Abstract

Dutch eggplant is a fresh fruit that is rich in health benefits. Apart from its delicious taste, tamarillo contains a variety of important nutrients, including vitamin C, antioxidants and fiber. The aim of this research is to determine the demand for Dutch eggplant (Solanum Betaceum) in the Medan Tuntungan District Main Market case study. The determination of respondents in this study was divided into 2 categories, namely tamarillo fruit traders and consumers who bought tamarillo fruit. For tamarillo fruit traders, all tamarillo fruit traders who were in the main market in Medan Tuntungan District were determined, while for tamarillo fruit consumers it was determined individually. The census numbered 25 people. The results of the research show that the factors that simultaneously influence the demand for tamarillo fruit in the main market are the price of tamarillo fruit, consumer income, and the price of other fruit for the number of dependents variable which does not influence the demand for tamarillo fruit in the main market at Medan Tuntungan subdistrict.

Abstract

The increasingly dynamic business environment compels State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) to undergo comprehensive transformation, particularly in the management of human resources (HR). PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV (PTPN IV), as a plantation-sector SOE, faces challenges in fostering a work culture that is adaptive, competent, and value-driven. The background of this research stems from the limited effectiveness of organizational values internalization and the suboptimal efficiency of organizational performance. The central research question is how to develop an HR transformation model based on the Core Values of AKHLAK (Trustworthy, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, and Collaborative) that can enhance organizational performance efficiency. This study aims to design and test a value-based model of AKHLAK implementation within the framework of work culture transformation at PTPN IV. The research applies a mixed methods approach, combining quantitative surveys, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Preliminary findings indicate that AKHLAK values are significantly associated with the development of work behavior and habits that support sustainable organizational performance. The proposed model is expected to serve as a strategic reference for value-based HR transformation in SOEs.

Abstract

Roads in several villages have major problems, namely damage that occurs at several points on the road and the absence of road signs. This problem also occurs in Pematang Panjang Village, Air Putih District, Batubara Regency. To overcome this problem and facilitate road access to the hamlets in Pematang Panjang Village, the Community Service Team has carried out activities to provide road signs for local hamlets to facilitate and complete the infrastructure for directional guidance to the hamlets. The activity is carried out in 4 (four) activity stages, namely: 1. Firstly carrying out a field survey at the location which will later become the installation point for the village road sign, 2. Preparing tools and materials to make the village road sign, 3. Carrying out the painting process and 4. Installation of village road signs by students assisted by youth and local communities. There are 13 signs with the name of the hamlet. This program received support and assistance from the youth and community of PematangGanjang Village so that it could be implemented well. In the process of activities from preparation to program implementation, no significant obstacles were found.
