Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship pedagogical professional competence of teachers in the learning process of Social Studies, knowing the attitude and behavior of teachers in teaching Social Studies in school and know the social competence of teachers related to the learning activities of Social Studies. This study used qualitative method in order to get a more in depth data through research informants. Source of the data obtained is by using interviews, observation, and literature. Sources of data in this study came from key informants, there are the head of the SMPN 119 Jakarta, students of SMPN 119 Jakarta and one of the teachers who teach in SMPN 119 Jakarta, while the core informants are two Social Studies teachers in SMPN 119 Jakarta. The results of this study conclude there is a linkage between pedagogical competence with professional competence of Social Studies teachers. Although Social Studies teachers experiencing barriers to the delivery and mastery of the material in the classroom so that teachers have the initiative to learn the material and adapt instructional media (power point) will be presented and add a reference from various sources as well as teachers of Social Studies also uses two-way learning namely the relationship of interaction and communication between teachers and students in order to create active learning. Social Studies teachers applying the attitudes and behaviors of discipline, responsibility, tolerance, mutual help also directly taught by teachers through direct interaction and real actions of the school environment. Social competence of Social Studies teachers in terms of interaction and communication that teachers of Social Studies taking place with fellow teachers, students and school committee.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) mengetahui kompetensi profesional guru IPS setelah mengikuti MGMP IPS Kecamatan Cengkareng Jakarta Barat dan (2) mengetahui peranan MGMP IPS dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru IPS di Kecamatan Cengkareng Jakarta Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel berupa purpose sampling. Sumber data berasal dari data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Metode yang digunakan dalam analisis data adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, hingga penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) MGMP IPS Kecamatan Cengkareng Jakarta Barat adalah wadah guru mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru IPS, (2) dalam melaksanakan kegiatan MGMP IPS Kecamatan  Cengkareng  Jakarta  Barat  mempunyai  peran  sebagai  reformator dengan mengembangkan materi ajar melalui sumber-sumber lain dan media pembelajaran berbasis IT, mediator dengan mensosialisasikan kurikulum dan perangkat pembelajaran yaitu kurikulum 2013, supporting agency dengan mengembangkan   metode   pembelajaran,   dan   kolaborator   mengundang   nara sumber dan membuat kegiatan berbagi pengamalan antar teman sejawat.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the implementation of ICT based Drills model to improve student learning result of social sciences subject. This research has been done in class VIII A with 32 students in Diponegoro I Junior High School East Jakarta school year of 20182019 from March to May 2019. The method used in this research is classroom action research that has 3 cycles where each cycle consists of four steps: Planning, Acting, Observing, and Reflecting. According to the research finding, the learning result occurs enhancement in each cycle. In the cycle 1 as big as 21,8% (7 students) reaches score that is above the minimum completeness criteria 75 with the average of learning result 54,56, in cycle 2 becomes 50% (16 students) reaches score that above the minimum completeness criteria 75 with the average of learning result 76,75, and in cycle 3 becomes 93,75% (30 students) reaches score that is above the minimum completeness criteria 75 with the average of learning result 85,12.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran tentang Strategi Pembelajaran Bimbingan Belajar LCC dalam Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa SMP Pada Pelajaran IPS. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Tutor IPS dan Siswa SMP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan tutor IPS berpacu pada beberapa konsep strategi pembelajaran, seperti Menyusun tujuan pembelajaran, Merangkai kegiatan pembelajaran yang akan dilaksanakan; Melaksanakan evaluasi pembelajaran IPS, membuat target-target yang harus dicapai oleh peserta didik; Membuat kegiatan belajar mengajar menjadi nyaman dan rilex; Melalui kegiatan edukasi tutor ips memberikan motivasi belajar, menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang bervariasi. Misalnya metode role playing, diskusi, games, tanya-jawab yang membuat mereka merasa semangat kembali. Tutor-tutor IPS di LCC juga menerapkan berbagai macam ciri-ciri metode yang baik seperti pengggunaan fasilitas LCC sebagai penunjang pembelajaran. Fasilitas pembelajaran yang dimaksud seperti Roadshow PTN, Dream School, dsb; Membuat proses pembelajaran menjadi relax dan santai, mengikuti saran/kritik dari siswa; Membuat materi pelajaran menjadi luas, dan memberikan praktik serta teori; Memberikan siswa kesempatan untuk mengemukakan pendapat dan mampu menempatkan diri sebagai pengajar dalam posisi yang tepat, terhormat. Konsep pembelajaran di LCC yaitu menggunakan metode fast learning sudah berjalan dengan baik. Melihat sikap belajar siswa yang tergolong baik dan termotivasi dengan cara tutor IPS dalam mengajar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the application of Mood, Understand, Recall, Digest, Expand, Review (MURDER) learning model can improve learning outcomes IPS students VIII-8 SMP Negeri 138 Jakarta first semester of the 2018/2019 Lesson Year from October to November 2018. The method used in this research is Action Research Class (PTK). This study uses three cycles, and each cycle consists of four stages: Planning Action, Action Acting, Observation, and Reflection. Based on the results of thestudy of the learning results have increased in each cycle, the one cycle of 34% (13 students) obtained the value of learning outcomes above KKM 73, cycle two 61% (22 students) reaches above KKM 73, and the third cycle 86% (31 students) reached the score above KKM 73. In addition, the success of the increase also occurred in the implementation of the activity of asking, answering, arguing, and solving the problem in the Thus it can be concluded that the application of Mood, Understand, Recall, Digest, Expand, Review (MURDER) learning model can improve learning outcomes of IPS learners and can improve the learner activity, so that learners can get better IPS learning outcomes that are above KKM standard 73.

Abstract

This research is airned at potraying the improvement of students learning outcome and activeness in social science subject using Cooperative Tipe Paired Storytelling model instruction. The research method used in this study was Classroom Action Research conducted collaboratively with social studies teacher. This research is conducted in VIII-3 Public Middle School 28 Tangerang with the total participants is 35 students. This research uses three cycles, in which each cycle consists of four stages, namely: Planning, Acting, Observation, and Reflection. The findings of this research showed that there is an improvement of students learning outcome and activeness in social science subject. In cycle I, 37% or 13 students scored above KKM 72. In cycle II, 60% or 21 students scored above KKM 72. In cycle III, 89% or 31 students scored above KKM 72. The percentage of the improvement of students skill in asking questions, answering, giving opinions, and solve the problem. In conclusion, the implementation of Cooperative Tipe Paired Storytelling model instruction can improve the students learning outcome and activeness, especially in VIII-3 Public Middle School 28 Tangerang. Therefore, the implementation of Cooperative Tipe Paired Storytelling model instruction is recommended to be used by all of the social science teachers in creating the enjoyable learning atmosphere and improving the students learning outcome and activeness.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) Know the factors cause children to prefer working as builder rather than go to school. (2) Know the social interaction of child labourers in builder at the work environment (3) Knowing the changes lifestyle of child labourers after working as builder. This researched in RW.05 Kalimukti Village, Pabedilan District, Cirebon Regency more than three month since March to May 2019. The method used in this research is qualitative research methods, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and documentation. Data sources in this research are key informants and core informants consist of the chairperson of RW.05, head of a village 03, head of builder and parents of child laborers as key informants and four child laborers as builder as core informants. The results of research are conclude that (1) Factors underlying children who choose to work as builder rather than go to school are less of motivation to learn; Environment; Self-will (independent); Economic crush (2) There are forms of social interaction on child labourers in the form of cooperation, accommodation and obstacles in the form of conflicts that occur in child labourers in the work environment. As for the things that become barriers to child labor such as adaptation to the new environment (3) There is a change in lifestyle on the better habits in children after they are work as builder. As well as changes in the appearance and economic independence caused by the income received after work.
