepatan potong adalah 2.310 μm,  1.961 μm , 1.796 μm, 1.608 μm, 1.425 μm dan perolehan waktu pemotongan 55,23 detik; 43,37 detik; 38,25 detik; 31,19 detik; 29,42 detik. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi kecepatan potong maka akan semakin rendah nilai kekasaran permukaan Ra termesin begitu pula diikuti oleh waktu pemotongan. Kekasaran permukaan Ra terendah pada kecepatan potong 138,474 m/menit adalah 1.425 μm. Dan nilai kekasaran permukaan tertinggi pada kecepatan potong 59,346 m/menit adalah 2.310 μm.

Abstract

The Student Creativity Program (PKM) aims to increase the income of corn farmers in Pematang Kasih Village, Pantai Cermin District, through the introduction and application of corn threshing tools. The background of this activity is the low productivity of corn farmers caused by the threshing process which is still done manually, so it takes a lot of time and energy. Through this activity, socialization, training, and distribution of corn threshing tools to local farmers are carried out. The methods used in this activity include designing and making machines, theory and lectures, and training in using the tools. For a corn harvest of 1 hectare, if the corn cobs from the corn harvest are sold to collectors by corn farmers in the amount of 1 ton with the price provision from the collector of Rp. 3,100 / kg, then the funds obtained are Rp. 3,100,000. With the acquisition of Rp. 3,100,000, corn farmers have made a profit including the cost of jetting the land, buying seeds and fertilizers, spraying pests. The use of corn threshing tools will certainly make corn farmers experience even greater profits after drying the corn that is ready to be sold for Rp. 6,500/kg to each animal feed store with the consequence of having land for drying. The results of the activity show that the use of corn shellers can increase the efficiency of the shelling process by up to 70% and significantly increase farmers' income ≥75% including operational costs. In addition, this activity also improves farmers' skills in utilizing modern agricultural technology. Thus, this PKM activity is expected to be a model for empowering rural communities through technology, which not only improves farmers' welfare but also contributes to local economic development.

Abstract

Eid al-Fitr is often used as an important momentum for the Muslim community to stay in touch and celebrate victory after a month of fighting against our own desires, which are the biggest enemies in our lives. Our desires have led us to an excessive love of wealth, luxury, position and power. From a sociological perspective, our society today seems to be experiencing what is called anomie. Anomie is a critical condition in society resulting from social change where old norms/values fade, but new norms/values that will replace them have not yet been formed. Thus, in school community life, it is as if there are no norms or values. The Oxford Dictionary connects the meaning of integrity with a person's personality, namely being honest and complete. There are also those who define integrity as moral excellence and equate integrity with "true self". Integrity is also defined as acting consistently in accordance with values and codes of ethics. In other words, integrity is defined as "only words and actions." The main aim of this activity is to help participants build a strong self-identity based on Islamic teachings. By reflecting on Islamic values and applying them in everyday life, it is hoped that participants can strengthen their identity as devout and responsible Muslims.

Abstract

Roads in several villages have major problems, namely damage that occurs at several points on the road and the absence of road signs. This problem also occurs in Pematang Panjang Village, Air Putih District, Batubara Regency. To overcome this problem and facilitate road access to the hamlets in Pematang Panjang Village, the Community Service Team has carried out activities to provide road signs for local hamlets to facilitate and complete the infrastructure for directional guidance to the hamlets. The activity is carried out in 4 (four) activity stages, namely: 1. Firstly carrying out a field survey at the location which will later become the installation point for the village road sign, 2. Preparing tools and materials to make the village road sign, 3. Carrying out the painting process and 4. Installation of village road signs by students assisted by youth and local communities. There are 13 signs with the name of the hamlet. This program received support and assistance from the youth and community of PematangGanjang Village so that it could be implemented well. In the process of activities from preparation to program implementation, no significant obstacles were found.
